Description:
Medication Tracker is an application that helps you keep track of up to 4 medicines at a time. You can keep track of how many times you have taken medicines on any day, by clicking on the buttons on the first screen, as and when you take them. You can also set the medicine names to whatever you want using the Settings screen. Unlimited family history can be stored along with start and end dates in the Family screen. There is also a Statistics screen that gives you current information about the medicines that you are taking and can provide daily, monthly and yearly totals and averages for the medicines taken. The application is light-weight and starts up quickly and very easy to use. If you have any issues, do no hesitate to contact us. If you like the application, do review it for the benefit of others. Have fun medicating yourself !

Reviews:
Fan of fur By: Fan of fur - 25-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 This application has potential to be a really handy tool for anyone on lots of medication. The major flaw at the moment is if you forget to take your meds you're likely to forget to complete this too. This could be easily resolved by the addition of an alarm notification function. This would sound at the preset time that that medication is due alerting you which med to take.
I've given 2 stars for potential with the suggested update it would be a 5.
Supermom By: Judy loves Raymond - Mar 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 Needs a reminder or an alert for the next dose you need to take or forgot to take
Medication tracker (1st version) By: Cosmo Jacobs - 26-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 This app is great for tracking pill consumption over an extended period of time. However i would like to be able to keep track of more medications because some people (like me) who have to take multiple medications on a ongoing bases most likely have more than four meds to take per day.
Overall I think this is a great first version!
Poor set up By: gamedics - Apr 13, 2009 Version: 1.0 Had trouble when i first downloaded program and began to set it up. With setting up medication it would not let me leave the add data screen because it wanted a stop date for the medication. If it is a maintenance medication and I don't stop taking it ever you need a no stop date available.
Difficult navigation, directions By: ToxicShockTaco - Mar 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 There should be a medication reminder and more medication options (users create their own amount, instead of the standard 4). There should be a way to keep track of medications that are taken more than once a day as well. Perhaps instead of having "1" it could be counted in fractions. For example, you take Med A twice daily. You record it the first time you take it, and are given 0.5 as the count. Then when you record your second dose, it would be recorded as 1.
Need more By: Mrs Benjamin, MN - Mar 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 Need more than 4 pills, as well as ability to chart when I did not take meds. Need to be able to track insulin as well
iPills is way ahead of the game By: michael.mckenna - 29-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 I can see where the developer is heading with this app, but in reality and practical application, it is merely a calculator to tell how many pills have been taken. It has a start and end date that MUST be completed (no good if the mediation is life long) and does not REMIND a person to TAKE the medication. Really, looking in one's pill box to see if there is a dose missing or not will do the same as this app. That said - with a little more thought I am sure it could be developed into a truly useful and helpful tool.
nice idea... By: pleasurejunky - 24-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 this app would be perfect if you added a medication reminder/alarm
Unusable By: LouiseC - 07-May-2009 Version: 1.0 This app was advertised as free till the end of March. It was still free in May and I thought it might be helpful to help me manage all the meds I am currently on, but it isn't helpful at all. It is not user friendly, you cant log meds that need to be taken more than once per day. Thank goodness it was free. Deleting now.
Needs more By: Superdell - Aug 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 Needs to be simpler. Ma mom has type two diabetes she's having trouble with her meds so I help her. It needs more than four meds and insuline tracker with history of amount takin at day and time for easier refrence at the docs office. Also a blood glucose level log will help also with day time and notes.

Needs to track more By: Andikae - Jun 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 First, I love that we can try it for free and write our wish list for this app. I hope you take the suggestions and implement them.
I am looking for something to track all (not just 4) of my medicines. Anyone wanting to track this is likely on many more than 4 meds. I want to track over time and have info easy to pull got medical forms.
My recommendations to add:
- remove limit of 4
- better instructions for use and edits
- ability to add doctor and pharmacy contact info and link to different prescriptions
- database of meds would be great
- drug interaction warnings
- fields to record side effects and reactions to drugs
- ability to also track vitamins and supplements
- ability to track IV treatments and other medical treatments that may not be pills or daily meds
- ability to add insurance info
- graph historical data
- ability to handle and record dosages and intervals
- do not require end dates, some drugs are taken for years or forever
- refill tracking
If these or several of these changes are implemented I would rerate it and be willing to pay for a good app!
I hope to see some new improvements!
Needs major overhaul By: Dieburnbot - May 22, 2009 Version: 1.0 It needs to be able to track more than 4 medicines. Also all of my medicines need to be taken at certain intervals such as every 8 hours or they have to be taken at a certain time like 10 pm every night. This app has no options to track by time or interval. So it's pretty useless in it's current state.
I gave the app 3 stars because the developers made the app free in order to get feedback so I don't want to drag their rating down too far if they are willing to fix problems based on feedback. I will update the review based on the next version.
Time - remaining doses - refill alert By: Voodooroller - May 16, 2009 Version: 1.0 Add a place to keep track of how many pills you have remaining, refill date, cost of pills, stuff like that
Needs a reminder By: Qtea - Mar 24, 2009 Version: 1.0 All this app needs is a reminder of when the medication needs to be taken again.
Needs to be more user friendly By: Drew318 - Mar 21, 2009 Version: 1.0 More med options and better reminders!
Revamp it By: joo-joo man - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 Suggestions:
Pill reminder alarm. You have the option of dismissing or dismissing by adding to daily intake.
Drug interaction warnings
Add more medications to track
Change interface and add database of medications to choose from
As simple as it is, simplify it more.
Make more visually appealing.
You should be able to charge for it once you put in alarm.
Useless By: Kaiserseal - Mar 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 Like a todo list that can only record 4 items. Weak implementation
Too small, Poor implimentation By: weintrw - Mar 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 Only tracks four drugs. Really doesn't track- you touch one of the four drug names and a check mark appears. Then a counter goes up by one for the drug. I take way more than four meds. If I took only four I could remember if I took them. The work needed to record you took it, is too many keystrokes. You have to end the day yourself. The statistics it saves are of questionable use. ie. percent taken in a month or year. Total pills taken in a year. This app is not a good starting point. I think it should start over. The logo took more time than the program design. Sorry, I could use a easy pill tracker. This is not it.
iPills is way ahead of the game By: michael.mckenna - 11-Jun-2009 Version: 1.0 I can see where the developer is heading with this app, but in reality and practical application, it is merely a calculator to tell how many pills have been taken. Great Start By: TazCG - 11-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 Being a chronic pain patient for the past 4+ years. I have met a lot of others, just like my self. For those with an iPhone, this is a great idea although you may consider adding some additional functions.
In many cases, patients with complex medical issues may need quite a few more medication spots. I for example take 11 medications, unfortunately.
A Journal may also be a great idea. This would be a great idea, in order to keep track of the effects of new medications, or combinations of. Also this would be a wonderful idea as a pain tracking journal in general, to how one reacts to medications.
Last, but not least. A monthly timer would help patients remember when it is time to go for refills, perhaps a form of a simple calendar, for when refills run out as well.
I appologize for the length of this review. I think these additional functions would make your wonderful application more compete.
