I can't believe this software is free. I bought a pillow once that plays only 1/10 of the sounds on here and it cost me about $100-150. This is perfect! You can custom your own playlist for whatever you need to do. I made one for when I want to read with some raining and thunder and it definitely helps to block out all the outside noise that's going on. Also great for relaxing. I think this is perfect for homework use or just when you want to be alone with your thoughts. GREAT!!!!!!

Thank you so much to the developer for sharing such an awesome app with everyone. I have gone through my fair share of these things and found this to be the best. There are so many options but they are actually easy to navigate through and even the sounds of my "mistakes" are soothing. I don't know why you made it free as you could have easily made it a paid app but I am not complaining. You are very generous and have done awesome work. This has been the only app that inspired me to write a review. BRAVO! I hope to find more of your work in the near future!

Much better than other paid ambiane apps. Must get!Update:Now that I've been using it for a while, I just love it more and more! Unlike many other apps that bore you after 2o minutes of having them.About some people's complain of the annoying owl in "into the west", you know that you can edit it. Take out the particle that you don't like, add in more... That's what's cool about this application--it's all editable!

This is the most versatile ambient noise app by far! Create as many different combinations as you want. Great quality sound samples! I have purchased "asleep" and "ambiance" and now replaced both memory hogs (140+ mb each) with this superior app that uses less than 20 mb. If you are looking for an ambient noise app, look no further, and it would be a bargain for twice the price of "ambiance" and "asleep" combined. Get this app now!!

I really love this app - it's so calming and I love the fact you can setup a time. I wish apple would sell a bedroom set that would dim your lights as you fell asleep to the music and that the music would gradually fade out. I have trouble sleeping - so I like apps like this.
It's nice also just to be able to turn on background music randomly whenever you just need to meditate or unwind.

Heck the care your boss and feel "Nua.." in office with this App

The latest update has more sounds and ambient noises. I like the fact that one can customize mix and match your own sounds, ambient noise, background music, save it, name it, and add descriptions!! There is even a timer that fades the volume upon expiration. I always listen to it when I am in office.. it makes me oblivious to my colleagues and most importantly, my boss!! It re-energizes me each time every time. Hope the maker can change the design of the icon to something less complicated. It is definitely a MUST HAVE for my iphone..

Good: I got it free and it's the best free one I've encountered. The level of customization for sound combinations is large and the ability to pick and choose the ones you want is a great idea.
Bad: I can't really say anything is wrong with it. The only thing I could see being improved is maybe adding more sound choices.
This is a great relaxation app and is highly recommended, especially while it's free.

Thank you for offering this app for free! It is off to a great start. I was actually falling asleep to it so it is very relaxing and the consistant constant sound is beautiful and peacful make it very enjoyable. I say a must have! Please add more sound choices ;) and turn down some of the sounds so they are consistant to maintain the tranqulity of the moment. Some sounds in the background are to loud like owl hooting and so on.

This application has it all, and for free! Very good quality sounds, very realistic. The best bit is that you can make your own. Select 'Add' and you can choose a background sound (i.e. Rain) and the add up to 3 Ambient sounds, such as Crickets, Thunder or Cat Purring. You can loop the sounds, or extend the time interval when they repeat, up to 20 seconds, and also set your own volume on each of the tracks. Name it and you have your own ambient mix. The permutations are endless, so get it now before they start, rightfully, charging for it. Well done guys!

I was reading "I Am David" by Anne Holm for English, and I couldn't read it at all because the book didn't appeal to me in any way. So a few days later I was looking for some free apps I could get, and I came across "easy relax" (when it was free) and I made my own relaxation music and I found that I could read the book now because soothing music was playing next to me. Thanks guys for making this comforting app. =D

luv this app....ive got a bit of a sleeping problem but i got this app n it put me out within 10-20mins.....it does what it is suposed 2 do and looking forward to more sounds n more features......btw i know its a bit werid but in future updates can you add the sound of cars driving past but not at a rapid rate just a few swish sounds of cars because i use to live on a main road n i hated it at first but i got use to it n i love it but i moved so if it could b added!!!!!!!.....GREAT APP

Instead of making this free they need to make a free version once u try it ur hooked. I woulda paid 5$ for it, I bought another app similar that sucked, I was very disappointed, glad I got this one.>>>suggested update: needs to have the background still Playing when u go in to customize the sounds. I don't know what result I get until I choose it and exit the setup screen and push play, it's a guessing game there. >>>it does crash alot but totally not a big prob. Takes 1sec to open again. Hope it gets fixed soon though. Gnite I'm headed off to a creek campfire with birds and crickets tonight.

I CLOSE MY EYES AND I AM IN HEAVEN!!!

This app is awesome!!!
I found this app during the most stressful time of the year (end of semester uni exams).
The soothing sounds kept me relaxed and more focused on my work. I saw my productivity increase. And whenever I needed to take a 5 minute break from my studies to escape them. The soothing sounds would carry me off to a better place.
Big thumbs up.
At least download and try it!!!!! You will not be disappointed.

I downloaded this app because the rating was high and it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. I fell asleep last night to a relaxing mix I made myself. A little bug that needs fixing is an occasional crash when editing the sound mixes, but not a big deal. Definitely worth it if you love the sounds of nature as background noise to relax, read, or fall asleep to, like an oasis no matter where you are. This is one of my favourite apps :)

this is the best app I have used so far (incl those I paid 50 dollars for). it is easy to use and great to have on while studying so there is non- distracting peaceful noise, unlike music or tv! It is easy to modify your own sounds with the ability to add in background noises to the base tracks. bit more variety and it would be perfect! the timing option even helps to keep on track or could be used for when u fall asleep.

Great stuff !!! I love the way you can make your own sounds!

Great App - Thanks for writing it...
I initially posted on this saying that the only downfall was some of the sounds included some annoying sounds (like owls etc).
But of course that was just me now knowing that you can create your own ambient sounds (should read things better eh?)

App helped me fall asleep in under 20min. "White Noise" took 2 hours. Nothing at all takes me ~3hrs!! Definately going pro! Thanks! UPDATE 14/11/08:@Boy.with.book I Am David is a great book! Old, sad but so true. I found it a gripping read! Obviously we have very different tastes in books... Oh well... @Developer I DO NOT like the fact that the basic version is now $1.19 AUD (99c). NOT AT ALL. I think $3.99 AUD ($2.99) is a great price for pro, but this should be free. Maybe dumb it down a little more, and add ads for the pro version. Thanks.

This app is absolutely amazing. Nice work you guys. One suggestion: I would like see more in the melodies area. The 2 flutes are amazing! I would like to have a few more. Thanks - Great Job!====+++++====Update: Just completed the new update. Night demons sound is just FANTASTIC! I would love see similar sounds in the future. These sounds, their clarity, and the ability to mix them, is something that gives you guys an edge over others. Also, I would like the ability use this on my external speakers. My wish list: I would like the ability to mix more than 3 sounds at one time and if you guys could add tranquile backgrounds - that would be just awesome! Keep up the good work!====+++++====Update2: I should say once again, I really like this app. However, I did not appreciate the fact that the makers first pitched this app as the one they were going to charged for and they still say it's temporarily free. But then they go ahead and create another app (this same one with more sounds and customizations) and call it "The Ultimate" and charge that one. It's just that I felt as I was among the first ones to get this app, I got lucky and got it for free. But, I feel cheated as the one I downloaded was still free and they started charging another one. They should have been clear about how they market their product. I'll stop complaining now. Oh! By the way I would really like more melodies.

I got this app thinking that I would use it when unable to sleep or reading, but I soon found out how much more helpful it would be! This works in not only trying to sleep and reading, but also has prooved helpful when doing homework! It helps relax my mind of all the days antics when I try and settle down to do my homework. Now I'm able to do everything without taking pointless breaks.
In other words. This App made homework MUCH more bearable for me. Very helpful. 5 stars!

My most used application! This is a great program that allows me to be anywhere I want! I mainly use this while I study because I can concentrate better by a peaceful bubbling brook with the sound or birds in the air than in a painfully quiet room. Sometimes I prefer a rainforest, the seaside, or a crackling fire. Later, if I want to fall asleep to the rain but not leave my iPod playing all night, I just set the timer for the number of hours and/or minutes I want the sounds to last. It is easy to create a variety of awesome soundscapes! Although the ones that came included as of 1.0 were a little disappointing, the ones I was able to customize are great! There are some things I would like to see in future updates: 1. When creating custom tracks, I would like a longer possible (or even random/non-repetitive) pause for repeated sound effects. For example, I only want to hear the cow once an hour in my country scheme and I would rather hear the cat purr randomly than mechanically every 20 seconds.2. A smoother transition when the rain loop repeats. The cut is a little obvious right now.3. More possible sounds. Some nice ones would be: softer birds, some less vocal frogs, a dog barking, a rooster crowing, more travel noises such as riding in a train over tracks; hoof beats and so on.4. Bug fixes. The program often closes on its self when I ask it to do something. Also, when I try to move entries around in the menu sometimes empty white spaces appear and they will not go away. Finally, sometimes I cannot scroll down to the bottom entry.It might be nice too, if one could display pictures while the soundscapes were playing. Great work as is though! I'll continue using this application all the time! Thank you!
