Nearly Perfect! part 2 By: ACBW - Aug 20, 2009 Version: 1.2 I'm updating my rating to a "5 Star" for two reasons. First for the improvements made from v1.1, and second for the outstanding customer support provided by the developer. I second other reviews wanting the ability to have "offline reading" capabilities, as well as #2 and #3 from my original review. original: Echoing other reviews, this one has it all (almost). The familiar layout (Classics) is exceeded by it's simplicity and ease of use. That being said, for me this would be a 5 star if: 1. ability to add or remove other news sites (Economist, SF Chronicle, etc.) 2. ability to organize layout based on my needs 3. built in RSS feed reader that is customizable & based on selections from what's in the listed sites Keep up the great work
Almost perfect! By: Louie Samman - Jun 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Just needs to be a bit speedier. I have the NYT app, Digg app, and USA Today app and after purchasing this app I don't need any of those and deleted them since this app has all 3. Great sale price. All that needs to be worked on is the speed so it will be less frustrating. It's fast enough but with better speeds this app would be my personal favorite. Of course its on Version 1.0 so I'm not going to complain about the speed until later versions if speeds stay the same because I don't like waiting for loading screens. Sometimes while scrolling it would freeze for a sec and then scroll. Have that fixed. Great app by the way you did a great job.

Solid, would like a few more features By: Chicago House - Sep 14, 2009 Version: 1.2 Pro's: Too many to list! Super easy to move around, great to have all the major news sources in one spot. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it maximizes the screen! Possible features: - I'd like to be able to move around the news sources in the app's homepage, just like I do with the apps on the iPhone's pages. - Maybe have a view option that just had the titles of the news sources? The news-stand look is cool, but kinda tedious to scroll down in the long run. - This may not be possible, but it would be ideal to have a Share button to share stories we find via email. (That would also be a great way to get more advertisements!)
Excellent App By: TamaraTB - Sep 11, 2009 Version: 1.2 Great App for getting your multiple-times-per-day fix of news. Two suggestions to make it better: 1. Allow users to organize the news magazines on the racks into their own preferred display order. 2. Include an option to have more preview lines of text in a story so you can read more of an article before pulling up the entire thing on the web. Other than that this is an excellent, fast, and reliable App.
Awesome news app, I am addicted too news! Now the only one I use for news. By: Flash2k - Jul 21, 2009 Version: 1.2 Now my only news app and favorite. Love the name, icon, and using the app. It is stable and loads fast. This app takes you to the mobile versions of all the listed news sources. You have total browsing control and it's basically like safari with another skin and nice links to everything news. Has loads of news sites, you can get all sides of all types news. View views and links right in the app. Don't pass it up.

Love this app By: aperryboy - Jul 1, 2009 Version: 1.1 I am a "news junkie" and originally had shortcuts on my iPhone desktop for news sites, such as CNN, FoxNews, etc. Now I have this app and have access to all the news sites. I have one request that I believe would improve the app... Allow the user to remove an unwanted news icon and replace with an icon of another news site. For Instance, I would like to add Sports Illustrated to my news sources. Allow me to remove digg, for example, and replace with the SI site. I think this added flexibility would be extremely useful. But otherwise, this is a great app and will recommend it to my other "news junkie" friends.
Fixed Issues Makes for a Very Good News App By: kcjazzlark - Jul 1, 2009 Version: 1.1 The display issues noted in my original review (below) have been fixed in version 1.1 making this an exceptionally good news site app. I particularly like the navigation. I would like a way to set a favorite site which it could open to, as many similar apps offer, instead of always opening to the selection screen (this would make getting to the site for which I usually use the app quicker). And I still question the inclusion of Digg as a news site. But with the update, this and News Fuse are the two best news site applications, and I've upped my rating to 4 stars. The original review: This app has well thought out navigation -- probably the best of any internet news app in the store, and I've tried many -- and includes a very good selection of sites (though I question the inclusion of Digg as a news site; Politico's iPhone-optimized site might have been a more logical choice). But once you get past the opening page of some sites, there are serious problems in how articles are displayed, rendering them all but illegible. Try selecting an article from The Washington Post, Time, Newsweek or CNN (and maybe others; I haven't tried them all) and you get minisucule type, not the page formatted for mobile which News Fuse or which the sites themselves deliver. Fix this bug and New Addict could be the best of the news site app bunch. Until then, rendering articles from some key news sources unreadable is a fatal flaw.

Great app By: Evarin - Aug 20, 2009 Version: 1.2 Gave it four stars because it does not autoformat all of its links.
Great App By: markactinc - Aug 9, 2009 Version: 1.2 Well done!
Addict... Yes! By: niburj - Aug 9, 2009 Version: 1.2 This app rocks. It would be nice to be able to organize the papers and book mark your favorite articles. Also, needs more papers such as the San Diego Union Tribune.
News Addict By: Hudson Ice - Aug 7, 2009 Version: 1.2 Best App for the money, available. If you are a news addict this is a must have.. Plus full color photographs. What more can you ask for..
Great app, easy to use By: vegaslefty - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 1.2 Just a great app, simple, well thought out, easy to use. Has allowed me to remove 7 other app's.
Just gives you the news, from the source you want.
Love it! By: JJOdelle - Aug 2, 2009 Version: 1.2 I love being able to access all my favorite news sites in one place.
Love this app! By: Jsumpter - Aug 1, 2009 Version: 1.2 This is one of my most used apps on my iPhone! I look at it everyday to get my daily dose of news. It works seemlessly and flawlessly and I have not had any problems. I love how you have a choice of networks, newspapers and magazines to choose from to get your daily dose of news. Thanks for such a great app!
