The stereogram is an integral part of contemporary art, a product of high technology, and the result of the rapid development of computer graphics. All that man had created before it, all those great pictures, which are admired by the world, «depict» only two—dimensional images. In comparison with it, the advent of the stereogram is a move to a new plane of consciousness. It allows you to see pictures of flat—dimensional illustrations! And this is not a miracle or mysticism! The stereogram is a new achievement in science, which finds more and more fans with every passing year.
How Does it Work?
When we look at a picture, our brain analyzes the signals that pass from an eye and builds an image in our mind. As a result, we see only what it shows us. So how is it possible to see a three—dimensional image on a plane? The answer is simple—you need a special way to deceive the brain into showing with your own eyes the image that the brain would consider three-dimensional. It is this that the work of a stereogram is based upon. Without going into technical detail, let's say only that when viewing the stereo, our eyes see two drawings (everyone sees his or her own image), between which there is a small difference, and this difference cheats our brains.
Useful for Health
When viewing a stereogram, a training of eye muscles occurs, which strengthens and extends visual acuity. Viewing stereograms removes fatigue from the eye and thus is especially useful for those who work with a significant load on their eyesight. If, during lunch, one devotes a bit of time to viewing such images, the effects can be felt right away. The eyes will not feel discomfort; they will be able to relax quickly when you do not need to strain your eyes. Stereograms are also used in medicine to treat early stages of myopia, in particular.

I've always loved the stereogram books and have several of them....now I can have fun looking at them wherever I am with this AWESOME app!!!!! Pleeeeease add more pics!!! For those having trouble seeing the 3-D images... It's almost like when you stare off into space but your perception is still acute at a close range (that probably won't make sense until you actually accomplish the visual action but I encourage you to try cuz it is waaaaaaay cool!!!) Great app for all ages too, my 11 yr old is crazy about it too!!!! He was able to see the images in 3-D The first time he tried. The key is don't strain your eyes but relax them!

I have never been able to see these until now. Every image transforms before my very eyes! As a kid everyone else could see these but I tried and tried and tried and never saw anything. Yesterday with this app I was just sat alone staring with my iPhone close to my face laughing to myself. Brilliant app! Add more stereograms!
