I love this app cuz it works like a charm. I don't understand the purple noise and all the rear of those colored noises cuz they're just obnoxious. I love the fireplace and rain ones. I reccomend putting in a furnace sound because that sound is rather relaxing. I hook this up to my sorround sound and stereo in my room and it sounds amazing. Knocks me out within half an hour, no matter wats on my mind. I reccomend it to anyone and everyone.

This was one of the first apps I downloaded when the app store opened. I'm impressed with the frequent updates. Even more impressive is the quality if the sounds. If, like me, you rely on white noise machines to sleep, you know that many are just two second loops of the same noise and the repetition is annoying. Not so with this app. I recently got back from a trip and without White Noise I would not have had such restful sleep. Definately worth the price.

I'm a light sleeper. I cannot sleep well without sound. That is why this app has become so helpful to me. I even discarded my oscillating fan and replaced it with this application.The repetitious sounds of the beach, fan and various noise patterns are great for aiding you on getting to sleep. My personal favorite is the rain storm track. This is a wonderful addition to my iPod touch's app list, and replaces my old ocean cassettes all together. A must buy.Recommendations: For tracks like Light Rain, I'd recommend extending the time of the track a couple minutes before looping.

I used WhiteNoise Lite for a little over a week every single night, and I fell in love with it. My clock radio came with four sounds that I had been using for years, but WhiteNoise Lite was a revelation. After a week of use, I saw no reason whatsoever not to turn over my $1.99. I now have 40 sounds, and, I hope, my money will go toward future versions of this excellent program. There are other 'noise' programs out there, and there ARE others that are good, but this is the best of them all, and I cannot recommend it enough. I'd say just buy this, but if you are at all holding back, at least download the Lite version, and, like me, if you find yourself using it daily, then get this full version. I cannot recommend it enough.

I don't see how I slept before I got this. The realistic sounds make you feel you're right there! In the edit feature, it'd be slot easier with the touch-the-right-side-of-it editing. And, if you could, download new sounds. One sound I would like to be added is a shower sound with the water running, that'd be awesome!!!Tough luck to the people who didn't get it or free. This is defintley worth $.99 though. Great job!

I really like this app. Version 1.0 was pretty good and they made some nice improvements with Version 1.1 in the form of more sounds and a refined UI. The thing I like most is that the tracks don't have an easily recognizeable repeating pattern (like some other white noise generators). These tracks have a more random and natural sound to them. I connect my iPhone to the clock radio in my bedroom to sleep better at night, and it also helps me sleep while flying on an airplane (as a passenger - please do not use this if you are actually flying the plane!).
If you don't like to sleep in dead silence, or need something to drown out unwanted noise, I recommend this app.

Glad I got it while it's free! Great tools for ghost hunters!

You read right, many "ghost hunters" use white, pink and brown noise as a background tool for collecting EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings. This would be an asset to have on the go in their pockets. Have the i(phone or touch) playing the noise while recording with their digital or analog recorders. Plug the ipod into your speaker system and the thunderstorm and rainstorm makes for a nice background theme on Halloween!! Kudos to the developer for adding even more sounds! One thing though, I can barely hear the sprinklers. :)

I love this app,it gets the job done in terms of relaxing you and making you fall asleep in a nice and calming way.The sounds are great but I would love some really cool new ones.I really love the sound of the night maybe mix in crickets and owls and just night things.Also someone mentioned the wind as a sound that would be sweet I love the sound of the wind also.Thanks for the great app,keep up the great work.

I love White Noise... well actually brown noise because it sounds like my fan at home. A great little app. I set the phone down, turn on the program and fall asleep. One suggestion would be for the selections such as fan, air, noises, etc. there be a tone or pitch slider so you could tune it, per se. I fall asleep every night to a box fan and if I don't have that noise, or something close to it, it's hard for me to drift off. The brown noise selection comes very close though thus I am very, very happy.

I had a problem In a cheap condo I moved into, the boiler pipes in the building made this crazy tuning fork noise that kept me up at night. It was so annoying and really affected my sleep and work.I found this app, and it really got me through this, it took them 4 months to fix this pipe noise, and without this app I would of gone nuts And never of slept :)My favorite is brown noise and the airplane setting, really helps me sleep.Just want to give the makers of this app a huge, thank you, it really made my life better!

If you don't know what "white noise" is you don't need this product. I am in the advertising business and my mind is always busy with ideas. I have always needed a distraction to go to sleep. I usually use the radio or a fan on low. This is so cool!
I put it on my night table, set the sound and time length and that's it! This thing rocks! If you need white noise you won't find a better application anywhere!

I got this while it was free, and I'm lucky to do so. I've been normally listening to music when I go to sleep, but my mother always complained about it, so I started looking for an alternative to music, and I found this application! It's been great. I love the beach and the water sounds the best. I've been trying them all out and seeing which ones I like. I also had this application when it only had I think 8 sounds? Or was it 4? I don't know. But this application got better from the update! I'm glad I got this application free! But nevertheless, it's definitely worth .99cents! GET IT! =)-K2chica[FEMALE GAMERS FTW!]P.S. It's interesting to mix these relaxing sounds to the xbox360 sounds of Gears of War, Halo3, CoD4 etc! Haha. =P

Out of the whole app store, this is my favourite app. Why? Because plug in headphones(iPhone speakers won't do) and it provides the mind something to think about subconciously, but of course you don't need to think about ambience do you? The result is falling asleep fast or maybe a restful period in times of stress. Seriously developer, this is the best, and with the latest update comes even more ambience. Get this app, give it's chance, you won't regret it!

This application has done wonders for my sleep. Usualy I get 4 to 5 hours of good deep "REM" sleep, but since I got this app I easaly get 9 to 10 hours of "REM" sleep. Trust me when I tell you that this app will change the way you sleep. The only sound that you could add would be that of a hevy rain and thunder on a tin roof, but other than that I thank the brilant designer and wish you all a good nights sleep!

Since getting this app last week, my wife and I have used this every night. We have a speaker set up for the ipod in the bedroom for music. At night, we put on this app and set it to crickets. The sound is very good. It really feels like we are camping in Algonquin park. Helps us fall asleep like babies. There is a timer function as well to turn it off after a few minutes to several hours. Works a treat. My favorite app by far.

Been using this for weeks now - and can't believe how much better I am sleeping. Glad I was able to get it while it was free, but would DEFINITELY pay for this, considering I use it EVERY day! I dont understand why people criticize the app because it was once free? Read the notes on the app! Over half a million people got this app for free! And the original description said "free for a limited time". I hope the developer does get something back for his hard work. Thanks for giving it away for so long! You deserve it! Again - great app - simple interface - quality sounds.

This app just keeps on getting better and better. Another update just adds more to the value. The new sounds are relaxing and very realistic. My personal fave is the ocean sound, which has surpassed the beach waves. The option of changing pitch and balance give this app a killer edge in the appstore. It helps to direct more sound to the ear I'm not sleeping on. The pitch allows me to slow down and speed up the sounds. This app truly is one of the best I've seen, well worth above it's price of 99 cents.

I would have to say this is a great app, with everything that you need to relax on it (except a lemonade with a lemon on the side with a straw, and a hammock). The coolest thing is that new tracks have been added almost every other week! The two noises that I would love is a couple more forests noises (like a deciduous forest) and maybe some more frog noises. I used to live in Puerto Rico (I am a pilot), and when I would go walking in the parks, there was these awesome frogs that would make cool sounds all night long. Wait, maybe it was in Texas.... I can't remember, but they were cool frogs.
Thanks for the amazing app! 5 stars! Especially if it is only 99 cents!

Ever since I found this app, I have used it to help me fall asleep. The White Noise is fantastic and I love it beyond reason! Amazon is my favorite setting btw :) If this app was available for ipods (click wheel), I would buy it for my kids to fall asleep to as well! The sky is the limit with this app. I love that it turns itself off with the timer as well. While I keep my iphone plugged in at night, I feel like it would interfere with waking up to the alarm if it was on ALL night. Great job on a great healthy app!

One of the best, if not the best, sound machine apps. Unlike many others it closes the app when the timer turns off which saves your battery and prevents the iPhone from getting burning hot. RECOMENDED UPGRADES:I would like to see some sort of sound mixer so that you can select 4 or 5 different sounds to all play at the same time. And if you could select different volumes for each sound that would be amazing. Keep up the great work. This app just gets better and better with every update.
