Has everything you need... And dont! By: Djsivdjdudncjsj h - May 13, 2009 Version: 0.3 At first i thought this was simply average and could not replace google reader on safari. Then i saw that you could import your feeds from reader. This was already enough until i realised you could view the webpage! And just for... well i dont know they added a mail option. How usefull!
On this app you can:
Import feeds from google reader
Add your own feeds
View the webpage from the app
Mail feeds
Refresh button
A 5 Star App By: Jdizhnsizixudbdbd - Apr 1, 2009 Version: 0.3 Saves me a lot of time, opposite to going to each webpage to check for updates. I found a bug, and the creator contacted me personally and fixed it. Easy to use interface. Worthy of the top 25 list. Best of all, it is free! I would very highly recommend this app to others. If you think this review is fake, then try this app for yourself. Low ratings for this app are unbelievable and quite possibly fake.
Awesome! By: tmk12v - Feb 10, 2009 Version: 0.2 This reader works great and contrary to others it imported my google feeds with no problems. The other free reader with the orange icon only imports the first 3 from google for free but it didn't lime the format of macworld or macnn?
This one imported all 7 I have just fine. The only request I have is a back button when using the built in browser. I can only follow deeper in a web site
But I can't back out without going to the main feed screen.
Lean and mean By: Anthony Horan - 13-Sep-2009 Version: 0.7 This lightweight RSS reader does exactly what I want a feed reader to do - import my feeds from Google Reader, and allow me to read my feeds with a minumum of fuss on an embedded web browser. It all works beautifully, is well designed and simple to use. And free, which is the best feature of all :) The only thing I didn't like about this app was the ugly splash screen on load, which doesn't match the clean look of the app itself. Other than that, it's a must-have. Nice work Francois!
Very good but needs some fixes By: spiritflare - 1-Jul-2009 Version: 0.4 It's got some very good features.
Pros:
1)Very fast- with threaded downloads.
2)Nice clean interface.
3)Caches websites -reload not needed.
4)Allows renaming feeds.
Cons:
1)Search capability under add limited.
2)Sometimes random crashes.
3)Very slow to "mark all read".
4)no option to specify number of articles to keep.
Bugs:
1)Colors don't refresh properly or mess up if phone is in landscape mode and the program is started.
2)Occasionally crashes when marking all read if many unread articles.
Suggested Improvements:
---------------------------------
1)Article Headers are cutoff because the font used is too large.
2)Support changing fonts and colors.
3)Allow changing number of articles to read: 10,25,50, etc.
4)Support OPML.
5) allow to specify number of articles to keep.
A fantastic free stand-alone RSS Reader By: Mike Friedman - Sep 22, 2009 Version: 0.7 RSS Runner is so good, I've given up using my desktop RSS reader in favor of reading feeds only on my iPhone. This is a stand-alone reader. It does not sync with Google Reader, but it will import your feed list from there. If you absolutely need a reader that syncs with Google, you should look elsewhere. However, RSS Runner is good enough that you may not need syncing as much as you think. Some of the things that make this app stand out above the other RSS readers: * You can sort feeds by the number of unread items, alphabetically by title, or in a custom order. You can easily switch from one sort to another at any time. * The app is fast. It pulls down my 30 feeds in about 10 seconds. (Time varies depending on how busy each feed's site is and on my internet connection. EDGE network downloading takes longer, but is not too bad.) * Articles are displayed quickly, even before enclosed images or videos are rendered. * Once you have downloaded your feeds, everything is stored locally, so you can read them without internet access. (on the train, for example) * It has a built-in browser, for viewing the web page associated with each article. From the browser view you can still use the next & previous article buttons, so you don't have to go back to the article or feed first. * Did I mention it's fast? I've tried several other RSS Reader apps and they were either too slow or had a clunky UI. This one is clean and fast and very useable. I really have given up reading RSS feeds anywhere else. And it's free! Might as well try it, right?
Great RSS Reader By: SargentPikachu - Sep 19, 2009 Version: 0.7 Even though RSS is slowly dying, there's still apps for them, including this app. And if you're one of the people still with RSS, I highly reccomend this app.
This app is a simple RSS reader, but with tons of nice touches. The biggest is being able to login to your Google Reader and get your RSS feeds from there. You can also view the web page that the RSS article is from. Say that theres an RSS update based on a news article. You can tap the Web Page tab and it'll go to the article that the RSS update was based on.
Organizing is nice: you can swipe to delete, custom arrange feeds, and have them sorted out by "Title", "Count", and your custom configuration.
Some awkwardness though: you cannot do anything when downloading new updates. And updating is slow.
But still, this is a great RSS app, and better than most RSS apps out there.
A 5 outta 5.
Nice app By: SkyB0lt - Jul 22, 2009 Version: 0.5 I have tried several free iPhone RSS apps. All I could find was buggy junk.
Now I have RSS Runner and it just plain works!! I copy and paste the RSS link I want and get my feeds! Just what a RSS reader should do.
A few options would be nice. I would like the app to have more settings available but otherwise this is the niceist free RSS you're going to find!
4 stars- if I could customize the rss settings for each feed the app would get 5!!!
---To the developer, nice work! Thanks
Super ultra awesome By: amirness - Jun 16, 2009 Version: 0.4 I have not paid for any RSS apps but I can't see how they'd be any better than this free app. I use it regularly on my subway ride by downloading feeds before I leave home and reading while I'm offline and under ground. I'd like to see an improvement in font size handling: allow different point sizes for the headline versus article view. I like to scan headlines and can deal with small text but when I am reading an article I appreciate larger text. The RSS parser has issues with a feed or two but I'm not sure where the fault lies bad RSS or a bad parser.
Good but needs a couple things... By: Sweet-t7 - Feb 21, 2009 Version: 0.2 This is a very smooth app, works great, easy to use. I love the search feature when adding feeds, and the built-in web browser is really nice. This app is lightweight and very fast compared to similar apps.
This app needs 2 things to earn 5 stars from me:
1) The ability to email a link to an article from the web page (a nice little button in the empty spot in the top right would be ideal).
2) The ability to move feeds up/down on the main list.

A great RSS program with one annoyance By: JonathanMoore - Oct 6, 2009 Version: 0.7 I have tried every free RSS app on the AppStore, for my daily news readings on the go. I have been a NetNewsWire user for a while, but since the latest update have moved away. I liked the speed and layout style of RSSRunner, and it's what I use now. I love the google reader sync, as that seems to be where everything is headed. However, there is one annoyance that stops this from being a 5 star app. The little i Button in the top corner annoys me to no end. I accidentally hit it constantly, and I just hate having to close the window in safari and returning to read more news. I will update this review to 5 stars if the thing is moved to somewhere better. If you agree with me, please say this review was helpful.

A - minus By: Agent Meticulous - Aug 22, 2009 Version: 0.6 B4 this app I was using "Free RSS Reader". This apps trumps most of the other free RSS readers...the landscape view & the email does it 4 me. Francois u appear 2 be a talented developer who is open 2 suggestions on how 2 make this app better. And if I'm right, you should take a look at an app called "Viigo", which I came across while using my bro's BB Storm (Verizon). This app also supports podcasts, has allows one 2 search 4 feeds in various ways (including site search, type search, &/or by category) as opposed 2 searching manually or taking a more circuitous route (i.e., adding a feed via Google Reader, then opening the app & importing it from GReader). Oh & btw, someone who posted previously was concerned about "auto feed refresh on startup"- this can be disabled via the iPhone "Settings". Adjust the rating. 3.5/4 stars b/c this is the best free option I could find on the iPhone!
Pretty darn good By: fkinsd - Jul 1, 2009 Version: 0.4 I haven't done RSS until last week when I got my iPhone. This app is very simple to use and clean. The only real lacking features are landscape mode, categories and the ability to zoom the text. The developer states 2 of these 3 are coming in a future release which would be cool. If you just need to follow a few feeds and don't want to sign up to any online accounts or see Ads then this is your app.
Excellent free RSS reader By: Nicholas Flynt - Jun 26, 2009 Version: 0.4 This is easily the best feed reader I have used for iPhone, great little app. Adding feeds is a snap, especially with the system-wide copy paste function for feed URLs. I wasn't left wanting, but I do agree, landscape mode would be icing on the cake (which is a lie).
For the record, I think the theme is cute and gives the app character. :-)
The Best RSS Reader! By: Queens126st - Jun 22, 2009 Version: 0.4 Great App and it's free!
Very nice By: Phil in Sammamish - Jun 21, 2009 Version: 0.4 You can't beat it for free!
Works great! By: Crawler5000 - May 17, 2009 Version: 0.4 Awsome!

Needs an "Open in Safari" option. By: Moocow1452 - May 3, 2009 Version: 0.3 But aside from that, it's top of the line regarding RSS.
