The Absolute Best of All Time By: Neonraisin - Jan 20, 2009 Version: 1.6 Okay, at first, I was a bit flustered as to how this worked (don't know why cause it's quite simple), but after I got the hang of it, it was clear that this app is by far and away, to me, the most satisfying piano app around. There are several reasons for this. First of all, the selection is far better than Piano Man (I'm not even going to talk about Piano Song Universe which I don't enjoy at all); second, the arrangements of the included songs are lovely; third, the sound of the piano itself is lovely; and fourth, and most importantly, there is a satisfying learning curve that allows you to feel a sense of accomplishment. Outstanding app and one I will never grow tired of. Thank you Junpei.
I love it By: Feather 55 - Sep 22, 2009 Version: 2.0 I enjoyed the first version but found it a bit limited and some of the tunes were off tempo a bit. But playing them on your own that's not a problem. I am delighted with the new version and the expanded repertoire. The "HARD" pieces are a fun new challenge. One thing I wish you could fix -- make the touch screen a little more responsive. It's very hard to get two iPhones to start on the same beat. Also as the song list gets longer you'll need a search feature. I would pay more to get more songs.
Excellent By: Edmungel - 08-Feb-2009 Version: 1.7 U should add:Note names on the keysA minimap next to play and stop and stuffFree play mode needs to get rid of the place where the guide notes are, or replace it with another piano so u can see 2 parts at once. And if u hit the note on either side of the one your supposed to hit, it should go onto the next note anyway, so it doesn't entirely stuff u up.Those would make it perfect.Put free play mode at the top of the song list. It's really good though.
Excellent application with a great mix of music By: HeloCaptain - Nov 22, 2008 Version: 1.5 I am NOT a musician, but this is well worth the $3.00. To grewupinthe80s: Keep your preaching out of reviews. The solution to YOUR problem is simple: Don't listen to the "Jesus" music. There are many hymns that are simply beautiful, and the enjoyment of their beauty does not require any particular belief system. To the publishers: Please keep adding lovely new music, even if the origins of the music do happen to have a religious foundation.

Fun and entertaining (but tempo...) By: K.Jag - Nov 20, 2008 Version: 1.4 My dad and I both have an iPhone and itouch. I would play this app on his iPhone and enjoyed it, therefore I bought it myself. We like to duet with the right and left although find it rather difficult to keep the tempo with each other. Since niether of us are wonderful musicians, it would be nice to have the option of a timer for pauses between notes, I know the notes are longer but it's hard to distinguish how long. A metranome of some sort would help I suppose, anything really. Wonderful app though, keep finding random songs we never knew the name of. Good job :)

Pleasantly Surprised By: chick in paradise - Sep 6, 2009 Version: 1.7 This is nearly my favorite app. I love the songs (but wish there were more - how about Shanendoah?). I am nearly tone deaf and unable to play any instrument but it's fun to "play" this. I play for my friends while they try to guess what I am playing. It's really fun to play the piano and this makes it very easy. I like the layout and appearance as well. Not as complicated appearing as other piano apps. Great work!
Unique way to learn and have fun! By: Warito022 - Nov 14, 2008 Version: 1.4 I can't play the piano, but with the app I can. All of the existing instrument apps should take note of the functionality in this app. Gratz to the author and I hope he's able to continue enhancing it. I'd like funtionality to allow anyone to upload song sheets to his website and access the database of songs from this app in order to have tons of songs available for playing in the app. As a learning tool, the option to see finger positions as keys are pressed would be amazing. As someone who doesn't play piano, I can't imagine where to put my hands on a real keyboard for some sequences.
Love it!! By: Zoneguy007 - 5-Feb-2009 Version: 1.7 I have been playing piano for over 28 years! I really didn't expect this app actually more fun then I can expect! Sounds very great, even have expression and sustain depend how u touch the key! Another thing I like about this is it has a lot of notes to play, I was surprised by the songs it provide, not only some silly kids tunes but some amazing classical masterpieces that every pianos lovers will like! Althought songs are designed for single note, it still sounds nice and clear! I love it, love it, love it!!!

Just The Greatest!!! By: Runner46 - Nov 7, 2008 Version: 1.3 I can't play anything, don't have a clue how to read any music and even spent almost $300 on a casio keyboard that has the keys that light up to teach you a song but it just collects dust! This is different and the secret for me is just listening to the song play a few times and then playing just becomes a really fun game that fools people around you into thinking your some mad iPhone musical genius!! I LOVE this app and hope for future updates to be able to record my best efforts to share with others. I too hope for more music and maybe someday you could add a drum machine for different types of beats and music like on the Casio keyboards. Thank you again!
This is a great application! By: The balloon man - Nov 4, 2008 Version: 1.3 I started off with the MiniPiano but I decided to try the FingerPiano and boy was I surprised! I Love it! I'm not familiar with all the songs that you can choose from, but it is still one of the neatest applications Apple has Introduced so far. I highly recommend it to anyone of any age. I'm 60 years old and still like being a kid at heart and this one does just that! Get it, you will be amazed how well it sounds and I feel like I'm carrying my own portable Piano with me. Something neat to play with, especially with my grandchildren.
Awesome!!! By: Ciarab1969 - Mar 6, 2009 Version: 1.7 3/6/09
I've owned this app for about a year and I want to say this is an awesome app. I don't have any piano experience, but through owning and playing this app, I can actually play little tunes on the piano. I LOVE it so much!!! I really do and so does my husband. He musically inclined (plays the sax) and plays this all the time too.
The dev over the past year has added songs to the library at least twice. I think there may be at 150 songs or more to play. I have other apps similar to this one, but this one is the best by far. It sounds good too!
When my husbands birthday came around-I whipped out my ol' iPhone, started this app and played the Happy Birthday song for him as my kids sang the words. It was really cool, I've always wanted to play the piano and now I can a little and I'm getting better all the time! And that makes this app-PRICELESS!! Thanks DEVS!!!!!!!
Almost perfect... By: RSharma - Nov 30, 2008 Version: 1.5 Tried the MiniPiano and loved it. So I bought this. Great concept. I'm able to play music I never thought I could play thanks to the scrolling guides.
Needs thicker keys because it is sometimes difficult to press right on the key you're aiming for when you're playing fast.
In free play mode, why not allow rolling through the keys like with MiniPiano?
Would love some more famous music on here.
Brilliant application. Money well spent.
This could be a #1- 5 star app if.... By: I want my i.tv - Nov 23, 2008 Version: 1.5 I've really been enjoying this app quite alot! I love the classical pieces and also the Christmas tunes just added. However, there are a few items that could be improved on that might put this app over the top! (on my ipod, anyway) I'd love to see the songs listed in alphabetical order, add a settings menu with volume control, sustain, and maybe keyboard sound choices. Some of these songs would lend themselves well to a (pipe) organ or harpsichord. But my biggest want is for the keys to be larger or at least wider, please. But overall- great job- I look forward to each update!
Love it! By: PoPatrol - Nov 22, 2008 Version: 1.5 Great update! There is a free play mode with this new update. You can find it at the bottom of the menu list. O and the menu list is a much appreciated addition to the app!
It would be awesome if you could allow the piano keys to roll when I slide my finger across them like in the minipiano app. And I'd like for there be a better way to distinguish how long i should hold a note or rest. Other than that I love this app!
Cute, we love it By: spacebluebird - 05-Jan-2009 Version: 1.6 We love being able to tap out little tunes with our son. What would be great would be some more guides to some popular children's songs, Twinkle Twinkle and Happy Birthday are great, but how about Wheels on the bus? and Old MacDonald, kids love being able to sing along and it can really kill time on a long train journey or queue. Thinking about the utility here, how many people really want to pick out Pachelbel's Cannon in D on their right hand---probably using one finger? Not many. How many would like to have a fun singalong and teach their kids about music? Lots. I would definitely pay more for lots of children's tunes. Thanks!
Cool By: Stu_Ark - 03-Nov-2008 Version: 1.3 Good program, works well, and a little practice your off to a good start,
In a future update, it would be nice to have the option of notation on the keys as I play guitar and am learning music at the moment, and another thing would to be able to turn off playing the music scores and maybe full screen piano, I'd suggest a settings button at the top corner to toggle between this.
Great little program
Good but need improvement By: leonard_ong - Nov 16, 2008 Version: 1.4 This is an exciting application and I bought it after trying the mini piano. The YouTube demo convinced me to buy it. The tempo cue is missing/not accurate. For example, If i'm familiar with a song e.g. Fur Elise, I can control the tempo, but if not, It's impossible to get a right tempo looking at the bars only. Please improve for example by highlighting with different color when it's time to press the key.
Great app, but some glitch By: Desmond@Mobile - 05-Dec-2009 Version: 2.1 It was one of the very first app that I got for my iphone. Thanks to the large collection of musics come with the app, its really fun app to appreciate many classicial and popular musics. I enjoy playing it a lot even after 6 months. I noticed some problem after last update, and I couldn't play [HARD] songs properly any more. It seems to skip notes when I touch 2 notes together. Hope developer can fix it, otherwise it's really enjoyable playing.
