Your Ideal Weight is an application that estimates your "ideal weight". Ideal weight usually refers to two different types of weight:
- that which people would like to have
- that recommended by doctors, based on the Body Mass Index
The Your Ideal Weight application calculates both, and also calculates your Body Mass Index.
The Body Mass Index, invented by the Belgian scientist, Jacques Quetelet, has been adopted by the World Health Organisation as a reference index for evaluating the risks associated with excess weight in adults.
For calculating the ideal weight, Dr SB Halls' formula is used (Feb 2002).
Your Ideal Weight is an application for entertainment purposes only and should not be used to substitute professional advice.
Neither ideal weight or the Body Mass Index are data which should be used without studying each individual case. (For example, they are not useful for children, body builders, pregnant women…)

I love this little free app ( I don't write reviews unless I have a good opinion) The BMI i can do without, but it's always used by Drs so I understand why weight apps use this-but this isn't a weight app! I like the way they use a survey of other women (or men if u are one) about the weight THEY would like to be if they were your height & age. This is not a traditional weight app. It just does WHAT IT SAYS- what your weight "should" be, according to your info you input & the survey. i feel this app doesnt judge me!! Most weight apps make me feel, that I shouldn't be this weight, & gives u reasons why. This one doesn't! I don't work for the devs but I them-and ladies, men, get this app!
