While it may not be as realistic as other music apps (like pocketguitar or minisynth) it is still great for what it is suppose to do. The new update is great. The only problem is the metal kit doesn't represent a metal drum set (I'm not a drummer but I'm assuming there is no other kind of metal kit besides the ones that retain to the metal genre) it sounds muted and the kicks sound like two hammers hitting wood or something. Other than that it is great.

This is the best drum app out there at the moment. It focuses on clean, easy to hit areas with good quality drum sounds. Great way to pass the time for any aspiring drummer.
While this App is great, its not perfect.
I would like to see these features in future versions:
* removal of the "rotate your ipod left" start screen - just show me the drums and ill decide how I want to hold my phone!
* A way to reassign which sound each hit circle plays - for some drum patterns its more convenient to put tom toms in a line or whatever
* Extra sounds - Closed hi-hat!
Otherwise this is a great App I'm recommending to all my friends.

One day an app called DigiDrummer Lite appeared on the appstore. I download it tried it out and loved it so much i had to buy the full version of DigiDrummer. So addicting, so awesome, so the greatest drum app to this day. A wide range of different drum kits, sounds awesome, recording features, theres nothing this app doesnt offer. I can also already tell how dedicated the makers of this app are, with a lot of plans to release updates to benefit us with the app in many ways. In conclusion, buy this app, if your not sure about it try the Lite version, i guarantee you will be hooked on it!

Without a doubt the best drum app available for the iPod Touch, and definitely my most used app. Includes a wide variety of kits to play on and skins to use. And I didn't expect many updates, but new kits keep on coming (fifteen as of right now) and the new skin owns. Only problem is I can't do drum rolls, but that's not too big of a fault. Great app overall, definitely worth the two bucks (and probably worth more)

The sounds are great, the playability is fantastic, the format is simple and user friendly, works very well when playing along with the iPod, could do with the drums being a little louder when playing along with the iPod (damn apple being all stiff upper lipped!!) and would be good to have a floor tom on some of the kits also, look forward to more updates!!!
Don't waste your time with any other drum app, you wont get better than this!

Have had this for a couple of months now and love it. I plug my Touch into my speaker bar attached to my pc monitor that is not hooked up to my pc so it plays separately from the 5.1 speakers that are attached to my pc and fire up a tune on the pc and play along. I can spend a couple hours just drumming along to songs.The latest update makes this app 5+ stars. It fixed the issue with skipping beats (latency) and now allows for "slide" playing allowing for unbelievable drum rolls. I have my own drum set and am just an average player. I have to say this app is almost as much fun. If you just enjoy finger tapping to music get this app. You won't regret it.

The title explains it all, and most positive comments on this app are true. This program is innovative with its multiple patch selections (like Classic, Tight, Funky, and my favorite: FATBEAT), and convenient/comfortable handling. It only took me two minutes to get used to the play style. You can either place iTouch/iPhone on table and use all of your fingers or you can do what i do and hold the device between both hands while jamming out on the drums with my thumbs.
DONT get any other drum app because this can hold an actual steady beat! Some of the drum settings HAD a slight delay, but now all the bugs have been fixed and a smooth rhythm can be exhibited. If you want to start an iBand, then i recommend you get "DigiDrummer" if you're gonna be the John Bonham of your iZeppelin.

Wow! Man I absolutly love this app! I always enjoy showing this off to my friends, playing to my music, and just thinking up of different sounds whenever I'm bored! This has to be my most used app and I only keep the best of the best! That says alot! I also love how you guys are always updating this! It's great! My favorite app by far!A couple things I'd like to see in a future update:1. The ability to upload our own beats to our computer2. The ability to download other peoples beats that they uploadedThanks again for this amazing app and I'm looking forward to future updates! :)

Update 3.0 is amazing this app is now a pro app that can't be touched. the custom kit maker is simply amazing! I've tried and tested alot of drum apps for the iPhone but DigiDrummer is hands down the best drumming app available. 21 drum sets to choose from and low latency making drumming more accurate. For those having issues with sound maybe you should put your earphones on if you have an Ipod touch or re install the app! Overall this is a great drum app and a great tool for recording drum beats while on the go.

I have been playing with DigiDrummer for a while now and I must say that it is one of the best drum apps (if not THE best) that I've come across and I’m pretty sure I have them all!? The latency is great (responsiveness) and the sounds are very well produced.
I guess the best example of how good these apps are is that when I'm in the studio I sometimes plug my iPhone into the mixing desk and it takes a while before the rest of the band realise that I am not sat behind the drum kit ... I'm sat in the corner on the iPhone!? It certainly shows off how powerful this device is (or the iPod Touch) when using the right apps.
The other fun thing to do is jamming along with your favourite songs running in the background (via the iPod app). This is great but be aware that the volume on the drums are lower and as you can’t change the volume settings for the iPod app without it affecting the drums it is best used with an acoustic or acappella version of songs.

NOTE: if you do have any latency issues just reboot the device and this should fix it. The iPhone/iPod Touch can run low on memory which causes problems running apps like this.
Things I’d like in future updates:
1. The ability to slide from one pad to another – this can totally change how you play it!
2. A Drum and Bass kit to show off the latency at high speed!

Best drum app out

This is so far the only buck I've spent in the app store and it was well worth it. The interface and sound is great and it responds very well. It's so fun to play along with music when I can't use my real drums(although of would be nice if it could allow me equal out the volumes). I look forward to updates and hopefully it will get good enough to let me do more complicated drum techniques. Update:I've been loving all the updates and kits.I love the new black skin. The new drumroll feature is pretty sweet too. It allows me to make beats a lot more complicated.There is so much more. Even now as 2 dollars I'd reccomend this app even if you don't want a drum app!

This is by far the best music app in the store. No one comes close to "DigiDrummer". There are 25+ effects for your drum. You can customize your drums with color and the shape of the drums (square/ circles). Whenever I am bored I whip out this app and show off my skills. You can play to your tunes or create your own rock ANTHEMS! If I could I would give it 10/5 but I can't. Fun=5/5Playability=5/5Worth=5/5 Overall: 5/5!

i love the new beats!! i have 2 suggestions tho
1) a record function, not for the music you make but maybe to put in your own drum BEATS, like the "mouth music" if i was really good a beatboxing i could record my own beats so i can put them together on my ipod, or if i wanted to use household object to make a beat i could record them, then name my beat set and each beat, this would need some type of mic for itouch users.
2) more "real drum set"s, so far you only have the drum set for the "classic" beats.. but i'd love to see a turntable one and afew others

I love this app. If your wondering whether or not to get it, get it. Now that I've gotten passed that, I would like to suggest some ideas. First, a new drumkit. Maybe an octave of bells to get a tune with a beat. Second, a couple new app ideas. I was thinking digistrings. It could be similar to pocket guitar or like digidrummer. You already understand the first one and the second one could be digidrummer but with guitar sounds. The next would be digisinger. This one is pretty self explanitory. And finally digistudio. This one would access all of the recordings from each app and put them together to make songs. That's all I have to say so please take these ideas into consideration.

Omg this is easily my favorite app on the ipod touch/iphone! It's too bad apple will not allow the volume change idea but hey you guys are doing a great job on updating this app so very often! Just a few thing I would like to see are maybe like a field drum kit like seen in marching bands and also a ska drum set. It also would be awesome to be able to rearrange pads and mix and match kits as some people have suggested before. Thank you for your consideration! Keep up the amazing work

This is one of my most used applications. It's very easy to play and there are LOTS of different drum sets! There are different skins, from small drums to big, easy-to-press drums. You can record beats and set them to loop, you can save your beats and show them to your friends or have your friend play PocketGuitar while you play on your DigiDrummer. There are endless possibilities and the app is constantly upgraded. It is one of the most frequently updated apps I own, and I own over 200 apps. Definately deserves 5 stars.

ive tried multiple drum apps and this 1 beats the rest by far. Others arent very responsive, hard to hit the drum/cymbal u want, and can't record. this does all very well. as a drummer, i like to record beats. of course, it is challenging to make them with your fingers on an iphone/ipod instead of sitting on a drum throne with sticks. but this really is very addicting and i play it in class all the time!

This is hands down the best drumming app in the app store! I have never been this excited about an app before. I got it a few days ago and was drawn to statement about an update coming soon that would enable you to play along with your music. I also thought, I wonder how long that'll be. It was like a couple days and then, voilà! It was there. Went into the new version, jamming with my own tunes, and then thought wouldn't it be nice to adjust the volume. Then I came here to suggest it, and saw that that's exactly what's gonna be on the next update - due next week! I absolutely love it being a drummer but away at uni therefore away from my drum set. Keep the great updates coming! I love the idea of the fatty fingers version too. One suggestion: if it would be possible to reduce the lag from when you tap the screen to when the sound comes out, that'd be cool. I have a feeling that's not really possible though. Keep up the great work!

I downloaded the lite version first and I didn't even play with it for 2 minnutes and I wanted to buy the full version. Its really fun and allows you to be creative. I would recommend this app to anyone. What a great deal for just a buck 99! A cool feature about this app is that it allows you to overlap your compositions to create longer and more interesting beats. Plus you can play along with songs from your library.

I give this application 5 stars. It is amazing, i have downloaded and also bought quite a few drum applications as this is my only means of drums for my recordings. No other kit has the simple layout and ease of usage as this app. The only complaint i have is that when your playing back recordings and the Ipod goes into sleep mode(on the iTouch, not sure about other iPod models) the sound volume drops out. This can be a hassle if your trying to rerecord the beats for use elsewhere as the volume drops about half. That is my only complaint. And now with the new customizable sounds, this app truly is magnificent.
