For those of you that are giving this a low rating because you are not happy with your calculated BMI, I think other is important for you to do some research on what a BMI represents. I am a doctor and it is well accepted that this calculation has it's limitations. It obviously does not discriminate between 10# of muscle or fat. A more realistic estimate of obesity is hip to waist ratio. In summary, don't give the program a low score because you don't understand what BMI is meant for. The program does exactly what it say- for free.

Works as advertised. Input pertinent data and get a BMI, nothing more, nothing less. Seems like it will work well for me to perform this calulation before going in to see a patient. Also glad it give the option of inches/pounds and centimeters/pounds. It would be easier if it popped up a number keypad only instead of the whole keyboard. If it had just a little bigger entry spots and a number pad only pop up it would be a 5 star from me. Not sure why someone thinks you need to distinguish the sex to calculate a BMI because you don't!

Don't listen to the reviews that say this app is inaccurate. You just need to make sure that you have selected the correct units. (inches and lbs) vs (cm and kg). I use this app everyday as a medical assistant for both pediatrics and family practice. Try checking the bmi values yourself by using another source and you will see that this app is accurate.

Easy calculator and it trends your weight loss. Or it just calculates for the health care proffesional quickly the BMI of the client. Great free application.

This is working fine. It does what it's supposed to. Prob people who got "overweight" may have not changed the units of measurement? By default, it's set in metric, which makes a quite bit of difference.Also, you should know BMI is completely different from Body Fat.

Yes, it works! My BMI reading on this app is consistent with readings on WiiFit and apps on the Internet. Remember folks, it measures body mass, not body fat. See a sports doc if you want an accurate measure of body fat. Calipers are used to measure body fat. Also, make sure that you are selecting your preferred unit of measurement (kilos or pounds).

As other people have said, it does what it's suppose to. Make sure your using the proper measurement is all. It sure beats doing the math out by hand! :)

I like that it has a graph to record ur progress. I never really realized how much I was overweight. I recommend this app to anyone who doesn't know if they're overweight or not & by how much percent.

I got 67 inches, 172 pounds, and 19.4 bmi at age 12... LOLGuys, remember to change the settings. 67 cm and 19.4 kg is very, very different compared to inches and pounds.App does it's job well, but it's also free.A complete (not) waste of my time :P
