This app is awesome. It has a very clean interface and a great layout of the postings. I use it multiple times a day since I’m currently looking for an apartment and a new car. I guess content filtering can be a problem for some, but since I’m not desperate and looking for random hookups through the internet I have no problem. (Also that’s not the app’s fault it is Apple’s, so don’t hate on the app.) This is absolutely worth downloading!

I've used this app for a while. I like the simple interface although I wasn't so crazy about the censorship. I installed the new update a few days ago & the app got even worse: the personal section was disabled. I kept changing the adult setting, but it's still not viewable. However, today somehow the personal section is back & it's even better: no more censorship. I just have to adjust my adult setting & things work well. Good job! UPDATE: I don't like the censorship Apple did to this app. Not gonna change my rating because of that because so far I still like using this app to access other listings on Craigslist. It's jus that removing personals all together isn't great. C'mon, Apple. Are you too afraid of getting sued by people who don't like mature contents on their iPhone? They have a choice to not download them! UPDATE: I have to reduce my rating to 2  stars now because I can't reply to most ads. Hit the reply button, but nothing happens. What's going on here? UPDATE: It work so much better now. Love the fact that I could reply to the posters within the app. Great job! Gave it 5  stars now.

New update makes it perfect mobile craigslist app for me

Only gripe I had when I first downloaded this application was the way you had to run a search to narrow listings down to sub-categories. The developer just released an update that makes browsing far more intuitive though, so it's perfect for me now! Thanks much. Only thing I'd love to see now is the ability to easily flip back and forth between several local home sites. It's not bad now, but it would be nice to be able to set a few favorites that you could simply switch between rather than having to go through the country -> state -> city listing every time.

I'm editing this review to state that after the latest bug fix this app gets 5 out of 5. Sure every app could be better but this is great. And it's free. Big thanks to the developers. (old review) I'm between 4 and 5 stars on this. Probably should have gone 5. This is THE app to have fir your iPhone if you like Craigslist. I especially like the ability to see item pictures when browsing and seeing the price is a necessity (unlike other CL apps on the iPhone). Ways to improve: The touch area on the main menu is a bit small so I am often directed to a comprehensive list of for sale items instead of being sent to the category page. Probably an easy fix. Also when scrolling through items, I'm often directed to the item and then have to go back and wait for all the images to load before I'm back where I was. Could you set it up so that there is a details 'button' instead of making the whole listing an active link. Thanks. You've made a great app. Thank you.

Great to have this app on the iphone

Thanks to the developers for bringing this to the iphone. Its nice to check on ads for various things. Kudos to Apple for keeping the questionable content off of here also. I know some people don't like not having access to immoral content, but if they want it, are they forgetting they can simply use the Safari browser to access that junk on the WWW? Apple has every right to keep immoral content off of their store. Great job. I'm sure this will only get better with time.

The app is fast, slowness is due to AT&T's very spotty and extremely limited 3G mini-snail-spots. On wifi, it flies. Searching is a breeze with an easy and obvious search button. Much easier to use CL than with Safari. I can't wait till the "near you" feature expands to other major cities. A must if you intend to use CL from your iPhone! (And why not, email/call or map directions to the great deal or date or job, wherever you are at)

Great job on making this Application it worked well the third time I tried to upload an image of some Psp games I tride to get rid of , and sure enough it worked. I have a 3gs, and to upload an image you might want to use a free Application to crop the image. dose this make sence to anybody ? Usualy older iPhone models might run a little slower.
I give this app 5 1/2 stars and its free.

For browsing and searching listings, this app works great! It DOES have a search feature, and it works well. It's a little slow, but not too bad. I do like the way it's organized - pretty intuitive. I have not and probably will not use it to post listings, so I can't comment on that. I agree that the peace sign is a little weird, but isn't that Craigslist's symbol? I could do with a less hippie-themed logo, though (like maybe no rainbow colors).

Doesn't deserve the bad reviews!!!

This is a good Craigslist app that is free! I love it. If you read all these bad reviews it's all because of "personal ads". Well I don't really care about finding love on craigslist, I'm here to sell my stuff. If you like selling STUFF, this app is great. I am having problems with the "phone verification" thing, but before that, it worked great. I received an email from them saying they are fixing the problem. Giving it 5 stars to counteract all these ignorant reviewers.

The latest update actually REMOVED the censorship in previous versions of this app. Simply go to "Account" and click on "Adult Content Settings" and you can adjust the settings to all personals categories and more (e.g., showing photos and explicit language). Be sure to save your settings after the adjustment. I have tried almost all the apps for Craiglist and this is the best among all. And it is free!

Must Have for CL Sellers

I have sold 10k+ on CL over the years and the only part I do not like is dealing with photos of items I sell. This app is BETTER than CL. Does everything from site but the iPhone cam integration makes this the winner. This app is free does everything well and so ignore the dopey 1 star reviews. Categories work, geograpaphy works, censors can easily be disabled. Two feature requests: (1) ability to email/fwd an ad from within app; (2) ability to add photo while posting not before.

I just did a quick overview, but I can't find any of the negative things people complained about, with one exception: it doesn't look like listings are broken down by local area (for example, in my region, you have West, East County, North County, and South Bay).
But you can select your region on the start page, and the app is much quicker than navigating around on the web site with Mobile Safari. For a free app, this is very nice, and it's much nicer, easier, and better looking than the web site.

I just want to add here that this application allows ALL adult craigslist items but it is just turned off by default. Hit the account button and select the 'adult content settings' button and turn on or off thosethings you want to see. It's just sad that so many vulgar reviews claim no personals when they are there and with pics if desired. Surely you can see why a free app would have these turned off by default right? Kids right? Sad reviews. Also touching the blue arrow to the right of the main categories takes you to the sub categories page for sale>>free for example BUT you have to touch exacty on the arrow or thewhole line turns blue and takes you to all posts. I'm confident a quick update would fix this. So don't buy into the 1 star reviews IT HAS PERSONALS AND ADULT CONENT BUT YOU HAVE TO WNABLW IT IN THE SETTINGS BE SURE TO EXIT THE APP AND LAUNCH IT AGAIN TO SEE THE NEW CATEGORIES AND ADULT CONENT TO BE AVAILABLE. thanks for a great app. Ed

The review is right, I like using this better than the craigslist web site! Great user interface! I am married and a Christian. I use craigslist to buy things like a laptop or tickets to a show. I can't believe people are so mad that they can't look at the pics for the "personals." One idiot even said he's leaving Mac because of that. You can scream 1st amendment all you want, but if you are really that mad, be honest... it's because you can't see the pics, not because of any 1st amendment concerns. How perverted do you have to be to be so vehement about getting access to prostitutes via an iPhone? I totally support Apple's decission regarding this issue.

Not sure why people are screaming censorship

This app DOES allow access to ALL of Craigslist, including personals, pics, and dirty words. The problem may be that the developer has not made it clear that you need to have set the iPhone's settings (not the apps) to allow adult content.
• Under the PHONE'S "Settings" app, choose GENERAL.
• Then select "Restrictions."
From that screen you can set the phone's adult settings. I have my restrictions "Disabled" and can view all content on CL with this app with no problems whatsoever. Before you post negative reviews for an app, please make sure you know how to use it AND your phone.

Great Program

I've tried all the free and lite craigslist programs and this has the most user friendly interface. I haven't tried the ones you pay for that dont have lite versions. It will return to a 5 star app after an update. Craigslist (the website) change the way you respond to postings and now the respond feature in the app doesn't work correctly. As soon as that issue is fixed it will be back to 5 stars. Great program!!

Almost easier than the web version

I am impressed. There are so many times I have thought "Gee, I should put an ad on Craigslist for -----". But I either don't have the time or I forget once I sit down at the computer. I put two ads up in 5 minutes for stuff I have been dying to get rid of. My husband will be so happy! The set-up is a few steps longer than I expected but now that it's done I can sell sell sell! I haven't searched for anything yet so I don't know how fast that is. Two thumbs up!

Despite some of the harsher reviews, I downloaded this application and found it quite functional. Though, there are some issues, like setting options for searching - which does need a fix or update sooner rather than later. But for casual browsing of for sale items (currently looking for furniture personally) it loads pictures quickly, easy to use, picks up where you last left off prior to looking at a specific ad and overall is very user friendly. The email is a bit wonky, but works nonetheless. I have not posted anything with this application, so I cannot say anything about my experience with it. But if you are looking for a functional, and fairly aesthetic application, I highly reccomend it.

Great app, missing one key feature

This is the nicest Craigslist app I've tried, but all the ones I've tried seem to be missing one key feature: the ability to save "favorite searches". I have some items that I'm perennially looking for on CL, and I've got a pretty complicated search string that I hate to have to type in over and over.
On the plus side, I love this app's presentation of CL items. It does a great job of reformatting the info for the iPhone screen.
