Description:

Designed by a doctor at a level 1 trauma center, Patient Tracker helps you track information about your patients.
Store history & physical (H&P) and notes for each patient. You won't have to carry around index cards anymore, and dictation will be a breeze.
Includes standard answers for allergies, alcohol consumption, tobacco use, illicit drug history, pulmonary, cardiovascular, abdomen, neuro, HEENT, vitals, neck, and more. Quickly select standard answers by tapping instead of typing.
Includes shorthand symbols for CHEM-7 and CBC.
Perfect for doctors, medical students, nurses, and anybody else involved in patient care.
Try our other popular medical apps:

Patient Tracker is for storing data about patients you are actively following in the hospital. Your list will typically have fewer than 15 patients so you can quickly tap the one you want. Usually, you will delete a patient from the list when their hospital course is complete. Patient Tracker is for personal reference and isn't an EMR app.
All fields are optional. Enter as little or as much data about each patient as you want. Whatever makes your life easier!
In order to comply with HIPAA, you should set a passcode on your iPhone and set the passcode to be required immediately.
To set a passcode, open the "Settings" app, tap "General", and tap "Passcode Lock".

One of the better things I've tried  rating of Patient Tracker
By: hikingal - Oct 21, 2008
Version: 1.0
On an inpt unit where I care for a large number of patients on a daily basis, this app comes in really handy. Makes my old notecards obsolete, and easy to track trends in patient's daily labs and events. My daily to-do lists don't get lost this way. No worries from a HIPAA standpoint, just password protect the phone and you're good to go. I lose my phone less often than I lost my notecards anyway...

Very Easy to use.  rating of Patient Tracker

I like this app. It allows you to enter just the data you need and leave the rest blank. The short-hand for labs is great. I love the ability to add data in "daily notes." This is ideal for keeping track of data for discharge summaries and transfer of care notes. I am surprised that there are quick text buttons for the exam but not for past medical history and surgical history. Also, the addition of a short-hand method of entering liver enzymes, INR, ABG, cardiac enzyme and a studies section to the daily notes would be most appreciated. Thanks for a great app!

This is a useful program  rating of Patient Tracker
By: Papa Doc - Sep 24, 2008

This is a very useful program for a busy doctor. It's not easy to keep track of a large number of hospitalized patients spread over several wards in a large big city hospital. It also serves as a double check to keep me from failing to bill for services, so the small cost of the program is insignificant. The concerns about HIPAA violations are not realistic. iPhones are easy to password protect.

Good start  rating of Patient Tracker

I will try to use it, since I keep loosing my paper-based notes. There should be a sync function for mac/PC and a function to share the info like a sign-out tool!

Love the updates  rating of Patient Tracker
By: NickEVegas - Jul 13, 2009
Version: 1.5
I am very excited to see the update! They are a step in the right direction. I still need my note cards most of the time though until i have a chance to input the new info. With a few more updates i can hopefully kiss my notecards good bye. I would like to see a ROS section in the H&P section. I would also like to see a few more fields that would make input easier i.e. Vital signs input similar to the new lab input as well as some auto text fields for PE/ROS fields that would defauls to a normal exam unless edited. Adding some more fields to the daily note that would match the template found in a Maxwell's would be much more useful than the basic SOAP and labs. 10/13 Is there any way to allow for the patient list to be rearranged

This app has potential to being great  rating of Patient Tracker

I would like to see more auto text fields incorporated. Labs section in H&P should have preset skeletons incorporated like it is in Daily Notes. I would like to see incorpated LFTs, PT/INR, UA, cardiac enzymes in H&P. It would be great to also have an automatic list of meds pop up as you type in a med (i.e. As you type in A-T...then a list of potential matches pop up for u to select: atenolol, ativan, atrovent, etc). The less typing, the better.

Has Potential  rating of Patient Tracker
By: fatgirlslim - Dec 4, 2008
Version: 1.3
I do consults and keep a running list of patients to bring down for procedures. Prior to bringing them down, I have to medically clear them and follow things like coag's and CBC's. After the procedures, I remove the pt's from my list. I used to keep a paper list in my pocket, but I found my list getting chaotic after constantly updating labs or other info. With this app, I am definitely more organized. Along with Epocrates and Evernote, I have almost everything I need to manage a patient from my iPhone. I completely rely on this app for tracking my patients. The app has some shortcomings:
1. You can't modify the templates
2. When you type, the font is too small; there should be a way to make the font bigger
3. There isn't a password, autolock feature.
4. There should be a separate screen for archived patients.
5. There is no landscape mode.
6. There is no search mode
7. It's a bit expensive for what you get
I think it's a good little app but the user should be able to modify it to their specific needs. I think the developer can do some simple updates. I rate this three stars.

Not as useful as hoped  rating of Patient Tracker
By: Stublue - 04-Dec-2008
Version: 1.3
As another reviewer said, this isn't much better than using a pen & paper! Typing on the iphone keyboard is no doubt means its even slower. I was hoping for quick entry shortcuts, templates for illnesses, examination findings but no such joy. It's effectively just an outline template with headings already entered for you. It's a shame. Being able to include pt current status, management plan, investigations and tests to organize, dates etc would be a start! Here's hoping for improvement!

It's OK, but is it better than pen and paper.....?  rating of Patient Tracker
By: Don Stefano Sabatini - 11-Jan-2009
Version: 1.5
This app is a fine demonstration of how pen and paper remain the technological gold standard. On the plus side there's every data field you'd want (or need) to use, but it's far too cumbersome, with free text entry throughout that is time consuming and fiddly for a busy clinician/practitioner. I'd prefer just entering the patient's initials and thereafter using drop-down lists for the rest of the information (though this may require specialty specific versions). *** Latest update adds little - this app needs a complete rethink. ***

takes to much time to input data. would be ideal if had a list of common problems and allow for checking options. better luck next time. Would love refund too!

Needs work  rating of Patient Tracker
By: NY FIre/EMS - Dec 19, 2008
Version: 1.3
The idea is very well thought out but in a real situation not time managable. Age should be seperated. Vitals should have there own bubbles to enter RR, P, and BP with option of SpO2. Able to add favorites or common allergies. Male or female button. Automatic date and time feature set to when pt assessment made. And an option to possible look at a complete summary of all patient findings and details. Needs alot of work but could be one of the best apps for pt care if little things are changed. If your reading this don't buy till update is done.

I bought to try it, but in way is it differrent than any note function. No search function, list of patients does not have any form of order!
Can you refund me please. This is nonsense. For applications more than 2.00, better to give option of trial version or demo version for evaluation before buying!. Otherwise iTunes should be responsible for posting such a crap and refund us for any crap out there like this.

Worst app ever  rating of Patient Tracker
By: munnacanada - 19-Aug-2009

This is the worst app I have ever bought.I am a regular buyer here.It cost me 9.99 dollars for nothing.Dont be fooled by the screen shots. You have to enter each and every info yourself( cheats). And only a few slots have a couple of choices in drop down list. This is shocking!
