Awesome!  By: Rkmannan - Sep 22, 2009 Version: 3.2 Hands down the best weight loss tool I've ever encountered! Love the UI, so easy, and visually pleasing. The tools are all there. Excellent app. I love being able to see the calorie bar and access full nutritional info for the day right on the home page. Nutrition graphs and tables are perfect. Food data base needs serious expansion and I would love to see more categories to store my favorites (like dairy, condiments, grains, etc.) my "my meals" section ends up hosting a lot of individual items that have no other logical category. Also, would be great to be able to access full nutritional info on an item when you are adding it. I love it, I am recomending it to everyone!

It has made losing weight easy for me and keeps me motivated! If you are serious about giving calorie counting a go then you should definitely buy it. I would recommend it to anyone! EXCELLENT AP  By: wannabe120 - Sep 24, 2009 Version: 3.2 I have used Calorie King on my Palm for until I got the iPhone. I have tried the other aps and been greatly disappointed. :-( That is, until I found this ap. :-) I LOVE this ap! A previous review mentioned changing the time of day defaults to the time of day. When entering the food look in the lower left hand corner. There is a drop down list to change the meal time. I have seen alot of complaints about the data base. Get over it! You only paid $2.99. They are working on the data base. You can always use the Calorie King website for access to their database.I would give this ap 10 stars if it was possible!!!!!
Perfect for the people who are health consious  By: Dajiu - Aug 20, 2009 Version: 3.1 Day 3 Review : Ok, I have been trying to use this application for everything that goes into my mouth. I wanted to give the application a fair chance and understand everything that is going on and how it works. This is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time, keep track of everything I eat so that I can tell where I need to adjust my diet. The layout and setup of the application is really well thought out and easy to navigate! It makes it very easy to insert items, to keep track of what you've added / eaten / exercises. I can go back to any day and see what I've eaten. I really enjoy using it, especially since I'm a creature of habit and eat the same things all the time, so I use "Previous Items" a lot! There are a few minor bugs such as the times added for foods in the logs will occasionally have the previous foods time. But this doesn't interrupt the usability of the application and it does look like the data may be right and this is just a display bug. There are a few little things that could be improved. First is the database of foods is a little jumbled and a pain in the butt to navigate a bit. Pick something, say Apple. You'll find hundreds of entries listed like "Apple, raw, with skin -- 1 cup", "Apple, raw, with skin -- 1 cup chopped", etc.. Where all I really want is "Apple, raw, Red Delicious", "Apple, raw, Granny Smith", and "Apple, raw, Macintosh". So finding what to enter takes time and thus takes away from the experience with the application. Please clean up the database search. The next thing I would do is to not only allow people to enter their own foods, but also allow them to be published to a global database that others can access to find what they want. There are several restaurants listed, I haven't used it yet, but it would be nice to have people add new restaurants as time goes by that others and download. Would be nice and maybe be a good offset to the first issue. Other then those two annoyances, everything else is VERY good. I would give it 4/5 or even 5/5. Really nicely done.

I have tried several others, and some of the other weight management/tracking apps are indeed very good. However, what sets this one apart from all the others is two things: (1) sheer volume of information, and (2) accuracy. On the first, this app includes a *huge* database of nutritional information on thousands and thousands of foods, including over 400 restaurant chains. This allows you to quickly and easily determine the calorie and nutritional content of the foods you eat. It also contains a thorough exercise database. Did you swim this afternoon for 30 minutes? This app will tell you how many calories you burned. Did you walk for 45 minutes? At what pace? Normal strolling, or briskly? Either way, this app will tell you how many calories you burned. Then, you can also monitor your weight loss, and the app shows you a graph of your weight loss over time. As to the second manner this app is different -- accuracy -- this is something that simply cannot be overlooked. If you enter your current weight, height, age and goal weight, this app will tell you how many calories you should consume per day in order to reach that goal weight. Most importantly, that number will be accurate!! Several of the other weight management apps I looked at gave vastly different numbers, some as far off as 300 calories. That's huge if you're serious about losing weight. I was confused by the huge difference, so I set all the apps aside, and did my own research on the respected medical websites. My own independent research confirmed that Tap & Track had correctly calculated my proposed calorie consumption, and the other apps were off. I have deleted all the other apps, and this one will stay on my iPhone. Great job, Nanobitsoftare! Thank you for an excellent product.

I have been able to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks with it by monitoring calories and increasing my exercise. It is easy to use and lets you see at a glance where you are calorie wise at any time throughout the day. A few ideas for future updates: * I would suggest that you let the Search function also search the custom foods for quicker entry. * Of course I would love to see more restaurants, foods and items added to your list over time as well. * I would love to be able to track the number of glasses of water I drink throughout the day. Thanks for the great app I use it daily and plan to do so for a long time!!!

It is so easy to use and it really keeps you on track. I just started using it on Monday and I've already lost 6 pounds without even trying; just by following the daily calorie count determined for me. Great start!  By: Esorlleh - 3-May-2009 Version: 1.1.6 I've gone through 4 different calorie tracking apps before I finally settled on this one. The design is nice and sleek, with graphing functionalities adding a nice touch. You are able to add your own food items easily, which is a feature I use often because I eat a lot of ethnic food that is hard to database. (LIVESTRONG doesn't have this feature, for example.) The only thing lacking is a large database for easy adds, but I don't really use those databases anyway because they're often wrong. Thanks guys! Please keep this app going!

I don't mind because I just add foods that are missing.This also has nice graphics and colors. In 8 weeks I am touching 180 lbs and am buying new clothes. I ride a bike and teach skiing for exercise. Knowing the calories burned has been a great motivator. I can't wait for ski season as I can buckle my boots w/o coming up for air! I'll never eat 2 Egg McMuffins again. Keep the updates coming. Thanks and God Bless!

Almost every food I eat is in here. If it nit in here, I can at least get close enough . I like rhe graphs too and the waythe app keeps track of how many calories are left. There is a wide variety of exercises to calculate as wel. All in all a very comprehensive tool. Better than pricey online diets-believe me!!!

I love the way you can chose your own plan and enter personal stats about yourself and it automatically figures out how many calories you should be eating to lose how ever many lbs/week your plan had entered. I've been useing this app. for about 2 weeks now and I've lost almost 4 lbs. Of course I'm still learning to stay within my calorie budget but this app. really helps me keep track of EVERYTHING I need to, which helps me stay on track so far. Well good luck everyone! 8)

It's really cool because I'm breastfeeding and needed to be able to add additional calories and this app makes it so easy. They tell you exactly how many calories you need to get to your desired weight based on your height and how quickly you want to drop pounds. Adding foods and exercise is so easy that it makes keeping track a breeze. Love it!!!

As long as you are honest and slowly make the effort to cut calories and make the right food choices you will see results.The profile and the section to add exercise really helps too. The only thing I would like from this app is to see more items in the database. I can't find motzerella to save my life but there is the whole mc donalds and taco bell menu (which you should be avoiding when trying to loose weight). Otherwise, super easy to use and very helpful!

A few months ago, I tried using an app called Lose It but I didn't like it much. The biggest difference I like from this one is adjusting for lifestyle. I listed myself as sedentary due to my desk job during the day and taking classes at night and it makes the necessary adjustment to daily calories. I also like that it gives me my BMI.

By recalculating your caloric allotment based on your daily weight and other factors, this program prevents plateauing. My bmi was almost 30, now 24. If you want a weight loss solution that works, calorie counting is it. When you hit a food or dish that this app doesn't know, just look it up on thedailyplate.comGood luck all!
