I love this app. I cannot fathom why BBC, Sky and CNN don't stream their channels in this way. Works well with wifi or a stable 3G connection (don't bother if you're on the train). I always enjoy the very French focus on extended debate on their channels. It's something that tends to get limited to Newsnight in Britain. Like I said, I wish other broadcasters used the facilities of the iPhone to their full potential like this does.

Best news channel for iPhone

Even though, other phones provide live TV coverage at extra cost, but iPhone users had to content with local radio stations through AOL radio. However, France 24 Live, had changed the entire dynamics.
They provide excellent news coverage and for the first time, you get live news over 3G instead of just relying on wi-fi alone. It loads faster, provides continuous feeds without interruption and the coverage is awesome.
Hope to see many more channels soon.

Seems to be working perfectly well on my touch and home wifi. Has to stop and buffer now and then, but I blame my damn dippy crappola Comcast cable service for that because it's always dropping out. I must thank everyone involved in providing this really excellent and truly useful service. Many thanks indeed! btw, I never guessed how my precious touch would only continue to grow in value and usefulness ...

For someone such as myself that likes to get his news from many different sources, this app is awesome and the content is very wide and objective. Also if you are trying to keep up with your French I highly recommend it. It can be slow to load depending on our location. (ie WiFi vs 3G) I honestly cannot understand why anyone would rate this below three stars. The video quality is very clear and you can also stream live content.

I watch a lot of TV (e.g. Thalassa ) from France so I am delighted to have access to this programming. However, to reduce my cable iCosts I had to settle for a speed of about 1 MBPS -- before routing thru my Linksys. Result? The video side of this site's streaming is fine, but the audio is only acceptable; perhaps best when viewing live programming in French with streaming quality set on " highest manual". Pomising, but no cigar.
