There are those that see an app that appeals to them, so they buy it. They might like it, but more often than not, there is probably a better app that they didn't know about and didn't take the time to find. Then there are those that are the exact opposite. They know what they are looking for and compare every app they can find, looking at features vs. price vs. support vs. reviews vs. graphical user interface, etc. Unfortunately for me (because I have many other things to get done), I fall into the latter category. After my own extensive research, I picked iPregnancy. Instead of writing a lengthy review of all the features, I would rather point you to the developer's web site for a very informative video of this app in action. Is this app perfect? Of course not. But in my opinion, it has the best balance of easy of use, information, features, gui, and support. I had a support question, so I emaild Dr. Moore late one night. He responded the very next morning. That is what I call excellent customer support. I can tell from his response that he plans on improving this app to make it the best in this category, not that he has very far to go.

I am so excited about this software! I can't believe how well it captures some of the most critical and exciting parts of pregnancy. Some of the other reviewers mention the naming function, which is just excellent. But also having the pictures of the way the baby looks at each week is just great--I can show them to my kids and co-workers. I love being able to wake up each day and knowing exactly how far along I am and being able to read the narrative of how the baby is developing. This is really exciting stuff and worth WAY more than $2.99. Thanks, Dr. Moore!

As a first time father-to-be, and an iPhone developer, I was excited to buy this app. It is very well designed, and provides tons of great information. The help system can be very useful, but an option to disable the first time it is presented at application launch would be useful. Nonetheless, I look forward to always knowing where my child is in his/her (don't know the sex yet ;) ) development. Great job! If you are looking for a differentiator in this app and the others, the name picker/organizer is a great feature.

Application is perfect... Instead of going to the doctor or constantly googling trying to figure out what is going on in there.... This app shows u! Shows the entire pregnancy from day one. From the cells forming, to the sex of the baby and even the estimated size. It tells u when the brain is forming which is important. The kicking and etc.. I truly love this app. Especially because it shows when my baby is considered full term, what is the success rate if it was born premature and of course the doctor appts!!! I truly luv this app... If u r havin a baby this will only heighten the experience... There is nothing better or anything that can top this... Yah!!!!!

The graph that's shows how much of the pregnancy you've completed isn't correct 99% of the time. Just know that when you are 95% thru or 38 weeks you should be almost thru the third trimester not stuck in your first. Lol! Get that fixed guys. We mommy's know we aren't in our first trimester any longer! Congrats to all of the families growing out there and enjoy the app, it's fun to see how big they get each week and read all of the new info. I look forward to it!

This is a terrific tool and a huge help! Being able to quickly jot down questions for my next OB visit, having key info and pics at my fingertips, and being able to keep track of everything-including my weight- is incredible. And on top of that I can email details about my visits to family and my journal to my husband! This is my first pregnancy and I'm so thrilled I found this early on!!!! Get it--it is well worth the price!

As an RN and a brand-new first time mom, I wanted something informative and easy to use to provide quick info and complement all the books I was reading. This app was great! I do wish it would have been updated sooner... The weight tracker, drawings, Mommy info, notes, etc was all new the day after I delivered. However, my fiancé and I both purchased this app and found it to be a wonderful tool to track our little one from week to week. If you are expecting, this app is a must-have!

I'm four months pg and I love this app. I like the concise weekly information and pictures. When my friends and family ask about the baby I show them this app because it's educational to people unfamiliar with the baby process. (how big is it? What does it look like? What can it do now? What does 17 weeks mean in months or days? Etc. Etc.) I like the appointment reminders. The name picker is ok and generic, it's just the top 1000 common names. I love it when Fridays come around because it's a new week for me. I recommend this to any expectant mom (or dad!)

A great application to use for information and to see what is going on for the week with the baby. The app has useful information about what developments are being made by the growing baby. The 3D pictures are also a great feature since it allows you to see the details of baby for each week. You can also schedule reminders for your doctors appointments as well.
The only things I would like to see changed is the slide bar for the week picker is a little touchy and the appointment reminder kept saying the doctor's appointment was missed.
I lot of people complain about version 3 not being released yet. First off, being a person that works in IT and does a little programming on the side I can understand that getting a new version of an application can take longer than expected. Throw in the fact that this app has been created by a practicing OBGYN it is understandable that it is taking longer than normal to get the next version out. While it would be nice if was out now, the current version is not as bad as some make it seem.

Really great app. I purchased a while ago when my wife got pregnant, and now the long awaited update came through. Definetly worth the wait and money. Love the appointment notes section, love the weight tracker, and also the pics (you can now see a schematic drawing plus the 3D image). The minor bugs have been fixed, all and all, best pregnancy app available.FYI: It doesn't replace books, the OB appointments, or the internet... Instead it's a complement to them all. But to have all this information in one place on your iPhone/iTouch... Simply awesome!

I got the "what to expect" program because it was free, but it turned out to be lame "I bet you feel like a soccer mom with all the kicks your feeling" barf. I should have gotten this from the start. I really like the upgrade, and the new and different info for baby and mom. There are so many features. I also appreciate the creator of the program is an actual OB. I would recommed this to any expectant mom or dad.

Best app out there!

I just love this app! I typically try to stay away from appsthat I have to pay for, but this was the best $3.99 spent! The update is phenomenal! I love that I can now track all of my appt info... Even better yet, a section for me to jot down questions for the doctor (if the questions are not in one central place I may forget where I put them!)Dr. Moore quickly emailed me back when I emailed him. Thank you for bring intune enough with patients to know what they want/need!Paula

As an RN, I have high standards for any app dealing with medical issues. I am MORE than impressed with this one, especially since the new version has come out!I have used this app since I found out I was pregnant. It is very easy to use & extremely comprehensive. I'm very excited as each week changes to follow the update on my little one! I especially liked that once we learned the baby's sex, we could customize the app with both gender & a name we had chosen.I firmly believe you won't find another app with as much information & detail or one that is as simple to use as this o ne!Worth every penny!!!

This is by far the best pregnancy app out there. I love that you can put in week by week photos and journal entries now! (If you're having trouble taking pics just open up a new journal entry and tap on the stock photo...then tap again and you can use a pic, camera, etc.) The weight tracker is also a plus! This program surpasses others by FAR. Highly recommended. I'm an L&D nurse and this is definitely a great app for information and personal tracking.

Just finished using this app after the recent birth of my little baby boy and I can't recommend it enough. I'm rubbish at remembering stuff and it drives the mrs mad so this app was excellent and help me remember all the important stuff and gave me an insight into what was happening inside of her. Also loved the name picker even if it is a little amarican biased, come to think of it the whole app is but it's all still relavant. Mrs havin a kid.......score some browny points and get this app!!!

..... it's that simple. I just love this app. The information they give you every week was much better than the book I bought which cost me £15. The pictures of what your baby looks like at the stage your at are amazing. I found it's really helped with keeping on to of my doctors appointments as it reminds you everytime you open the app. I love just really love! Can't wait to see how much my baby has developed next week hehe x

I use this app daily. Love the info & pictures... And the name list & finder. Easy to use... & the developer seems really good about updates. I recommend adding a kick counter & contraction tracker to keep up with the competition & make it the all in one pregnancy go-to app. I think some reviewers are confusing this multifunction app with the ipreg app, which is completely different. Also, one reviewer said it was "weight centered" but you don't need to use that part of the app & can still track your other vitals in the journal section.

I highly recommend ipregnancy. So far it has been a reliable source of joy and fun for myself and my "expecting" wife.Very informative and the name selecting function with the current 1000 boys and girls names is worth the money alone.A truly innovative way to get an up to date snapshot of what stage your baby is up to with well written blurbs about what is going on in that mysterious womb. A must have for all iPhone welding parents-to-be.
