I Am T-Pain users have already created over 11.2 million Auto-Tuned recordings using the App! --------------------- “It’s Auto-Tune on the iPhone” – Pleasure P “Very cool app” – Ellen DeGeneres "What Smule has done here is technically incredible - and it’s a friggin’ killer product idea, to boot” – MobileCrunch “Yo, this is gonna be a smash” – Akon “Holy crap is it awesome” – Gizmodo “Shawty got that super thing” – Sean Kingston “It couldn’t be more simple or more irresistible” – Entertainment Weekly “I am T-Pain” – T-Pain --------------------- Ever wondered how your own voice sounds Auto-Tuned? I Am T-Pain gives you Auto-Tune in the palm of your hand, using the same audio technology T-Pain himself uses in the studio to record his music. Launch the I Am T-Pain app, select your favorite track, and just sing into the Mic on your iPhone. I Am T-Pain will record your new song. Then, with a single button, share your song over email, Facebook, or MySpace. You can also select the Freestyle option and use Auto-Tune for singing without companion tracks. Use this option if you simply want to send someone an Auto-Tuned greeting over email (Shawwttay!). • The application bundles several of T-Pain’s top songs including Bartender and I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper), complete with lyrics, integrated Auto-Tune settings, and timings. • The App also bundles six previously unreleased T-Pain original beats, and three holiday classics to usher in the holidays Santa-Pain style. • Additional songs including On A Boat, Buy U A Drank, and Good Life can be purchased within the App. • Update 1.1 has been approved! Use Auto-Tune with your existing iTunes library (OS 3.1 recommended). http://iamtpain.smule.com/ features top Auto-Tuned performances around the world, based on the amount of "Love" your songs receive on Facebook or MySpace. We recommend using the headphones with the integrated microphone that came bundled with your iPhone (required for first gen iPhone and iPod touch). You can also plug your iPhone into external speakers, amplifying your Auto-Tuned voice and tracks for all to hear. We've found OS 3.1 works much better for loading your iTunes library. Any questions? Write support@smule.com. Check out the I'm On A Boat contest featuring Auto-Tuned performances with a grand prize of $5,000: http://iamtpain.smule.com/contest/

Reviews:
Almost perfect... By: TyCoat - Oct 6, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 This app is definately my favorite app, and is an outstanding application by all means! But I have to be picky and point out a few bugs that would make it perfect:
1. Fix crashing problems
2. Allow scrolling through a recorded song.
3.fix the occasional and ever so random mic timing out/stopping the autotuneing and making your singing all
Static(y)
4. And last make your singing show up above the song instead of it sounding mummbing. Like it does this occasionaly but other times it is fine. It changes depending on the updated version it seems like.
But overall the best app ever!!! Definately worth 1 or 3 bucks!
And Now I can officially say," I AM T-PAIN"!!! ;)
Misleading at first... But... Do it with autotune! By: Theorem - Oct 16, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 So I bought the app, started it up, and then started talking. Sounded TOTALLY LAME through the headphones, but when you save it and play it back.... DAMN!!!! I can see me wasting WAY too much time on this app. Need to make a store list? Do it with an autotune. Have a good idea and don't want to forget about it? Do it with the autotune. Wanna really mess with your cat? Do it with autotune. Shaaawtie!
Surprisingly good auto tune By: ranglooper - Sep 4, 2009 Version: 1.0 It's definitely a funny app, but the programming behind it is really spectacular. I'm a musician and I'm now using this app on stage as a novelty at my gig. I can plug the iphone audio out into my PA, turn the volume down on my iphone with the app running when I'm not using the auto tune/iphone as my mic (to avoid feedback loops and weird unwanted auto-tune effects when I'm not going for that), and turn the volume up on the iphone and sing into the phone when I want the auto-tune effect. It works amazingly well and it's a cool novelty for perfomance. Thanks antares! Well worth the 3 bucks.

So much fun! By: Orange27 - Oct 14, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I saw a video about this online and had to try it out!! It works amazingly! It is so much fun!! I love that you don't have to use the lyrics provided if you don't want to-- even if you don't like rap - it makes for a fun made up song of anything you want, or you can sing along with the words on the screen! Don't let the price intimidate you (I usually don't go for paid apps- as I'm usually disappointed with them) this $2.99 is the best money I've spent all month! Awesome job with this app guys!!
I have't laughed so hard in my entire life By: jonahgrant - Oct 4, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Rarely do any revolutionary and extremely fun applications come around for any platform (iPod, computer, PS2/3, Xbox, etc) but without a doubt I am T-Pain is one of them. I litereally spent hours playing with this. Don't listen to the one star reviews saying that it is not worth it. They just don't want such an excellent application in the top 10. And at $.99 it's not even worth debating on buying it. I am T-Pain is the one app to rule your iPhone.
Well worth the money By: smokey1985 - Oct 4, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Autotune kicks butt, regardless of wether one like tpains music style or not, autotune kicks butt. All you people who say it doesn't work are way off... I suggest sending an email over to their support people with your issues, they were super helpful. Chances are if the autotune effect is not working, its cause one is talking not singing. Gotta sing for autotune to work! And for all of you people who claim it doesn't work, how is it possible that it works for 95% of people and just not for you? I suggest doing some reading and some troubleshooting before assuming its a broken app. App works great, and just a couple things need some fine tuning, but its a great buy either way and definitely well worth the money. All you people complaining about $3 need to grow up... $3 is less then the price of a starbucks coffee.... grow up people. Good job people!
This app is like a dream to me By: SirSir - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 1.0 I can write and record my own lyirics to t-pain beats or some other insrrumentals. Also yu can send yur songs to myspace. Now das sick. Wuh studio can yu get in and record in for unlimited time and only pay 2.99. Im following my dreams to become a new producer and artist. I wish i could contact yu jus to say how much i appreciate this opportunity to record music.
Dopeness. By: Dizzy714 - Sep 6, 2009 Version: 1.0 To the dude that said "this app is for groupies" - it isn't made for groupies if it's powered by Antares (maker of auto-tune), it's the real deal. Suggestions though: 1) Be able to import files from your phone (I have 800 beats in my phone, so this would def. be useful). 2) Activate the slider so you can fast forward/rewind. 3) Be able to adjust the retune speed like in auto-tune. 5) Be able to actually email the MP3 to your email address, not just a link to play the file on your website with no downloadable option. 4) Maybe make a multi-track recorder built in the App (for an extra charge of course). That's all I could really think of right now while I'm on the pot droppin' a deuce.
I AM T-PAIN By: TAL1BAN_DAN - Sep 4, 2009 Version: 1.0 I saw this app on gizmodo and thought the autotune feature was gonna be crap, I was wrong, it's freakin' awesome!! I sound nothing like T-PAIN but I can have the autotune feature and sound like a retarded T-PAIN. I guess I need to find a scale that suits me but you have alot of flexibilty and control on how you voice sounds. Trust me, you won't like the way it sounds when you have headphones and sing, but when you play it back, you'll be in tune and won't sound like a retarded T-PAIN. This is a badass app and highly recomend it to anyone. (I'm sure I misspelled something)

Great App with minor flaw By: AppReviewer - Sep 19, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 This app is amazing! To have Antares Auto-Tune for $3 is awesome! I have enjoyed many hours of random singing into the app and it never gets dull. One issue I do have is that when I switch on the T-Pain switch when in freestyle, my voice doesn't change. It changes for everything else (different keys, the T-Pain effect during songs), but it just won't seem to work when I try to freestyle with that switch on. Hopefully I'm not the only one. Tried restarting/uninstall-reinstall/force quit-reopen but nothing seems to fix this. Other than this minor flaw, the app is everything I expected and more. Keep up the work Smule!!
Update:
The newest patch has fixed these issues making this app amazing now. Great job Smule! Can't wait to see what's ahead!
I AM T-PAIN! It's worth the 3 bucks! By: Hrshycro - Sep 4, 2009 Version: 1.0 I normally won't buy any apps that actually cost money. This is the 3rd one out of 6 pages worth of apps that's I've bought over the last 2 months.
It's totally worth the money. It's a wry well built app and the autotune is very cool, even though it doesn't seem to really work that well with my voice. Hah. :(
Anyhow, 5 stars all the way and I hope Smule finds want of making this app even better!
-Hershey
It's everything you want it to be. By: Doc Cee-Rock - Sep 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 I Am T-Pain is, hands down, the best purchase I've ever made from the app store. I have worked with Antares auto tune before and I was floored by how flawlessly and elegantly it runs on the iPhone. The interface is stylish, if a litle clunky, the sharing options are robust and powerful, and the karaoke mode is slick as hell. Don't listen to naysayers, I've been going nuts with this app and I haven't encountered a single bug or glitch. It's as close to a "perfect" music app as you'll ever get this side of Intua Beatmaker. A real landmark achievement.
This is the reason the iPhone is and will remain a revolutionary device! By: Beyond the Tech - Sep 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app provides so much personal and group entertainment, hilarity (when needed), and yet serious functionality when I'm on my own singing and coming up with new material. I am truly inspired to rekindle my love for singing. Only a device as powerful as the iPhone could pull off Auto-Tune technology. My only wish (not really a complaint) is that you can't select music from your iPhone/iPod touch. While I understand they have included beats and the ability to in-app purchase more tracks, it would be really fun as a musician to sing along to your own uploaded music (a la GarageBand) as well as sing along to other songs, not related to T-Pain (no offense, of course!). Make this happen, please!
Hours of fun!! By: TPain Medication - Sep 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is exactly what it says it is. If you can't carry a tune you are not going to sound exactly like T Pain but it is still a blast regardless. It would be super cool to be able to turn your songs into ring tones at some point. It would also be nice to have a larger variety of songs as well. My (top) hat is off to T Pain and Smule for coming up with such a great (and I'm sure extremely profitable) app!
This is awesome By: Mjc The Young Parody Kid - Sep 21, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 When i first saw T-pain was releasing autotune for the Ipod and Iphone i was mad happy. I myself use autotune to record my parodies and raps so i can tell this app is gonna be mad fun not only can you sing infront of your friends and show off your skills now you can sing live without worring about sounding bad....can't wait for my ipod touch to come in this week so i can test it out......But from what i saw its def gonna be a smash 5 stars and two thumbs up to you T-pain
Great Value By: NemesisMC - Sep 21, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 This is one of those rare apps where u just go. 3 dollars for autotune... Portable... Wow. Imagine buying this for your studio. Sure functionality would be vastly improved. But it's gonna hit ur wallet 25x harder and it's not nearly as conveniant or intuitive. This apps straight balla. A real real autotune app that was free to be used on top of iPod built in app ect would be the best thing to happenTo app store. But until that day for 2.99 u can't even complain.
Everybody Else By: I want KMEL - Sep 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is the first app I've purchased. And I've had all iPhones. Pain, why didn't I win the Everybody Else contest? - Santo Valentino
-EDIT*
The songs that are promoted in the video aren't included!!! You have to buy them! Also I'm VERY IRRITATED that the makers upload your recordings to their website! I did NOT agree to that! I bought this to support T-Pain not to let the makers "allow to know my location"
This app is definitely what's up By: Joshuafeet - Sep 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 I don't really listen to T Pain's music, but this app is fun as hell to mess around with. Is it just me, or is anyone elses extra music take a little longer than normal to download? I'm on a wifi connection and everything else is nice and fast. The extra songs just take a while. It's not even a big deal. This app is DEFINITELY worth the measly $3. Antares Audio Technologies charges $400 to get autotune on your computer, so this is definitely worth it.
