In addition, the application lists many respected resources and their links and phone numbers, where applicable, as well as the WHO/UNICEF Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding (the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative), and the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes. Reviews:
Another reason all physicians need an iPhone By: SamM'sMom - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Thank you, Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition! This is a very handy digest of evidence-based advice for managing basic breastfeeding issues. This is a must-have for all pediatricians, family physicians, obstetricians, and nurse-midwives. The only downside is that medications are not reviewed within the app, and the link to LactMed does not work that well on the iPhone. When they update the app with the medications, it will be a must-have for all physicians who treat babies or women of child-bearing age.
Fantastic By: Yes.No.Yes - 19-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0 An absolute must have app! It's so useful and I should imagine I'll get my fair usage out of it!
Great resource! By: silverspook - Mar 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 Wow this app has great info! I wish I had it when my son was a newborn!!! (For the record, he's 2 now and we're still nursing!!!) :)
Very Handy By: Lorgal - Mar 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is a very good quick reference. The Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition is such a good resource for everyone from an MD to a Nurse, to a nursing mother, to a dietician! Thanks for this App!

Very good basic program By: IndigoRose - Apr 25, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I am a lactation consultant and like to tell my Breastfeeding iPhone usong clients about the program because it has current and accurate information. It is too basic for my use, until the link to Lactmed is improved.
Great App For CLE, CLC, CBE, Doula's and more too! By: mommyndoula - Mar 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 As a doula I get asked loads of breastfeeding questions and even with years worth of my own nursing experience, I still occasionally need to reference third party sites for answers. This app will make it easier to find the answers I need without having to tell my clients 'I'll get back to you'
Breastfeeding management By: RNC-OB - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 A boon for family practice, obstetricians, pediatricians, PAs, NPs, lactation consultants and RNs. Particularly of value are the reference links, i.e. LactMed.

Practical By: DStroppolo - 20-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0 As a nursing studdent, I find this usefull when I have to teach new mother about breastfeeding technique and benefits. It is a good app, simple to use, and the information is quite accurate. On the other hand, I would have like to find so pictures and other visual aids to show mothers : can I hope for an update? Well done!
