The only things that would make this better are as follows: 1. More saying from the SNL Skit. "I've got a fever..." and whatnot instead of the same saying each and every time. 2. Motion sensing cowbell strikes are a must and it looks like it will be implemented I'm the next version. 3. Ability to change the color and look of your cowbell. I mean hey this a serious expression of who you are. You don't just whip your cowbell out for anybody do you? No two cowbells should be the same. Keep up the fun work!

This may be the single finest piece of iPhone software ever written. Nay. The greatest software for any platform. Ever. It has already replaced my word processor and web browser. I've started using it for email and FTP. I think it may work as a virus removal tool too. This has improved my life. I've quit smoking. My wife has started talking to me again. And my lawn has gotten greener. Who knew a cowbell could do so much! P.S. I wish I could turn off and on the cristopher walkin voice. Sometimes you just want grab your cowbell and rock.

While the erstwhile simplicity of this musical instrument makes it appealing on a purely egalitarian level, the true pleasure from using this inspired piece of application programming is its consistency. It opens up with a simple but powerful delivery by the classically-trained actor Christopher Walken. Thereafter a screen is presented containing a large rendered bell, the kind which can be found upon your stereotypical dairy bovine. Actually *touching* said bell generates a pleasant sound simulating the real thing. It is highly responsive, able to handle as many measures as I could throw its way. Further, this application is highly stable; after many, many hours of usage I have not experienced a single crash.
If the adage "it is better to do one thing well than many things poorly" is taken as wisdom, then I say without hyperbole that this application is Buddha sitting upon his lotus.

Now you can shake it.

This is the best useless app out there. But wait. It actually sounds very good. And it's so responsive. And now that you can shake it, it is indeed, MORE cowbell.
But wait! A cowbell is not meant to be shaken my friends! Kudos to Mr. Maverick to succumbing to all you crying babies.
Here's a hack. hold the bell with one hand on the handle part of the bell. Slowly swing your phone, striking your opposite palm. This takes practice and skill so that the bell doesn't donk on the backswing. Do this slowly and deliberately.
Here are some more realistic suggestions to you, Mr. Maverick:
1. A dancing Walken who flies around, anti-gravity style, around the bell.
2. Deafening loudness.
3. Special rewards for playing a steady beat, like unlocking additional Walken quotes.
4. Something to promote world peace in Africa.

Yeah! This is a really cool app! But, it is very pointless!!! That doesn't mean that it isn't good though. It does as it said in the description, it's a cow bell. You may be thinking what is the point of that, well there isn't really one, but there we go! There is also a shake feature that is quite fun. In conclusion I think that this is a cool app and very easy to get to grips with but it is slightly lacking in the feature section!

Thanks for a fun app! Just start the song you want to play along with in iTunes, then launch More Cowbell!
I've even started a "More Cowbell" playlist. Only two, so far - the obvious, plus "Incense and Peppermint". Must find MORE COWBELL!
edit: To those who are wanting it to play by shaking the iPhone: That's NOT how a cowbell is played as a percussive instrument. It doesn't have a clapper. It's STRUCK. Holding the iPhone in one hand, and tapping with the other is the closest to the actual method. A drumstick wouldn't work because the iPhone's sensor isn't pressure sensitive (besides, I wouldn't want to be treating the iPhone that way...)

There's no better app to buy... If your going to waste your money on ibeer or something like that... Waste it on this instead!!! Play the cowbell to do fear the reaper at the right time... It sounds pretty good with it LOL.

I love tapping it to the beat but the icing on the cake is the sound clip from SNL. I laugh every time thinking about Will Ferrel earnestly playing his cowbell in his Ill fitting shirt.
