Reviews:
Excellent app over wifi & 3G By: Oscar F. - Aug 22, 2009 Version: 2.1 To all the people low-ranking it because the music stops when closing the app, that's a limitation imposed by Apple. No third party app can run in the background so stop asking for it in an update. To delete favorites, just swipe across in standard iPhone fashion and a delete button will appear. Missing calls & txts? You need to be on either 3G or WiFi. EDGE doesn't allow data & voice at the same time. Obviously you need WiFi to listen on an iPod Touch as there's no built-in radio. And it's iPod Touch, not iTouch.
Buffering fixed? By: RhythmMan - May 28, 2009 Version: 2.1 [update]
I've been using the app and it's working again. Hopefully clear channel fixed it. No crashes and very fast load time over 3g. Added a 5th star like I promised since it has worked for a month...will drop score if problems return.
[previous sarcastic review]
This is the best buffering app ever!
Endless hours of buffering, I can't get enough. I stare at my iPhone all day and am impressed how "buffering" never goes away. Amazing!! Thanks Clear Channel, your buffering app rocks!!
I recommend this app to everyone who likes endless buffering, and finds it annoying when music rudely interrupts your buffering experience!
App is solid, great app! By: Luke1robb - Dec 21, 2008 Version: 2.1 This app is awesome, I originally had a problem with it due to JAMN 94.5 not being on there, but Clear Channel has clearly looked at the feedback and seen it was wanted. Not only is this app a great one for what it says it does, but the company looks at the feedback, so if you're favorite station isn't on here from Clear Channel, make sure to leave feedback saying that. The only thing I criticize Clear Channel for on this is that they don't have a direct email listed anywhere where you can email someone with feedback. Come on Clear Channel, get on that.
Great program By: Texas76541 - Sep 7, 2009 Version: 2.2 I would have given it a five, but there is only one problem with it. I have had this app on my B.B for over two years now I have it on my iPhone, it's a great program. The only the I wish they would fix is that when you are playing it you can not go to other things on your phone, if you do it turns off. I does turn off if you get a call instead on pause. Very little issues, it's still a great great program.
Works great for me By: DaBigKahuna - Nov 2, 2008 Version: 1.0 Don't know why some people can't get it to work as I had no problem. And while it is fine to request stations, I see little reason to complain because it doesn't have a particular one you want - have you considered how big a list that would require???!!! I only have one wish so far and that is the ability to remove stations from the list. I only need a few of them. Should be an option to hide any, but also to go back to a list of those hidden and add them back if you wish. Oh, and it would be nice to be able to use other applications while this is running, but maybe that isn't possible.
Great app, plus fixit tips By: SDellJunior - Mar 4, 2009 Version: 2.1 This is a great app and the price tag is nice (free). I particularly like the Smooth Jazz station. For the reviews about wi-fi: it seems to work fine over 3G on my iPhone. For the crash issue: I did a soft reset of my phone after I installed the app and it seems to work much better now (hasn't crashed since, fingers crossed). Overall, I'd say that for a free app this is exceptional with good selections of music and stations. I give it 5 stars.
Great Little App By: FelliFel - Oct 22, 2008 Version: 1.0 I'm from MN and have been looking EVERYWHERE to find an app that plays AM radio so I could listen to KFAN and this works great, it was a hidden gem. I know there isn't a lot of stations to choose from but ClearChannel owns a lot of stations a so I would imagine if this gets a lot of downloads and good reviews more will be added so don't just write it off!! And give it more than 1 star reviews because it is definitley worth it!
Jus wat iHearted to find By: Check meyou zcat - Aug 9, 2009 Version: 2.1 I listen to KFI in the radio just about every day in the car over the radio and when I heard about this app I was very interested. Much joy when after a quick free download I quickly opened up and found KFI button and behold current feed. Okay, so I found other good local stations and some from back home and have had great response with the wifi, I don't have 3g style, old fashioned going strong. Everything I was expecting, but a little quicker that I thought it would be to tune in. Obviously worth a download to see if it meets your expectations.
Awesome By: Gamebeast - Oct 4, 2009 Version: 2.2 Love it,not only the best local stations, but as a plus radio from any state, omg, awesome and tells u song names and artists for those song u have no clue who's singing.if your tired of ur pod music and wanna change it up a bit this app iz perfect 4 u..def.on my top 5 favz..this one a must download & it's free..WHAT!! LOL..thanxxx
I love this app By: Russelljc3737 - Oct 31, 2008 Version: 1.0 This app is GREAT! It does everything it promises. It even streams music when I turn off the screen. I do have one suggestion for the developers; give us the ability to hide radio stations. There are several of the radio stations I like to be able to hide from the main list that I can't. One way to do this might be to have different radio station lists, for example: have a list for country, pop, rock, rap, talk, sports, news, and so on. Maybe also add the ability to create a custom list. Thanks for the app, and keep up the good work.

Fantastic By: Z71 Silvy - Sep 2, 2009 Version: 2.2 This is truly an epic app. There were a few bugs...but overall it's very well laid out and it works great.
Now, yes, I will admit that not all of my local stations are represented...but that is not the fault of the app.
Although I will advise that this app could truly get some recognition if it carried the station with the best morning show in the nation...the KQ92 morning show from 92.5 KQRS out of the Twin Cities.
That would be app perfection.
Finally I can give it 5 stars By: SCHESBH - Sep 1, 2009 Version: 2.2 My original review us at the bottom. I just downloaded the latest version. WOW. Auto play your favorite station on startup. Love it!
Johnjay & Rich on Arizona's KISSFM Phoenix Station is now available on iheartradio! I have been waiting months to be able to stream their show anywhere I am. Thank you for adding them to the list...now if we can also get their other stations on it would be perfect! Z100 Portland, 93.7 KRQ Tucson, 99.9 Colorado Springs and KISSFM Fort Collins!
Great app, works well and used daily!
Excellent for a 1.0 App By: Omicronpersei - Oct 29, 2008 Version: 1.0 Great release for a version 1.0 app. No issues crashing at all here. Song title, album art, and lyrics; how can you lose? The only thing I could ask is the stations to buffer ahead more to help counteract the variations in the data network when driving and moving about. The sound quality is good, and it has KIIS, KFI and Smooth Jazz. Smooth Jazz isn't 94.7 The Wave, even though they also call the station "Smooth Jazz." Not a Clear Channel station so we won't be seeing it in this app unfortunately. The smooth jazz on here is still pretty good though. People, stop rating it down for not including Power 106. Yes, we all like it! But it is not a Clear Channel station (Same situation as The Wave)! So I HIGHLY doubt it will end up in this app. I think people are failing to make the connection between the app dev and the owner of all of the stations it has available to listen to. There are still a lot of good stations, and this is the best internet radio app I have come across yet, and the first one I am satisified with. No more repeat oldies on Pandora.
pros and cons By: greeneyedgirl65 - Nov 29, 2009 Version: 2.2 Pros- the radio part works great the reception is great too. Con- when you are in an area where you do not receive or have any wifi then the radio does not work at all. Unlike cell phones that have a radio in it they work all the time no matter where you are. So that is the down fall. Whats the purpose if when you travel there is not wifi capability every single place you go? If you are at home you can use your own radio.
Try 94 HJY. By: coldsteele - Aug 25, 2009 Version: 2.1 If you're into classic rock, new rock, and alternative try this station. Best djs. Hilarious skits, Jen is really hot (not that you can see her) Charles is hilarious because he smokes weed everyday (of course that makes for a good dj) and the morning show!! Paul and Al!! Omg I listen to them every morning. I've tried alot of the other rock and classic rock stations and none can compete. 94.1 WHJY out of providence RI. Worst thing is the stimulex commercials... Nobody wants to hear that lol. Give it a listen!! You won't regret it! -Alex Steele
On cloud 9 with this app!! By: Touchmaster69 - Apr 1, 2009 Version: 2.1 I've been looking for an app with hot 92.3 slow jams for LA forever now!! And I finaly found it!! Now I listen to the art laboe show almost 24/7 I listen to it in my car my house when I work out and when I sleep! I fuqqen love this app!! I highly recomend for any one who has a passion for music! Theirs countless stations for almost every major city i've ever heard of and the quality is phenomenal! And the best thing is that it's F.R.E.E!!!!!! U can't go wrong! So get it get it get it NOW!
Add a search station function and more better ability to pick up more local stations please Thanks-
Excellent app over wifi & 3G By: Oscar F. - Aug 22, 2009 Version: 2.1 To all the people low-ranking it because the music stops when closing the app, that's a limitation imposed by Apple. WOW By: bayareatech - May 2, 2009 Version: 2.1 Just what I was looking for, an app that actually plays radio stations. It plays 2 of my fav stations from the SF area, that's all I need since that's all I listen to. GREAT APP.. Hopefully a couple more bay area stations make it on here that would be great, for the mean while I have stations from other cities that play what I listen to. If I had to pay for this app I would since near travis air force base I get zip-nada- nothing- no reception for bay area or sac stations, THNX A MILION for this app
If you need only ONE reason to download this app... By: R36 #9346 - Dec 6, 2008 Version: 1.1 It's the Elvis Duran Channel. Elvis Duran's morning show is on all day long. Since Z100 is basically the only radio station I listen to these days, this app is good for listening to Z100... or Elvis Duran... especially when Elvis Duran is on Z100. If you have an iPhone, you can use 3G or Edge to listen to the streams on the go, but it can be a bit of a drain on the battery. Still, with my favorite radio station, AND my favorite morning show on a continuous loop, this is a 5-star app. If your favorite radio station is owned by Clear Channel, it works as an adequte substitute for a dock-connecting radio accessory (like Apple's Radio Remote, which only works with the click wheel iPods with video capability).
I left my heart in San Francisco - Please add the S.F. Bay Area to your list! By: Jeremy Basto, DJ X - Oct 27, 2008 Version: 1.0 Since this is clearly a Clear Channel link. I believe Clear Channel should add ALL their stations availabilty to the iPhone / iTouch subscribers and or fan base.
I am from the S.F Bay Area and Clear Channel has 94.9, 106.1, 101.3 and a couple of stations that broke out many artists who now are heard world wide.
Please add the S.F Bay Area to your radio stations line up as well as requests from your current listeners / subscribers.
I am a devouted DJ now living abroad and dependent on this link as well as internet stations to listen to stations from "back home".
Thanks for this great iPhone application. Like the iPhone I know that this application will also evolve!
Music is the universal language for all!
