helpful app, could still use a few tweaks By: Bob(OH) - Aug 25, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is a very helpful app for the new student or visitor trying to find a particular building on campus. For KSU, I was disappointed that only the Kent campus was included (out of KSU's 8 campuses), yet the app has a "Campus" button to select from multiple campuses. The highlight of the app is the list of Buildings, which is integrated with an in-app satellite view -- select some buildings, choose Map, and see your current location and pushpins for the selected buildings. However, auto-zooming the map would be very helpful, since it currently shows the entire city for default, forcing the user to zoom in. How about auto-zooming to show only the current location and selected buildings, similar to Google maps? And for Select All, show only my immediate vicinity, which would be perfect for identifying buildings close to my current location? Another highlight is the integration with Google Maps -- select the pushpin for a building, and you get options to route via Google Map's walking, driving, or public transportation directions. However, getting to the directions is overly complicated -- select the building, wait for the in-app map to load, click on the pushpin, select the type of routing, and then finally see the directions. A "route" button on the building list is sorely needed! One last suggestion: while the list of buildings is very, very helpful, it would also be helpful to include departments. While I might guess that Computer Science is in the Math and Computer Science Building, I'd be hard pressed to guess that Nursing is in Henderson.
