READ THIS REVIEW!:This app provides up to date information on the latest news bulletins and is a great way of checking: Breaking News Stories, Sport, Showbiz, Weather and Strange News. If there were iPhone / iPod Application awards, this one certainly would get my vote!!! It is also easier to check the latest news on here rather than the website by computer and plays high quality video which follow the news item.

I think this is one of the most useful apps on the iPhone, it's simple, fast and informative which is what I need to keep up with what's going on in the world. I get a very good connection over 3G and virtually instant over my wifi. I would really like to see a more efficient way of getting the weather, both the UK and World, but even Europe would be sufficient. Great work!The 1.1 update has added some useful stuff, but it does not have the polish I expect from an App. The low quality graphics spoil it for me and the App icon looks awful. Please fix =]

Great app - news reports are varied, interesting and well written. Video reports are excellent, fast and a good length. The icon is fine, not sure why people complain about it - what do you expect a sky news logo to look like???!!!Never experienced any bugs.Only one gripe and one request - bizarre news isn't really bizarre and bring push notifications! AP News has it for USA users give something for UK users to cheer about!

Great app, clean, easy to navigate, up to date. However, I have one suggestion. With the release of the iPhone 3GS, why not update the report section of the app so we can upload video? That would be such a great feature. Really would give users the option of submitting their own reports, and getting breaking footage straight to Sky to show the world on TV. I would have sent this suggestion direct to them, but developer contact details are hard to find!

Good but not without fault

Firstly, it's a free app so can't really complain. However, articles often contain spelling mistakes which is a small point, but it does give it a sloppy feel. Also, it takes ages for the sport stories to update (the day after a match has been played, the old article talking about the build-up is there).On the plus side, the videos load quickly and I use this app several times a day, so four stars.

Sky News: First!

Finally an official sky news app! Works as expected and features the latest breaking news from the UK and around the world. Videos are well done and of good quality.The breaking news SMS alerts are a bit pricey and 25p a pop, and with the amount of news that Sky usually class as 'breaking' I can see it easily adding up - would be nice in firmware 3.0 for free breaking news push notifications to be added.Glad to see Sky are continuing to support the iPhone platform - a few feature update request: story tracker, subject search and perhaps market prices in the business section, and perhaps the 'live events' video feed which is available on the sky news website.
