Go Army!!! By: PokerPissed - Jun 28, 2009 Version: 1.2 I love this app! I'm in the Army and sometimes we run out of things to do during the physical training days that we don't run. This is a really great mix of moves that work every major muscle group...it even has some yoga thrown in! I also love the dynamic stretching verses the static stretching we all were taught in gym and I was taught in basic training. I set up stations and rotate my soldiers through each move at the blow of the whistle and make them jog in place in between. Even the guys complain aferwards....I don't tell them it's a "womens" workout. Keep up the good work and keep adding new excercises. This Army Chick digs it:)
Great app By: Loving my Iphone... My Romeo - Mar 13, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 I love this app!!! The fact that you can see your friends points is like a personal trainer :-) it pushes you to do better :-) For those that keep complaining that you can't change the program... You can't change it online either, a program is a program and you are locked in until you're done with it, once you're done then you can try a new program, and if you want to do something different, why dont you do it on your rest days? It won't kill ya you know!!
Totally awesome! By: London Eliza - 17-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0.2 First of all- the only ones complaining about this app are men...considering it's called Nike WOMAN you all need to go and find somewhere else to complain...the exercises can easily be adapted to suit you!
On a good note...this is the best app I've downloaded! EVER!! Totally easy to keep up with and you can get all your girls to join so you can all get fit together! After a week and a half I already feel fitter...still can't believe it's free- would totally pay for it! But I'm a student so guess it's best that it is ;)
OMG! By: diehardyankeesfan - Feb 4, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Omg the guys writing reviews on this saying this is sexist need to STFU! Have you guys not seen the apps of women in bikinis, apps that make certain parts of women "wobble"? How can you say this is sexist when those apps are shady and degrading! My God. This app is a good app, and is it such a problem for women to have one thing devoted to them or does everything have to be about men all the time? Geez.
Anyway, good app. Love the icon, love the personalization factor. It should have better reviews and it would if it weren't for the stupid men of the world. I don't go around reviewing apps of women in bikinis being seductive that have no interest to me so they have nothing to complain about.
NIKE #1 By: xHALFRICANx - Jan 17, 2009 Version: 1.0 Need I say more...!? When was the last time Nike came out with a suspect product? Great videos and interesting workouts designed for woman.
Dear Nike,
Please keep taking your revolutionizing steps toward the iPhone App industry! You will make a killing!!
Suggestion:
Apps that include but not limited to; speed, agility & power training that would be designed for a specific sport! Can you say... SHOW ME THE MONEY$$$!!
Love y'all!!
From coach & athlete
Almost perfect By: yowster - Sep 2, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 I have a few things I'd like to have improved upon.
***The avatar kid should be more customizable, wii fit style. Weight height... Things like that. It should change with you.
***You should be given a rough estimate on calories burned during the workout once you are finished.
*** inviting friends is a great option but there should be kind of a local scoreboard where you have the option to go against other people in tour weight class, playing against them. So far I'm in first place! Yay, I'm not playing against anyone...
*** the off days should have little optional fitness tips or encouraging stories instead of just being nothing.
That's all I can think of. The functionality is great. It's just a little boring. More fun stuff = 5 stars.
Good start By: pooks088 - Jul 14, 2009 Version: 1.2 I like the idea of this app but I agree with a lot of the other reviews. I wish I wasn't limited choosing core, strength or cardio. Some days I like to change it up.
Since the videos are really short, I also wish it would automatically turn into a timer for your routine. It would also be nice to have further information on form, not necessarily on the video but at least some readable resources about doing each movement correctly.
Overall I like it and think it's really cute. Hoping for more updates soon!
gotta love it By: africanstardust - Jun 8, 2009 Version: 1.2 I love using this app. It has instruction videos and a countdown, so you don't have to watch the video every time you exercise. I see others have had problems with crashing, but I haven't had any issues at all. If the videos freeze, it may be because of an issue with your internet connection. The only reason why I gave it a 4-star rating is that it would be nice if you cold have more than one program at a time...I personally don't just do one workout for four weeks. Thanks for another great iPod workout, Nike=D
Like it a lot By: Rosiedancer - Feb 17, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Update: I see a lot of people struggling with certain features. First, your login is the email address you signed up with. Second, any issues should be resolved by going to the website itself and updating info. Finally, I have new criticisms- add a timer and a way to just find people that you don't necessarily know to add to your team. I can't get my friends to join!
First of all guys, we get it, they need to make one for guys. Stop leaving one star reviews because of it. Anyways, great app. Like that it gives you different workouts every day with video on how to do each exercise. But, it takes it a while to figure out that I've tapped the video. Also crashed on me once. Fix these and five stars!
Great app! By: Marshaltom - Feb 10, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I like it 2 problems I can't sign up the email never got through and why not for iPod touch. Oh and to all those people who say why not for men most of you know there are apps only for men I've seen them before I don't see women saying I can't do this app!!! Well I can tell ya why because they don't even wanna do those apps there all about them pictures and that stuff. The next time you say something about how the don't have it for men just think of how we don't complain because we never wanted the app!
Great job

Excellent By: Jeni Wren - 07-Aug-2009 Version: 1.2 This app is really good, I really enjoy using it, it's in an easy format and the exercises are fun and fulfilling.
For those who say it's sexist: don't be ridiculous, the demographic is women, get over it.
You do have to go on the Internet to create an account but you have to do this for the facebook/myspace/eBay apps...except you already have an account. It's hardly an astringent task, buck up.
Overall EXCELLENT!!
PS. A stop watch facility to time the exercises would be useful :)
Training Programs By: pthief - Feb 7, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 How do you switch from one to another?
Guys, just use the program! You can make your Mii look masculine. I agree Nike should make a non gender app but that doesn't make it a one star app. Have a good workout :)
Update:
It clearly states in the description that this is from nikewomen.com so I don't understand the outrage. If you're a groom you don't download an app for brides and then complain that it's not designed for you. I could understand if the app was from Nike instead of NikeWomen and you'd paid for it. Contact Nike and let them know your interest in having a similar app for men.
Ha ha! By: BARGATRON - 26-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.2 This is brilliant, everyone complaining about this app is either A) a man moaning that it's just for women, (the clue was in the title) or B) women who can't quite figure out how to login to a website... reading the reviews was enough of a laugh for me to award it 5 stars. I think Nike shot themselves in the foot tho, they should have know making an app women would be able to use would be a bit of a hard task...maybe if it had a vibrate function...
Great program! By: KerriLea73 - Feb 5, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 A fitness app with a really vibrant, wii-ish look, fun avatars and smooth running clips. Points and competing with friends are great motivators. It's very nice that it's geared toward women because most of the fitness apps are not.
The description should clearly state that the app is for women .I understand how the men who downloaded this app without closely reading the descrition would miss that it's not for them and feel dissapointed-- but I am a bit surprised by the outrage. I don't see men (or women) commenting in their reviews for the many fitness apps geared for men that they find them sexist.
All in all-- a great little app that would have a much better rating if all the angry boys were not stomping their feet because they were not invited to the girl's party.
A good BETA app By: ajdonald - Jan 22, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Nike is off to a good start with this app. The workout videos are professionally done. And, the app allows you to train with friends by using a leaderboard and giving you points for completing each exercise. For those of you who already use Nike+, even if you use your Nike+ login, you still need to recreate your "MINI". Since it is a beta app, I noticed my point total and the leaderboard don't match. I've earned 70 pts for my workout, and the leaderboard shows 60 pts. Also, if you don't have an internet connection, you can't view the videos. In future versions, I hope Nike will allow the videos to be downloaded to the ipod touch so that you can workout anywhere without a wireless connection. Also, once you choose the type of workout "CORE", "STRENGTH", or "CARDIO", you can't change it. Nor can you preview the workouts in each category before choosing CORE, STRENGTH, or CARDIO. You also can't choose more than one. For example, if you want to do the CORE and CARDIO activities, you are out of luck. Nike, please consider allowing us to do more than one type of workout or to change it.
Good!! By: Heartcallah - 22-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.2 Very good, could go at my own pace and knee injury didn't bother me, very joint friendly exercises. Could use a timer and canada option. Also, it woud be great if you could work between programs- i.e a combo of cardio and strength etc. I forsee it getting kind of monotonous doing the same workout 3x week for a month. I'd love to be able to mix it up- not to mention the webpage keep crashing when i try to change programs. This should be do-able thru the app!
I like it! By: Me_Apple - 14-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.1 I've downloaded the app to my iTouch, but have really only been using the Core exercise programs on the website via my Mac laptop to date. Until I get used to the program exercises, I'll likely use my laptop before the iTouch just because the screen is larger & it gives me opportunity to see the movements better. I do like that when I travel I will be able to carry the program with me unnoticeably by using the iTouch and the core program is something you can do in a hotel room. I feel fortunate to have come across this program and the exercise programs. Good instructors etc. One suggestion for the developers is to include a stopwatch/timer option since the video demonstrate a set of exercises then leaves the client to time themselves for eg. 2 minutes to do the repeated exercises. Currently I use the stopwatch program on my iTouch, but it would be nice to all be on one screen, maybe even start automatically at the end of the video feed. Also on the website, a "Done" button instead of just "Back to Program" would save a few clicks when you're mid-sweating ;) I love the concept, virtually no carbon footprint with quality exercises. Thanks Nike !
It Works Again! Yay! By: AutumnWynds - Oct 7, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 Yay! It's working again. I love this app, and have seen great results with it. The app wasn't working for a week or so, but it's back. The exercises don't require a lot of equipment (medicine ball & hand weights only), and they're fairly intense.
Luvvv it!! By: I'm2Emo4U - Aug 19, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 Hey guys I'm xXRazzleDazzleXx!! This thing is awesome!! I completley luvvvvvv it
A Great App By: Prettygrl99 - Aug 7, 2009 Version: 1.2 Today I have just completed my new workout schedule. I feel a lot more confident and energetic than when I watch TV. This program took forever to set up but I am glad that I did.
