Fantastic!! By: gypsyjo72 - 24-May-2009 Version: 1.1 There really is an app out there for everything ... and everyone! As a second time Mum with a 6 week old and a 15 month old this app is my best friend at the moment. I was doing everything this app does with pen and paper, in a note book but kept putting the notebook down somewhere, forgetting which breast I was up to for feeding (yes sleep deprivation makes your brain mush) etc and this is just perfect for everything you need. The fact that there is manual entry is excellent and I personally don't use some of the details (like recording burps and spit ups but each to his own) but that's why it's so good - use as much or as little of the detail that you need. My only recommendation would be for a delete button if you've logged a record by mistake and want to delete it. My current work around for that is to just manually edit it next time when I can change the time but a delete button would be great. Fantastic work Mr Mark Bonassera and thanks for sharing it with us Mum's (and even my husband uses it when he does a bottle feed) - it makes my life much easier!
Excellent! By: h2Ochemgirl - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.2.3 I used paper with my first child and just couldn't keep up with it for #2. I'm so glad I found it, it's easy and fun to use, the one tap feature for logging is the best! The only change I would like to see is to be able to customize what is seen on the Log page under the main icons. I would like to be able to see how long he ate along with how long ago, and how long ago he slept along with how long rather then having to go to the "today" screen to see that.
Great App, Bad update By: chasingmoments - Oct 15, 2009 Version: 1.3 I've been using this app all the time, definitely a 5 star app - easy to use, allow to keep track of all the important information. The latest update has been a DISASTER- I could not start the app, it crashed all the time, and of course I lost all the data after reinstalling it (which is really bad for both practical and emotional reasons - I've had data for my little one since the day he was born!). Also, "total feedings" for the day combine all the activity for the day, not just feedings. It would be helpful if the app did not count switching breasts as two separate feedings - it should be counted as ONE feeding. It wouuld also be really helpful if it was possible to PAUSE a feeding and then RESUME it again. Great app, again, will continue using it, but please test the updates in the future, or allow users to save all the data online!
Great application for parents :) By: Missimo Mom - Jun 11, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is an awesome application.. Only my second day using it. I have to say my first day on it was a learning experience. I wasn't used to inputting something when she started eating etc so I had to input the correct times myself..It is true it takes some time to get used to it.
I searched through the other applications out their and this one by far is the best one I saw. It's very user friendly just tap the picture and it starts and ends the time. No more having to explain to my husband what I did LOL.
I can just email him..
As with anything some new updates would be great. I would love it if someday you could sync it to another I phone, or delete something that wasnt correct. However I'm going to enjoy what I have at the moment. Way to go Nerdtown :) thanks for creating such a wonderful tool for sleep deprived parents..
Great app! By: Djs momma - Jun 1, 2009 Version: 1.1 Love this tool & great customer service - I emailed a ? and got an answer same day! I do wish the email button worked consistently tho-have had to email data separately after filtering several times! (once 90 day view & excel export functions are added, that won't matter to me as much tho). Also would like sleep total (if he sleeps thru the midnight hour) to be split up between the two days. Thx for creating this app!
Saved my life! By: jessica.leet - May 11, 2009 Version: 1.1 As a brand new mom, I don't know how we would have survived the past two weeks without this app! We logged things by hand when my husband was home with us the first few days. I broke out the Itzbeen the day before he went back to work and was disappointed to realize it's pretty much just a glorified egg timer for $25. No logging. When I found this app, we literally rejoiced. I can use it one-handed and when my husband asks about our day, I tell him that we emailed him the log. Thank you so so so much!
Keeps getting better! By: Shelbyscout - Apr 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 This app is a godsend. The interface is simple and clear and requires only minimal tapping. The totals screen is very helpful. The developer is constantly updating this and it's getting better and better. My primary request is to be able to sync between multiple iPhones, but I wouldn't be surprised if the developer is already working on that. I highly recommend this app to any parent. It's worth every penny and then some.
Love It! By: SuperdyDuperdyMom - Mar 27, 2009 Version: 1.0.6 Awesome! You can totally tell this app was created by the parents of a newborn. Amazingly easy to use. I'm so excited to have gotten this app at the introductory price--it's definitely worth much more!
The only thing i'd like to see is the option at the end of a bottle feeding to enter the number of ounces consumed in that particular feeding. Currently i create a manual entry for a one-second feeding listing the ounces consumed. This takes less than a minute, and the simplicity of the app makes it well worth it. I still wouldn't trade it for any of the others I reviewed before I selected this one.
Great help By: Mahmoud E. - 23-Sep-2009 Version: 1.2.3 I'm taking the time even though I'm sleep deprived (I have a 3 day old baby boy) to tell you guys how much help this application has been. It's very easy to start and stop times or to mark when he burped and such. I have not used the trending charts yet so I can't comment on that. But it's been easy to track diaper changes, when he pooped, when he used which breast, etc. Absolutely great. Even the nurses at the hospital were impressed by how accurately I've tracked my baby boy's activities. When I forget to track something (or stop a timer), I've easily been able to manually enter or alter the times. Just great. Not sure what else to say about this app :-) Thanks for a great idea.
Excellent but slow By: Kansas City Kidd - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 1.2.3 I'm a first time dad and a tech junkie so this app was an excellent find. It has super helpful so far! Thank You! One complaint I have is that the app seems to get slower every day. I've tried rebooting my phone but that doesn't seem to affect anything. Being able to quickly get in and mark an event is critical. The other complaint is that when editing the time's for feedings, it appears that the time values in the spinners are automatically adjusted at times to try and prevent me from entering invalid dates. This has caused me more confusion and user error than it has helped me. For example, it often swaps AM/PM when I'm just moving the minutes back a bit. And sometimes the minutes spinner goes crazy and adjusts itself several values. I'm not sure if this is anything the developer can fix or if its the default iphone behavior. It would be nice if these spinners didn't try to auto adjust and just let me specify the values, and then if I try to save a record with bad data let me know.

Great blend of ease of use with complete tracking By: ib3nj1 - Aug 22, 2009 Version: 1.2.3 Priority list of feature requests & nits: - "Last feeding" on "Log" page should reflect the "combinded feedings" setting (in addition to "duration from start" setting). Tracking from the start of a "combined" feeding seems to be most typical method recommended. It's what we use. The "last breast" should be the start side since sometimes only one side is used. - "Last feeding" on "Log" page should note the breast side last used even when last feeding was from a bottle. Otherwise, one has to search through the daily list to find the side to use. - "Something else" form should have a notes field instead of requiring multiple steps to add extended information. - The promised "import" feature would be great. Especially if this enables multi-parent logging. We also have data from a previous program that I'd like to merge. I can easily convert to match the same format as the CSV export. - Auto export of some sort would be nice or at least an option to export multiple days with one click. - Button presses should have an optional yes/no cofirmation. "Optional" because my wife likes confirmation, but I like the current one-press behavior :-) - Remebering the last email address or being able to use the iPhone contacts would be great for the email button. - Native pump support would be nice. That said, we love the app, so that's why the 4 stars. We don't see any of the slowness that others have complained about. It appeals to my wife's ease-of-use requirements, and my need-tons-of-data requirements (I'm an engineer). So, we both get what we want with minimal hassle. I love the export to CSV feature (tons-of-data again). Please continue to preserve the authorization key across multiple days since it makes it easy for me to pull the data. Don't mind if you drop the UTF-8 BOM though :)
Love this app By: JungleSports - Jul 10, 2009 Version: 1.2 This app is nearly perfect. It doesn't try to do everything, but it does all the main things any new parent would need and it is SO simple to use. I have a few of these types of apps and this is the one I consistently use. The only thing I wish this had was support for multiple iPhone syncing. My wife and I both have iPhones, but she has to "give me report" so that we have all the info on one phone. There has to be a better way for this. The first app that can do this will probably be the one I continue to use. I hope it is this one :-)
Good! By: Dad7/8 - Jul 6, 2009 Version: 1.2 My wife and I enjoy the program a lot, to track our newborn's activities, but we're a little "winded" that you have to manually waken the 'sleep' log before the baby eats - anotherwords, the program allows the baby to sleep and eat similataneously, where the two activities are mutually exclusive.
Another gripe is the icon for feeding is a bottle - my wife dares to breastfeed, so this is somewhat inconsiderate.
Otherwise, it's lovely. Haven't tried the csv export option yet.
Awesome By: mmera94 - Oct 27, 2009 Version: 1.2.4 I love this app! My daughter keeps getting sick and I use the Baby Activity Logger to keep track of her hectic schedule when that happens. I love that it only takes a couple of hits to enter data. It's very easy to do it on he fly as I am taking care of her. I like the filter option for the daily logs. A couple of things that could be improved: I'm not a big fan of the layout of the charts. Also, for best use of the totals feature, it would be great if there would be a way to split the night sleep at midnight.
Love it! By: 1st time mom - Jun 23, 2009 Version: 1.2 Great idea, with great execution. This totally keeps me sane. when the baby starts crying I can take a peek at the log showing her last activity times, without a worry that I'm over or under feeding. I know that her bowels are regular, and can kinda predict how her nights will be. My only complaints might be time editing the scrolls can be a bit anoying, as well as the 24 hr clock, and been unable to edit the time an activity began if the activity is still in progress. Nonetheless great app, def worth it!
Perfect for that crazy first week!! By: scbranson - Jun 3, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is the perfect app for sleep deprived parents to whom the difference between 5 minutes and 5 hours can, at times, seem indistinguishable. The simple interface makes it easy to log events as they happen, or go back later to add things if your hands are full taking care of baby! This is perfect for appointments with the pediatrician - it's great knowing exactly how many feedings and diaper changes are being made, which is important to baby's health. When you are sleep deprived, it's hard to keep track - the clearly displayed "Time Since x" timers make this a lot easier. Also great for data junkies who just love seeing their newborn's early stats, and provides ease of mind having the data to know things are going how they should. I would like to see manual entry from the "Today" view as well as the "Log" view.
Really great but a few suggestions By: CocoNYC - May 21, 2009 Version: 1.1 We just discovered this 2 weeks ago (our baby is just 6 weeks) and it's fantastic - especially when I can't remember if I started feeding at 2am, or did I finish? OR was it 3am? Oy! And it's also great because my husband uses it too and I can just look at my iTouch and see what he logged without having to ask him what happened on his shift. It's a bummer that it only keeps info for the last 7 days. I didn't discover this until today, so I'm missing info. The "email" function seems to not work - am I doing something wrong?! We'd love to be able to download the info - my husband would dig making charts & graphs from the info. I think that should be part of the 1.2 update - do it fast!!!
Love it, just 2 suggestions. By: Nicolereneef - May 10, 2009 Version: 1.1 This app is really fantastic! It’s so nice to have all baby information right there in one app, and to be able to review and edit the day. My only suggestion is to change the feeding portion for Breast feeders a little bit. The feeding timing should be from the start of one to the start of the next, not according to when they finish. Also, one feeding session should be able to include both right and left breast. Right now it logs it as 2 different feeding sessions and makes it look like they eat 2x as often! Thanks for making it so user friendly!
Great software and some suggestions By: Sprittibee - May 3, 2009 Version: 1.1 Love the baby tracker! Has made tracking our days so much easier. I wanted to suggest a few extras for you, though...
* an additional timed tracker for other activities such as time in the car, time in the swing, time walking or on tummy, etc. Some "others" are timed activities.
* a milestone tracker and chart ... Rolling over , sitting up, teeth, etc. It would be cool to track the dates and see a checklist to see if baby is on track .
* ONE MORE REQUEST:
Delete option for the list and I can't seem to email the diaper info. Can you not email ALL items without filtering? That would be easier.
Otherwise, I love the application and am encouraged by all the good reviews on your customer service/ listening to suggestions. Thanks for a great program !!!
Great App!!! By: BargainBetty - May 3, 2009 Version: 1.1 I wish I knew about this app 2 weeks ago! I had been keeping track of my baby's daily activities, feedings, diaper changes, burps, spit-ups, basically everything this app provides but I had been writting down all of it in a journal. I just bought this app and I am so glad I did!
I have 2 suggestions that could make this app truly a 5 star app. First, adding a medication & illness/fever option to keep track of what & when medication is given and how much, keep track of child's temperature/fever. Second, adding a "cancel" option to the "sleep" selection.
Other than that, thanks for a great app!
