This application works really well for iPhone (3.0.1). and iPod seems to play just fine at the same time. Start iPod first then switch to Winkango. However, one suggestion for the developers is for iPod to resume playing after a Wikango verbal warning has sounded. For the moment even when the warning clears, the iPod does not resume (which it does after finishing an incoming ohone call for example...) Otherwise, really well done: 5 stars to compensate for odd low scores of v 1.1. Get this app FREE while you can. The equivalent stand-alone hardware from the same company retails for 150€, so this is a steal! You have nothing to loose! [ You can even learn some French! ;-) ]

Best speedcam app I have found so far. 100 percent accurate to date and free as well! Highly recommended
I thought the measurements were in French as well, but as soon as you pass your first camera they change to MPH and then stay that way whenever you are moving.
Today, I passed a possible mobile site and the camera van was exactly where indicated, saving me some points, as I had just sped up after a camera!

I got this app when it was version 1.0 and it had French (I think) labels and wasn't very clear. The two updates I have received for Wikango have been fantastic. The interface looks better, it's easier to report cameras and everything is in English. The App will get even better as more people in Australia start using it and reporting cameras. I see some people have rated the program poorly but it's free and a he'll of a lot more effective than many of the paid Apps for this purpose.

The description is in french, but the app is in english. It works well so far, tried in Sydney, it gave warnings for both fixed speed and redlight cams (u can also add cameras to the public database with a button push), albeit some of the warnings werent very far in advance. The warning sound could be louder though. The speed indicater is as accurate as any other app on iphone so far (ie. not very). Overall its a useful app and i will be using it in the future.

This is good free application for iphone. I’m using it from the first version. The first alert is in French but switch right after to English lady voice, so don’t worry for people who tough that was in French.

Converts to mph as soon as I set off.Excellent verbal notification indicates camera speed meaning you don't have to look at the screen at all.Just wish I could adjust the warning from 500m to 300m,maybe available in an update? Great app & worth money.

The measurements and warnings (non verbal) are in French. The units change to MPH as soon as you go past the first site as someone else has pointed out. This is a really good app, with the great ability to be updated by us. Highly recommended.

100% accurate on my journey today and free to boot. The interface menu for adding is in French but commands and vocals english. Changes to mph past 1st camera. Great little app

try it in spore, well locate speed and radar cameras, but speed indicator are not so acculate.
if could improve on the speed acc, will perfect

The test speech is in French; no option to choose MPH instead of km/h; not sure if this app supports Push?
Please, PLEASE come out with a version to:
1. Choose what language you want (perhaps individual downloads for each language or add-on packs so as to make the installs smaller?)
2. OPTION TO CHOOSE MPH or km/h!
3. The "LIVE speed camera exchange" asks you to "choose the camera direction"; the app should detect if it's on an iPhone 3Gs and automatically choose the direction based on that (as users will normally see a speed camera they're passing, thus the direction should be set automatically.) Maybe an option to over-ride the direction manually IF the user chooses.

on my 3gs its proving flakey. The speed display mysteriously drops to zero without good reason. Perhaps it loses GPS? I get no sounds out of the program at all. But the most annoying thing is that sometimes when i plug into the car charger, it tells me that I have the French version and recommends downloading the English one. When I click Download the download invariably fails. Weird. I like the share warnings feature. Agree with other comments about desireablilty of being able to run in background.

Works really well except I seem to be stuck in kph and can't switch to mph. Would also be nice to be able to listen to the iPod whilst in use. Not really much to gripe about as it works well. Hopefully my woe's will be satisfied with the next update :-)

Installed the app but every time started the app it just kept saying updating didn't like it deleting after writing the review the only reason gave two stars for nice try by author.

Disappearing Act!

No matter what I do, Wikango, refuses to stay in my iPhine 3G, with software v. 3.0 installed. After installing Wikango, and after rebooting or my iPhone's battery goes dead, Wikango disappears and I have to reinstall Wikango, all over again. I've had to reinstall this app many times. PLEASE fix this. I've written ur website about this and other problems mentioned below. Please fix & I would appreciate a reply, which I have requested on ur website before, but I haven't ever gotten one. Your "Warning"/disclaimer page stays up waaay too long. Please put a Disclaimer button for those that want to see it every time they open the program or only leave it up for a few seconds. It is annoying! For those that keep asking for a way to change from kl/h to mph, it changes automatically, at least for me. I assume it's done automatically by the GPS position. So I see no reason for those of you that asks for the option. When I come to a STOP at an intersection and it has redlight cameras, I touch the screen while at a STOP to add the intersection, but the screen doesn't change when I am at a STOP and I have to wait for another time or day to add the intersection. Please fix this, SOON. I don't understand why I've got to add all 4 directions for EVERY intersection, since an intersection always has cameras in all 4 directions. So if I was able to touch the iPhone 3G screen while at a dead stop and have the screen change so I can add an intersection that has red light cameras, I should only need to add an intersection once so no matter which direction I approach the intersection, I will be Warned. Please fix this! There is at least 3 intersections I've added and when returning to those intersections, I am not Warned! I've added these a number of times and I'm still not Warned. Please explain. Once in a while I will take the steps to add an intersection and I'm informed it was not added. What's with this? If anyone else is having any of these problems, PLEASE REPORT THEM. Thanks! Fix these problems and Wikango will be a  app and my most used. Up to now I can only give it .
