Description:
Would you remember what to do if your father suddenly had a cardiac arrest or if your child chokes on a piece of meat? Phone Aid® contains five real-time slideshows with clear, intuitive pictures and voice instructions that guide you through CPR and how to help a choking person when it really happens! Phone Aid® helps you remember what to do, in what order, and at what pace, all according to current American and European guidelines for lay rescuers. Just flick the instructions with your finger to repeat the previous or hurry to the next measure. You will also get an A-Z First Aid guide where you will find simple, straight forward advice on how to initially handle the most common injuries and illnesses such as, drowning, convulsions, burn injury, snake bite etc. All occasions when you do not want to wait for help before starting first aid measures. Features: - 5 real-time slideshows with clear pictures and voice instructions. - Covers CPR for infants, children and adults. - Covers handling choking infants, children and adults. - Covers both the American and the European versions of the recommendations for first aid. - 27 A-Z First Aid guides covering the most common and urgent situations. - Includes a button for direct dialing of your local emergency number. Phone Aid® is not a substitute for a first aid CPR course, nor does it replace the need for calling medical services, but rather serves as a help starting first aid measures while waiting for them. The first aid material in Phone Aid® is produced by Pontus Johansson, MD. He has taught CPR to laymen and hospital staff for many years, both nationally and internationally. Phone Aid® follows the American Heart Association guidelines and the European Resuscitation Council guidelines for lay rescuers. Please note that first aid guidelines can be slightly different in other countries and for professional rescuers. If you have questions about the guides presented in Phone Aid® please e-mail us at info@entanke.se.

Great Info By: Lizag - Nov 4, 2008 Version: 1.0 Just finished taking a CPR class and this program was right on dot....the only difference was on the choking for adults....our instructor told us after the you do the abdominal thrust, you then bend him/her over at the waist and give back blows...and then abdominal thrust ....and then back blows....and so on and so on until the object is disloged. Other then that it is a great app to have! Good Job!!!

Excellent By: sheepiedog - Oct 25, 2008 Version: 1.0 What a wonderful bit of information to have on hand. Even with having had first aid and CPR classes, an emergency can come up and during a stressful moment, it can be hard to remember exactly what to do. Thank You so much, you probably will be saving many lives by developing this APP for everyone to have. I like how it talks you through CPR, including the proper counting. It will give me more confidence if I should ever need to use it. EXCELLENT!
Excellent Tool By: claidheamdanns - Oct 24, 2008 Version: 1.0 This is a very excellent tool for reminding you of all the things you learned when you took CPR or Community First Aid & Safety classes. I highly recommend it.
The application walks you through basic life saving procedures with both illustrations and verbal commands, and even counts out the rescue breaths and chest compressions in real time.
I've always worried that I would forget how many or how fast if faced with a real emergency -- not anymore!
Big kudos to the developers of this app!
Saved my mom's life! By: Em & Jay - Oct 20, 2008 Version: 1.0 My mom was eating steak with my dad and me when all of a sudden she started choking. The first thing I thought was "omg! Let me get my iPhone 3G!!" So I checked my iPhone and was alarmed by the odd icon, that had a grown woman making out with a young man, on the dock. I clicked it ASAP and it told me what to do. It sucked to make out with my mom but I saved her life thanks to this app. Thank you developer! You saved my mom's life.
Could be a life saver! By: Captain34 - Oct 20, 2008 Version: 1.0 Wonderfully thought out App! Thank You! As a policeman, I know under pressure its easy to forget "what to do?" Thanks to this App, you have a mini guide or you can remind yourself anytime you have a free moment. CPR slide show is an A+! Suggestion: add the option or button that will allow CPR and other videos to repeat life saving cycles or count. So the rescuer dose not lose count. Glad it's free but worth a small fee.
CPR Missing Check Pulse. BAD! By: skipatrolguy - Oct 27, 2008 Version: 2.0 This is a great idea and you should pursue it. However, you MUST check for a pulse BEFORE doing chest compressions. The application excludes this step in all 3 categories, which could lead to significant harm to a patient. This is emphasized in the 4 different professional rescuer CPR programs I have certified in over the last 10 years. Also, my recent first aid teaches 3 simple checks for a possible stroke: ask to smile, speak a sentence, and hold both arms horizontal. Perhaps consider adding this, as it is another "get the word out" way for untrained people to recognize a stroke.

A definate must have for everyone! By: Digikid2007 - 24-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0 I agree with Karl completely. This is a must have app for everyone. Granted in an emergency you do not have time to whip out your iTouch or iPhone nut this app will teach you.
WOW By: Karl L.B - 24-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0 This probably THE ABSOLUTE best app for the iPhone/itouch just because of the fact it will most likely save a persons life one day. This app basically teaches a person a 2-4 week first aid course in a matter of seconds. Anyone who rates this app with less than five stars is a fool!
Great app to have just in case By: phresh_5 - 24-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0 Even if you only need to use this app once to save someones life or help someone who's injured, then it makes the iphone worth it's weight in gold.
