Description:
"Zombie Smash isn’t just the best castle defense game, zombie game, ragdoll game, horror game, action game, but also one of the very best games ever made for the iPhone, and the best thus far in 2010." 5/5 - AppAdvice, Trevor Sheridan "It's Home Alone meets Dawn of the Dead in this mischievously good castle defence game." 8/10, Pocket Gamer, Tracy Erickson "I've been playing with a beta of Gamedoctors' ZombieSmash! for three weeks now and I can honestly say it's the most fun I've ever had on my iPhone." TUAW.com, Michael Grothaus "ZombieSmash has evidently received a lot of love from the developers, who have attempted to liven up the stale flicking gameplay that comes with most castle defense games. As a result, ZombieSmash really does stand head and shoulders above its competition." Toucharcade, Windburn ZombieSmash! is a “Survival Comedy” game, featuring undead-themed castle defense and entertaining, physics-based gameplay. The game casts players as Joey, a lone survivor pit against a herd of writhing, unrelenting zombies - to defeat the undead masses, players must use their fingers to flick and smash them until they're un-undead. •To aid players in their fight, over 20 specials and upgrades allow for creative zombie demolition - including fun implements like asteroids, wrecking balls, liquid nitrogen and a gigantic, rolling boulder – combine specials (for instance, smash nitrogen-frozen zombies with a boulder!) for added hilarity. •Sophisticated ragdoll physics produce unique and hysterical zombie deaths, and the proprietary SplatterEngine™ renders adorable cartoon blood and gore in a convincing and entertaining fashion. •Three game modes provide limitless replay value: oCampaign Mode challenges players to survive for 31 intense days against the mounting zombie threat. oEndless Siege Mode confronts them with a never-ending zombie assault - hold out as long as possible, racking up an ever-rising body count. oSandbox Mode gives you all the tools to rain destruction down on those stinking, moaning zombies without any of the peril. •Social features including Chillingo’s Crystal and Playhaven for online and community support, and the ability to share screenshots of your best ZombieSmashing moments! •Original soundtrack produced by famed game music composer Chris Hülsbeck, the talented musician behind the scores to classic games like Turrican, Giana Sisters and the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series.

Reviews:
Awesome! By: LiveTouch - Mar 19, 2010 Version: 1 With gorgeous touch controls and terrific weapons, the game is funny and addictive. The zombies appear randomly and each level has is own difficulty and surprises, so the game never seems repetitive. The ragdoll physics are bloody, you can throw deads all over the screen and play with their head or their arm. The stars for each death are a great idea, they add a different touch on the gameplay and a good one as they are useful on the shop. Campaign is well balanced with a nice beginning and very hard moments at the end. I like Endless too because of the checkpoints and how the house view is changing :) And of course, Sandbox allows you to do what you want with the weapons & zombies so you can have hours of fun. One of the best castle defense games on iPhone :)
Well done By: App Freak 7895 - Mar 18, 2010 Version: 1 This is an app that has been very well thought out. Throughout the game are nice touches such as how the paper looks or the physics of bodies flying through the air. I very much appreciate being able to reduce or cut out the gore for younger kids. Here are my favorite parts: I can choose easy or hard per level-not committed throughout the game to a particular difficulty level. Also, I can choose easy for a 5 minute break and finish a level or play longer on harder. Very well done.
GREAT! VERY POLISHED, AWESOME PHYSICS By: lphiewillow - Mar 18, 2010 Version: 1 I happened to meet someone who was demo-ing the game pre-release. I was immediately WOWed by the amount of polish and attention to detail; most notably the art style and physics engine. Zombie games are plentiful but this one stands out as a cut above the rest. I mean, you can actually pull them apart limb by limb, the particle and blood effects are so detailed and best yet, it runs just as smoothly on a 1st gen iphone as it does on a 3GS. You can tell they put alot of effort into making it run super smooth.Great job! Well worth the price of admission.
I'm Going to Betty Ford Clinic By: Scarybooster.com - Mar 18, 2010 Version: 1 After playing several hours of this game, I am addicted. Put me in a room next to Tiger Woods. I've run into minor bugs, but nothing a quick fix can't take care of. I look forward to any new content in the future. This is a well done game and I can't wait to play more like it from Gamedoctors. Look for my full review at Scarybooster.com next week. For a $1.99 you would be stupid not to buy this game. I would have paid $5 for this kind of quality.
Finally! By: Slembcke - Mar 17, 2010 Version: 1 I've been following the progress of this game since September I think. I got in on the beta test a few weeks ago and the wait was definitly worth it. The art in this game is top notch, everything animates nicely, and there is always a ton of mayhem flying around the screen. They were really able to push the limits of the iPhone with this game. During the beta testing period, the developers took all the feedback very seriously, and the game has turned out great. It's pretty long and will take you a few hours to beat it the first time through, and that's not even counting the hard mode or buying all of the unlockable weapons. Definitely a two thumbs up recommendation.
Quick review: We Love You Too. By: Birdie Dave - Mar 17, 2010 Version: 1 This game is a love letter to zombie fans, physics fans, and fans of pure interactive fun. Zombiesmash Is one of those games that takes a familiar formula, in this case castle defense, and finds the secret ingredient that was missing from all of its competition. remember how much better half life 2 was when havoc physics got involved? well, welcome to Castle defense 2.0. not to mention all of the awsome weapons extras and.... sorry.. i think i hear something moaning outside my door... yup... more zombies... gotta go teach them newtons law...COMING DOWN!!!....
Shocking... By: Alexaown - 18-Mar-2010 Version: 1 ...ly GOOD! Absolutely amazing replay value! The game play is great! It's a bit like playing pillage the village when you have to kill everyone by throwing them on the floor! I love sandbox mode where you can smash them to your delight! I like the weapons like boulders, an avalanche of rocks, grenade, even a pistol, wrecking ball, mines and there's still about 7 I have to unlock which is awesome!!!! A no brainer buy now!!!
A Good Start... By: What Goes Bump - Mar 18, 2010 Version: 1 This game has ALOT of promise. The animation is great, there is a good number of unique enemies and weapons, and in the end it's fun. BUT it is waaaay to much of a Knights Onrush clone. And if we learned anything from that game, it's that eventually you will get to a high enough level where you will just be swiping the screen so fast your arm will get tired. I would like to see WAY more use of the guns and other weapons, I personally don't feel like you should even be able to pick up the zombies. I find my self playing level 14 which is guns only no swiping, more than anything else. Overall a good game, that's worth the price, but could use some improvements
Great game By: ManiacalMatt - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 Level 25 is impossible on Normal level. I hate to see what hard looks like. I can't grab them fast enough. Can the developer even beat this thing!?
Sandbox all the way By: Hobo zombie - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 So awsome. Play till level 4 and higher so you can unlock sandbox. You can place zombies big and small fat and skinney and then crush them with tens of boulders, land mines, grenades , rocks and much much much more. You can have guns too.
Very fun By: vipercon - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 Extremely entertaining. The physics are great! Just get it!
ZombieSmash By: -iReview4you- - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 Awesome game. Get it. That's all I'm going to say.
On par with PvsZ By: Grrrrt - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 It's on the same level of awesomeness as plants vs zombies. GET IT!!
Whatshisface By: Tumbleweedrec - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 There's lots of zombie games out right now.. This ones two bucks and five stars.-FACE
Possibly best zombie game yet By: M. Austin - Mar 20, 2010 Version: 1 Tons of fun (although level 25 feels like it's impossible to get past).
Best zombie game By: Havok559 - Mar 19, 2010 Version: 1 Best game

Amazing. By: JanBler - Mar 19, 2010 Version: 1 One of the best games IN the appstore. I have purchased more than 200 apps and I can confidently state that this here is in my top 5 purchases.Variety, humor, physics and a great array of enimies and weapons; the game has it all. Additionally the dev i planning on releasing updates, hes in production of the first one right now!Buy this game; you will not regret it.
After talking to the developer at GDC and demoing it, I had to buy! By: David Montgomery-Blake - Mar 19, 2010 Version: 1 While I was working my booth at GDC and trying to answer a multitude of questions, I had the developer of ZS stop by and show me his game. After a few minutes of playing it, I was hooked and knew that I would pick it up as soon as it hit the app store. Not only is this game great, but I'll be watching for anything new coming from gamedoctors since they've worked hard to nail gameplay!
