Reviews:
Excellent!! By: Inpatient... - 11-Dec-2008 Version: 1.4.2 This is how an iPhone app should be! Very well built and presented. Content wise it's very useful too. I have certain food and additive allergies and my girl has asthma so this app comes very handy to root out bad products. Many thanks! The only gripe would be that the latest version don't have the choice to use the old cool scullnbones logo that gave me a few rised eyebrows among friends ;) ...besides some additives are really that bad to my allergies. (!) Do buy this app if you care about what you eat.
I wish this app was more popular.. By: A.K.L - Mar 10, 2009 Version: 1.5.4 People wake up and SMELL what you're eating. Seriously, this app gives great basic information about the many additives that we consume each and every day. I'm learning about harmful additives and trying to avoid as many as I can. Recent: MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) which KILLS NEURONS. Do your amazing body a favor and purchase this application that is way worth, more than many pointless apps you've bought :)
Thank you! New icon is great! By: SidCid - Dec 2, 2008 Version: 1.5 This app is very interesting and useful. I like how you've created different ways to view the data. My favorite is the "Diet" view where you can view additives by what they're derived from (ie insects, animal, bacterial); very entertaining and informational! I also like the icons you associate with some of the risks (included on the flip side of the additive listings). On that note, the 'Symptoms' sort option is by far is the most useful option for me.
Very Good! Needs very minor improvement By: MrIcee - Aug 14, 2008 Version: 1.0 Wonderful app... very interesting and very indepth. Nice user interface. My only complaint would be that I find the descriptions hard to read in that the text is too small (also, the italic text is very hard to read). I would love it if it (1) supported landscape mode AND portrait mode and (2) Allowed me to zoom up the screen to see it better. Other than that... an excellent and informative app done in a very pleasing and easy to use way.
Simply Awsome! By: Sambuddha - Aug 14, 2008 Version: 1.0 I wish I could buy this for everyone! Spend a few minutes with this app and your favorite snack food and see what you put into yourself. I'm not preaching or advocating one thing vs. another, simply that you should be aware of what you are eating. This is particularly useful if you suffer from allergies, migraines etc. The religious aspect is an interesting one as well, seeing how hard labels make deciphering what comes from where. Love this app!
Must have By: _maddy - 11-Sep-2009 Version: 1.6.2 I rarely give any app 5stars. This app gives an upper edge to the consumers. You can pick anything off the shelf and actually know what it contains and how much you can have with warnings. Pressing the small info button links directly to wikipedia for detailed information. People who are complining about not having search feature must be really reallly dumb coz there was absolutely no difficulty in searching. Worth every cent.
Could be improved with a search function, but very useful By: ionised - 29-Jul-2009 Version: 1.6 As someone with a sensitivity to sulphites (sulfites) and who also has celiac disease so needs to know what additives are from gluten derived ingredients (i'm quite sensitive), I use this app a lot when out shopping and it really helps when I'm buying forign products (e.g. from the chinese food store) since they tend to list just the E-numbers and not the names of the ingredients, which I'm used to. Before finding this app I felt like I needed a permanent internet connection to look up what was safe to eat or not when out shopping, so this has really helped a lot. I used to either buy food i'd later discover I couldn't eat, or avoid foods that turned out to be safe, and always after agonising for ages, staring at the label and racking my memory. I'm sure I looked mad! This is also useful for those moments when you're offered something but arn't sure if you can eat it or not. It's not the most elegent thing to say "i need to check first" but the app is still more discrete than asking someone to boot up their computer. Please not this is limited to additives only so does not include things like soya sauce, etc and is not intended as a guide of safe ingredients for people with CD.
A model for data access on the iPhone By: raddle - 14-Aug-2008 Version: 1.0 I bought this largely on a whim, as I'm not obsessed about additives, but am very impressed. A lot of data very accessibly and attractively presented, with links to Wikipedia discretely included - this app really does show how it should be done. There's an occasional spelling or apostrophe-based error ("bodies" instead of "body's", and so on), and it's a teensy bit alarmist - notably in its schlocky icon, which lets down the classy look of every other aspect of the app - but aside from these minor nit-picks, if you want to know this kind of stuff, it's very hard to see how it could be done better...
excelent and bargain for this price !!!! By: psyhodelfin - 01-Aug-2009 Version: 1.6 Good data base, it's very intrestig
to see what we eat every day.
Thanks for this app.It make sens in nowadays times
Well done, great app. By: charlesteton - 07-Feb-2009 Version: 1.5.3 Can't think of anything I would change! Fast, clean and clear information.

Perfect By: Bobblebee - 24-Aug-2008 Version: 1.0 Just what I've been looking for. My son has to watch his diet but I'm rather forgetful with E-numbers so this will be a godsend! :)
World class app! By: Thunderheart_ - Sep 30, 2009 Version: 1.6.3 If you care about what's in the food you eat, then you need this app! Not only is it helpful, but the interface is world class design.
Food types By: Chef smurf - Jul 24, 2009 Version: 1.6 This is a great tool, I'm a chef and I have to work with special diets and

Great!!! By: BioNO2 - Jul 10, 2009 Version: 1.6 I love this app!!!!
Love that the info is stored locally!! By: jlmcdonell - May 13, 2009 Version: 1.5.7 I have an iTouch and I love that I can use this in the grocery store where I don't have wifi access. So handy and helpful. I shop very differently now I know more about what is in different brands!
Amazing By: itsjustmikegrr - May 5, 2009 Version: 1.5.7 Me and my mom have celiac and I don't know how we ever made it without this iPhone app. It's user interface is just amazing.
Love it! By: Ashley Veg - Apr 5, 2009 Version: 1.5.4 This is great I'm vegan and this helps a lot when I'm in a crunch. It doesn't have everything but it is helpful.

Great for us Veggies!!! By: Ecoferal - Dec 5, 2008 Version: 1.5.7 I have been living in CZ for some time. So as a vegeterian when first got here I had to hurry up and learn all the words for animal products but then it was even harder b/c things like geletin are listed with e-numbers. So at times I would by things only to bring it home and find out I couldn't eat it. So now I can quickly check out everything before I buy it. It is really worth the money.
