I've always love Shazam and was wondering when they'd start provide more to do in the app. The recommendations and tag charts are very cool, and I like the new UI. I've read some other reviews and don't understand the complaints about ads. Ads are everywhere on the net and I'd expect they'll be here to stay on mobile... even if we pay. I paid for the premium service for the additional features of the app and because I love Shazam.

отличная программа , иногда определяет даже русских исполнителей и песни. Очень удобно пользоваться в машине, понравилась песня , определил кто, домой пришел или в магазин и посмотрел в памяти телефона.)))) . По gprs ищет быстро.
Пробывал определять одну песню одного исполнителя но с двух разных альбомов, так она показала два разных альбома. мне понравилось.
Nothing Ground-breaking

Keep getting a "Sorry, your music can't be tagged. It might be a connection issue. Please check your network settings." message. I've got full reception bars and even tried it on wifi, but it still doesn't work. I can't really review the other supposed "new" features in this paid version yet, but I would hold off on buying this until they get this issue fixed.
**UPDATE**:
After uninstalling it last night when it wouldn't work, I gave it another shot just now. This time, unlike the first many times, it gives me an option to "Activate" the application, and subsequently the tagging worked. With regards to this "updated version", there's nothing ground-breaking. As it was before, when completely free, the Shazam search/database is really good (significantly better than Midomi), and the app seems to pick up on music much more easily (Midomi is more finicky and unreliable). The new features which include a search function and chart of songs (linked to the Shazam database) are largely irrelevant to most users, who simply use this app simply to determine the title/artist of a song. The actual search function is not really improved- as before, it's quite accurate and reliable, and it's fast enough (~20 seconds total from listen to match).
At the end of the day, I think we just have to acknowledge the obvious: this is the same as the old Shazam... except not free. The makers wanted money, and so they made it a pay app, trying to soften some of the inevitable critcism by adding bogus "new" features.
I love the app, and I think it's great at what it does, however, and so I'll only take one star off for the lack of true improvement.

I love this app. I've been using the free version since it first appeared. I am more than happy to pay to get a few extra features (i would have payed for it anyway). Unfortunately I can't give it 5 stars as the free version has occaisionally crashed and so far, so has this payed version (even without any tags only minutes after I installed it).
Email support was prompt and extremely helpful. Keep up the good work.

I usually don't buy apps, but because Shazam is one of my favorite apps, I bought this one. Wow. Not regretting this one. I'm pretty impressed how they topped their own product.

I've used the free shazam since the first iphone and only a hand full of times it hasn't found a song title. It even found a track that was playing as background music in a busy hall whilst over a hundred people were chatting, this software is a must have!
Decided to go with this version to show some support for a consistenly brilliant free app.
