Amazon mobile is a clean application that is simple to use and feature rich. I really like being able to use this tool while shopping in stores for price comparison. I like the extra feature where you can upload a picture of a product and have Amazon find it from their inventory or one of their resellers. This enables me to take a snap of an item and later on consider its purchase (like a reminder).

So many site-specific iPhone apps seem to provide only the bare bones of features, but this isn't true of the Amazon app by any means. Using this app, I'm able to accomplish nearly everything I would do at my laptop, but it is much faster and more streamlined than loading the main Amazon site in Safari. The other alternative, Amazon's mobile site, offers the same streamlined speed but with only a fraction of the functionality of the iPhone app. The choice is clear: frequent and loyal Amazon customers such as myself are best served by this app. There is no better way to access Amazon from the iPhone--nor will there probably ever be. UPDATE: By price-checking with the Amazon app while recently shopping at a big box electronics store, I saved myself over $50 on an iPhone car accessory. Sure, I could've checked on the Amazon site through Mobile Safari, but the app was so much faster I had time to check three other items in the same amount of time it would have otherwise taken. Awesome.

This is an incredible app. While I used to make do with the Amazon iPhone webpage on their main site, this app is so much more refined and user friendly. Everything is so intuitive. As other users have pointed out, it's missing certain features such as Goldbox deals and wish lists. However, I'm sure that those will be added in a future update. If you're an Amazon shopper, you can't live without this app.

I just downloaded this after going over the site with a fine tooth comb and I can't believe how easy it is to operate, just like the Amazon site. The interface is beautiful, the icon matches perfectly (duh, because it's Amazon, right?) and it doesn't take a long time to download either. Ordering and shipping is a breeze and I will definitely will use it as much as I possibly can. I would give it six stars if I could but five stars for me would have to do. :)

This app saves me an incredible amount of money! I look up items (especially books for class while at the university store) and if they are cheaper than in the store I either order them right then and there or save the item to my wish list. Amazon made this application very easy to use though There are some item with a lot of options that you really do need a computer for and it would be nice if they added a feature that allowed you to send feedback about a seller or browse amazon with out a specific search. Even without these I would highly recommend this application though.

Very tidy, well-designed app. Purpose built for iPhone - not a hacky, throw-together job like I've seen from one or two other major providers. Provides very effective online shopping capability with very comprehensive access to account management features including order tracking etc. Product pictures are clear and easy to see, and product info is well laid out and easy to absorb through the iPhone interface. If you are an iPhone user and shop on Amazon with any regularity at all, this free app should be a must-have.

Your in a mall just browsing when you see this great perfume that your sister/wife/girlfriend has been asking for forever. You check the price and it's 100 bucks!! Man I wish I could get that a bit cheaper or in a smaller size... Enter Amazon app!!! Whip out your phone and Amazon your item. An wouldn't you know it Amazon has the perfume cheaper and in smaller sizes!!! Great app!!! Must have!! Well also worst app ever due to the fact that I use it so much.... Goodbye paycheck I knew you well....

Amazon.com has done an excellent job with this application! It is superfast and very easy to use. Most of the items have multiple picture views and extremely detailed descriptions. The "Wish List" is handy. As you shop you can add items to your wish list and afterwards pictures of the items are shown right on the front page of the app. The "One click" purchase option makes buying stuff way too easy!

As an Amazon Prime subscriber who buys often online, this is my first stop when deciding on a purchase! I have placed several orders on my phone using the one-click function. And I've researched an item I purchased using Amazon's user reviews. I stood in a retail store yesterday and read product reviews on my phone that helped me avoid a bad purchase, find the right one, and check on whether I can get it cheaper online. Can't ask for more from an app that exceeds expectations!

This app is incredibly handy when it comes to price comparisons while you're in a store. The interface is simple, elegant, and allows you to see a lot of what you'd normally see on Amazon's full website in a mobile friendly format (unlike their mobile website, which isn't as feature-filled). Once you start using it, you'll wonder how you've been able to shop and make price comparisons without it!

I love Amazon.com and this application is perfect. I can check my order status and even place new orders with this application. How safe and protected it is? That I do not know, but still.
I really love the remember feature. I have noticed that the picture has to be very good and must not leave out a section of the item. An example would be of my Twilight Movie Companion book that I tried it out on. When I took the picture for the first time, part of the top got cut off which has what the item is. The picture of the book was still there and even the word "Twilight" was there. The result was not found, but when I took the picture again (with everything in the picture), it brought me the item. From there, you also get an email telling you that it was found (in addition to a reminder in the application). If you open the email on your iPhone, one of the links take you directly to the application and then the item description (not just what you took a picture of).
I really like the fact that whatever happens within the application occurs on the actual website.

So far so good - this app is very easy to use and has a lot of the features I was hoping for such as the product searching, account details and such. The 'Remembers' section is all too cool! I took a picture of the mouse on my desk and within an hour or so I got an email from Amazon with a link to the product on their site - very cool! This will be especially handy when I'm in the store and want to compare prices or remember something for later knowing it's probably cheaper on Amazon.

I'm flat out amazed at the convenience of this little application. Having the ability to simply snap a photo of something with the phone and get a link to the product is nothing short of genius! More than once, I've found myself wondering where to get something I see or wanting to remember to look it up later. Now, all I have to do is pull out my phone and take a picture. Even if you don't plan to buy off of Amazon, having the details right there is worth the cost of entry. Everyone should have this little application on their phone.

Withthis app, Even more than their mobile site, I see myself checking prices and ordering from Amazon on the go. Why would pay in-store prices when I could do a quick Amazon search right then and there, either by text or picture, find a better price, and place an order? This solves a problem I've always had with online shopping: it's difficult to browse. Well, now I can browse real, live products and get online prices. More on topic: the app interface is fast and intuitive, with access to the majority of features that I would imagine most people would need on the go.

This app is so much better than using safari, on your iPhone, for Amazon. Before this app I would have just used my computer for Amazon purchases, but this app is so cool & easy to use. I like watching my item to buy, tumble down the screen towards the cart icon & my phone vibrates. The only thing missing, that I've noticed so far, is showing the savings (% off) next to the price (like the website does).

This app is like the gateway to the candy store. I find it one of the best interface examples in the app store and use it every day, not neccessarily to buy products but to learn what is avaialbe and what people think of them. The only thing I wish would be improved is the way the reviews are organized by old dates first. I'd like to be able to set a date range for viewing reviews or choose the number of stars to filter the review by.

I love this application! I'm addicted to searching Amazon and looking for good deals. This app is a great way to look up the price of an item when you are out and about. I even used it to track the price of a camcorder I had in my shopping cart so I was able to see the price drops they did each day. The only feature I would like to see added is the ability to track the orders I've placed. Even if it's just a link that will open the website, it would be nice. Keep up the great work, Amazon!

This is the best user interface for Amazon that I've ever seen. The Amazon.com website is incredibly cluttered, so it can be slow to load pages and find what you're looking for. This app, though, is lightning-fast and all the navigation uses the consistent iPhone drill-down metaphor. You can search, browse customer reviews, order, review or add to your wish-lists, even check the status of existing orders. Wonderful.

This is such a great app. Not only does it do everything it says, the customer service is amazing too. I emailed them (there's a link in the app) to make some suggestions, like access to the shopping list in addition to the cart and wish list, and being able to use a saved photo with the amazon remembers feature (which totally works FYI). I also suggested a more robust 1click, because right now you can only have one credit card per shipping address. In a million years I never expected a personal response from amazon, but within hours (!) I had an email from a real person who responded specifically to my email. She explained they were working on shopping list access, and said she thought saved photo access could be added for the iPhone since the capability already exists for the Touch. I was seriously blown away by this, and needless to say, hugely impressed. I'm also particularly impressed by how much development time and innovation went into this. It's not some slapdash app they threw together. It's stable, it actually does the things you want/expect, and they don't try to charge like some corporate apps that have to be kidding if they think I'm going to pay for the privelege of shopping with them. Or worse, that awful, pathetic, do-nothing Target app. I'm just really glad to see a company take this seriously and provide a really useful and helpful app.

I for one do a lot of shopping on Amazon.com. I have to say, this is one of the best apps I have ever used. The layout is clean, and the search function works well. The way you can track your package, check and edit your account is very easy. I have not used the camera function yet so I can't comment on that, but the rest of the app is superb. I enjoy using this app to make my purchases more then the actual Amazon website. Kudos to the developer of this app!
