Reviews:
DDx is great tool for clinician. By: lkmonly - Jul 11, 2009 Version: 1.3 This is a very useful tool for person like me with clinical training and use it in "on the spot" patient encounters. It will be unfair to understand these Latin words mean without prior training. I would recommend the author put a disclaimer that the intended audiences are in order to avoid the disappointment. As far as the content, I love the way it organizes. I love the Favorite feature that allow you to put common topics in one place. It is not comprehensive but cover a good majority of DDx that you may want to consider in the ambulatory clinical setting. I would hope I can copy and paste (I am using OS 3.0 and Dx 2.0 - not Dx1.3) to do further research in the Internet. May be the Dx 3.0 will include this feature. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE ! GOOD JOB and Thank you.
Great!! By: onlyjenny - Jun 21, 2009 Version: 1.3 I owned three palm pilots prior to owning my iphone, and diagnosaurus has always been one of th eessential tools I have used in my medical practice. A quick review of it in cases where a diagnosis is unclear helps the clinician expand their differential and not miss the less obvious possibilities. I appreciate the format of the program for iphone and find it to be as helpful as always and very user friendly. I plan to use for years to come!
Wonderful app By: Elviepearl - May 26, 2009 Version: 1.2 As a new Respiratory Care Practitioner, I am very pleased with this app. In the fairly frantic environment of a large metropolitan hospital, I am often expected to identify initial details or discover new developments in a patient's conditions, and suggest possible DDx to our overworked and underloved docs and CNPs. It's nice to have Diagnosaurus as a fast-use, point of care resource. I think the app hits the sweet spot, in terms of its level of detail. I rely on other resources and other colleagues for deeper analysis. This app helps focus one's starting point in patient evaluation and care.
helpful By: another MSIV - Apr 24, 2009 Version: 1.2 It is helpful for med students, particularly for write ups and studying for known cases. If you have a patient with a certain symptom or disease on rounds you know you're going to be asked about the differential, so it is a quick and easy way to review before you present. For a dollar it is worth buying. With that said it would definitely be helpful to be able to put in multiple symptoms. It wouldn't be that hard either if they just tagged each disease with a list of symptoms.
simple and straightforward By: aKnits - Apr 12, 2009 Version: 1.2 This is just what I expected and what I use it for--a reminder list of differential diagnoses--to prompt me when seeing a problem that I haven't dealt with for a while. I don't mind paying $0.99 for this app. I don't expect it to do anything beyond what it says it will. And I don't need all the other bells and whistles, nor do I need it to give me lots of details about the diagnoses listed. I have other references for that. Easy to navigate.

Useful App By: DocBob - May 18, 2009 Version: 1.2 I am looking forward to the occasional use of this application that I used to have on my Palm. The application is NOT an attempt to create an AI physician but is occasionally useful for jogging the memory / making sure there is not something obvious that you haven't thought of in creating a differential. In this way it can be very educational for students / residents but is even useful for those of us in practice for 10+ years.
All med students By: scooby007 - 09-Jun-2009 Version: 1.2 Pretty decent app, you'd love it!
Must have for med students By: Morgan Daniel - 07-May-2009 Version: 1.2 Useful for any engaged doc.
Awesome By: Junior doc - 10-Apr-2009 Version: 1.2 Brilliant app. Great for med students and those applying for membership. Don't normally review apps but felt I needed to as so good.
Only 59p. Buy it now. You won't regret it.
Excellent App By: Mac123456 - 28-Mar-2009 Version: 1.2 At 59p it's a steal! Have been using it on my PDA for years.
For diff dx only By: Mailpa3 - Aug 25, 2009 Version: 1.3 For the negative ones

Great app for differentials By: ilti_H_north carolina - Jun 16, 2009 Version: 1.3 Great app for differentials. This app isn't one for making a diagnosis, but allows for a great, broad differential. Its great for morning rounds when presenting a patient. The differentials can be a bit broad, but this comes in handy when presented with a patient who has atypical symptoms. There is actually a great review of this app on iphonemedicalappreview.com, they go into depth pretty well.

Love diagnosaurus By: NPinSC - Apr 23, 2009 Version: 1.2 I had it on my palm pilot before buying an iPhone. I wrote to unbound several times asking them to make it available for iPhone. I am a hospitalist nurse practitioner and use this software almost everyday. Great for midlevels and medical students! Well worth 99 cents.
