THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is why I am even on the app store in the first place. This is fresh! By: CrispySneaks - Aug 5, 2008 Version: 1.01 Cheers to the dude that mentioned having turntables and wanting to rock them! if you suffer from a similar fiendish disposition then you are happy to see this even exist already.....please, and it is free? i can't believe so many people are pouring salt on this app. This is my first review, and just want to say thanks to the MixMeister developer(s) for such a jewel of an application...This my friends is what it is ALL about! Definitely could have a little more firepower, but this is a gift that DJ dreams are made of. Just think of the potential and possibilities! Quick Fix: - Volume of scratch initially set to zero (it is booming loud when first selected, and would be more smooth brought up from zero). Wish list: - Upload your own samples - Access to song list in iTunes - Pitch control (this would be next next level) - ?
Only in america By: Vdrumpro999 - Jul 29, 2009 Version: 1.2 Could a bunch of spoiled 10 year old wannabe dj's give 1 star ratings to this app for being imperfect. (ie the tards who think apple designs the apps) Backspin would be cool. That's my only 'wish' as in I WISH the dev would extend his massive generosity to add this... having already given this much of his time to us for nothing (but grief.)'waste of time' these comments make me laugh the most. WTF is your life so busy that the 2 min you took to play caused you major harm? You want a refund of your 2min? Pathetic dweebs... My kid was scratching up a storm over 'the lightbox' podcast, amusing both himself and us. Dev, you should have charged $1 from the beginning to keep the 1 star review trolls away. Thanks for the freebie!

Cool, but....... By: TheFatCat - Dec 16, 2008 Version: 1.01 It's a good....if you can figure out how to use it. It also needs more scratch sample that you can use. Now to scratch with one of your own songs... What you do is go to settings and set "iPod" as the default for when you double click the home button. Then select a song. Hit the home button. The song should still be playing. Then start the scratch app. While the MixMeister Scratch logo is still on the screen double click the home button. This should display a window that says the song name and have a play button, etc. Hit "close". The song should continue to play and you can scratch the heck out of it.
Excellent Fun App By: Gadgetman - Jul 27, 2008 Version: 1.01 I have found this app fun and entertaining. I see a lot of negative reviews and those who wrote never gave the developer a chance. It is only a 1.0 version and these expect a whole lot. Like they are entiled to something. This app is free and I did not expect a lot. Developer keep of the good work. For those who like negativity, write your own app and let's see what your reviews look like.
does what it says... well By: msninina - Jul 25, 2008 Version: 1.0 it does what it says. it does it well. you can pick from a variety of beats to scratch, and you CAN scratch with your own tunes. don't know why people were saying you can't. just simply start the song you wish to scratch to, and then open the app. it asks you what beat you'd like to use and then you can mix away. nice ui too. 4 stars because it could use more beats, and maybe be able to mix multiple of your own songs from your iPod? idk. room for improvement but it's great the way it is. if you're interested in scratching, you should check this one out. peace
Sorry to all those pro DJ's that were hoping for so much more from a free app!!!! By: Strizzy - 15-Aug-2008 Version: 1.01 Are you guys serious???? This is a free app meant to be fun!!! I personally think its very fun and enjoyable. To bad to all those who were hoping to be able to rock a crowd at their favorite club with a free iPhone app. Gimme a break!!!!! Plus I don't know if you realize it but you can turn on your ipod and play your own music. You just have to pause the samples that the app gives you and scratch over your ipod playlist. Very fun to show to your friends!!!!
Pls add more sound effects! By: Sriracha33 - Mar 28, 2009 Version: 1.2 Very entertaining especially if you've always wanted to try scratching. It would be great if u guys could add some more samples (add some popular break beat samples or maybe James brown, rakim, michael Jackson, biggie etc.). People hesitant should just check it out and give it a chance. Pretty easy to pick up but harder to get it to sound good. The clock/timer is especially useful for timing certain sounds. And the touchpad responsiveness is a tad bit late. But overall a great start!
Not serious.. but seriously entertaining By: BatMan37_420 - Feb 21, 2009 Version: 1.2 I can't yet afford a set of actual ipod docked digital turn tables like i one day hope to. and this isn't equivilent to that. but its great fun. anyone who's hating needs to stop. Sure its not a serious dj app and while it would be nice to scratch your itunes. . its just a free app. if yall ever design that tho. . i'd pay money for it. As it stands however . . .it's incredibly fun to play around on. nice to mix a beat(that can be scratched) with one of my intunes (beethoven works good with a hip hop drum beat). . . my only beef with the entire thing is that u cant change beats during scratching. it'd be nice to have a drop down window that would allow u to change the beats on the fly and sometimes the volume slider doesn't always respond to touch, please make it a tad more sensitive.
