this is a great app. I find myself on it at least twice a day. very interesting to see and hear other opions on everything from politics to other area events. there are a few post here and there that shouldn't be but for the most part very well done by those that post one feature that should be added is the ability to save a photo to your phone from a post this option isn't available and it should be. but other than that I love this app. absolutely one of the bear free apps out there.

I thought that the Fox app was something like this, but it ended up being pretty lame.
This, on the other hand, is amazing. It's news from the point of view of the people who just read the news. I obviously wouldn't call it a "trusted source," but it's interesting to no end.
Even the pointless articles are interesting. Some are so random they kind of remind me of The Onion, in a good way.

This is a great app for sending content to CBS. It's really neat to see everyone’s submissions in the Recent Reports list. I realize that not every user likes to see all of the content people are sending to CBS News, but I feel like I am getting the purest possible view of the stories as they are unfolding. I just think It’s really cool to get the first look at what people are posting. Of course, some of the uploads were never really meant for broadcast, but there are also a lot of well thought out stories and videos popping up all the time. Oh yeah, I totally love the slider too! Nice App!

After a bit of use, I dig it. You can join as a 'journalist' and submit your own news stories. It allows you to either upload a picture you already have in your photo roll or take a new one that will be added to your photo roll. I noticed uploads seemed pretty fast, even on edge. You can then look at other 'journalists' reports. If only you could take video with the iPhone, Apple needs to get on top of that. There are some cool videos you can watch that it looks like people have uploaded from their computer. I look forward to future updates but for now it's a great app, way better than the Fox U Report.
Now I just need to find some cool news to report so I can see it on my nightly news.
The addition of 'newsworthy' reports is well needed. I'm hoping to see some good reports and weed through some of the not-so-great stuff.

I think this is a great idea. This app is extremely well designed and implemented.
Very easy to use, you can quickly report the news as you see it happen and view reports from other users around the world.
I read about this application on TechCrunch and agree with them, it's a cool concept.
Some of the content could be better but I've seen the level of professionalism increase in the content submissions over the last couple of days and I can really see it becoming a good place to read interesting stories submitted by real people, not just stories picked by the big corporate news sources.

Problems: - Not fully integrated with auto-complete. You can't hit the little x to keep what you've written, so it ALWAYS auto-completes it. - Comments and views are always at 0, despite the actual number of comments and views. - Unlike most apps for iPhone, it doesn't save your progress if you have to exit in the middle of something. - No user filtration system for abuse of the service (i.e. flagging spam or false stories), but then again, it prevents revenge flags. Upside: - Some really good content. Opposite of Fox news- even playing field for everything. - Fast app. Good UI. - Totally entertaining to read Republicans' spam and laugh while they make idiots of themselves.

This is a great application for those who love to read random stories about random things. If you thought this was a fact based news app, you're wrong. In the two weeks I've had this app, I've seen things from Obama Halloween costumes to new born babies. So if you're into seeing that stuff, then this is perfect.
The app itself still needs some improvement, like that the view counter does not work, so each new article says it has 0 views. This is why I give it four stars.

The app design is nearly flawless but people who own iPhones are not interesting and generally kind of idiotic so I doubt this will take off. Most reports are just pictures of iPhone users. That is not news. If I want to read that story I go to Yankee Candle.

This is the best news app on here.you get great breaking news you don't get on TV or the news paper,the only bad part is somebody named truthagent keeps putting conspiracy theorys post on here&gets mad when people don't like his conspiracy.Otherwise great app CBS keep up the great work.
