Best relax app out there

Buy this app, even if you have otger relax apps already i love it I have 8-9 relax apps, plus 20+ relax CDs. I keep coming back to this one as my favorite. Many of the tracks are music and this not completely seamless. I love this -- after all, the Solitude CDs aren't seamless either. There are many wonderful sound and music compsitions. They sounds are mixed very well, IMHO. The app interface could use a few minor improvements, but I've seen worse. I'd love to see a Favorites feature. I'd like it to remember which song I was on last use. But mostly, it works fine.

This is WAY better than the other ambient apps. The "compositions" are great not only for falling asleep to but also to listening during the day at work. One improvement is they can update it so that it stays on while you check email/txt on your iphone. Also they need to have these as ringtones! Would love to use these for my clock alarm. This is worth every penny and the free version does not have all the selections. You will not regret buying this for .99.

This is my favorite of the ambient, easy listening & even binaural apps that I have. The melodies are gorgeous & with headphones, you'll find that the music is high quality, both relaxing and reflective. The interface is flawless and effect is perfect. I tend to be hyper sometimes and can this app leaves me in a nice serene calm. Very nice job. I look forward to the updates - it can only get better.

Good use of a dollar but be aware that not all sounds are useful. For example, "ax" (makes my skin crawl). Ocean & Gulls" should really be called 'screaming birds' and "avalanche" should be called 'static on the tv'.These are probably the most annoying sounds and the rest are ok. It is very soothing to pick a melody, put the color changer on and fall asleep staring at the reflection on the ceiling. This feature alone makes this app worth keeping.

Features some very nice, high-quality sounds, which are richer and more vibrant than those in apps like White Noise.
Unfortunately, there are very noticable "seams" in the loop on many of the sounds, so that in the middle of a rain storm, for example, there will be a sudden pause, and the sound will jump back to the beginning again.
This is pretty jarring when you're trying to relax or fall asleep.
The interface is also not all that great. It's too easy to accidentally switch sounds when you're trying to set the timer, or have the timer disappear when you're trying to scroll up through sounds.
Silent Island does have quite a few more usable sounds than many of the other relaxation programs on here, some of which seem to feature a lot of strange or disconcerting sounds as a joke or as filler so they can advertise that the app contains 50 sounds, when only 30 of them are actually listenable.
Also of note, there are a couple of titles that don't make any sense and seem to be misspelled, like "Tosing Stream," "Island Birlds 3," and "Fabel Garden." This doesn't effect the sound, but still...
I'd like to give this app 4 or 5 stars, but I only find about 10 of the tracks really relaxing, and the interface does annoy me quite a bit.
This app features more truly relaxing sounds than many of the others out, it just needs some definite work.

I have them all (or just about) and this is my absolute fave. You get the "ambiance" sounds (waves, streams, birds, etc) together with peaceful melodies. Unlike many of the other relaxation programs out there this one is never jaring or distracting. The clear separation between "day" and "night" or energizing and unwinding programs is very useful. I haven't quite figured out the color changing program but that's not why I have it anyway. I'd give it five stars once it's updated to fix the "sleep" problem due to the new OS update.

I have been looking for a "soundtrack" like this for 10 years! I owned a thunderstorm cd that was just the rain, no pesky music, that used to put me to sleep quickly; and as an insomniac, if something works, you stick with it. Thank You! I can turn off the fan now!

This app really works. I usually get 5 hrs or less. This app helps me fall asleep faster and get a better nights sleep. Thank You Silent Island. A must have if you are having problems sleeping or just need to unwind.
