Reviews:
A great first release By: 1angryguy - Oct 10, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 I want to start by saying I am a Y! employee but was also critical of oneConnect. Yahoo! for iPhone is a good first version. I have noticed a few UI inconsistencies and quirks but afterall, this is a 1.0 release. Aside from the one or two oddities I like the app. I use it almost daily. I did laugh at the first comment I read, "Get out of Google's butt" and I share the sentiment. Google doesn't crap gold and not everything they do is the end-all be-all. I have used their app and overall I do prefer this one.

Woth downloading but needs some improovesnents By: Luqven - Jul 12, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 The app is downloading, but needs some improovesnents. I did LOVE the user interface though LOVED IT!!!
Things that need fixing:
1: loading times- WAY TOO MUCH LOADING
2: Scrolling- whenever I try to scroll through a page it's foes nuts!
3: Caching: it needs to save certain data and immages so that it doesn't load again every time I go to a different menu
4: MobileMe IM support
5: digg/twitter submissions

Pleasantly Surprised! By: daniel.jacob - Apr 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 After using the crappy Yahoo! oneConnect app on my iPhone, I was skeptical about the new Yahoo! app. After using this new app, I am bidding farewell to both the Google and oneConnect apps. The new app is very clean and easy to navigate. The new theme for Yahoo! seems to be synergy, and from what I can see, they have a very good start. In particular, the "My Interests" tab is very cool. I am also very pleased with the apps integration of Yahoo! Calender and Mail. I like the integration of Facebook, Myspace, etc, but for the time being, status and photo updates are the only thing you can view; hopefully with time that will change. Yahoo! oneSearch is okay, but not anything like Google Search. All-in-All, I think Yahoo has done a great job with their new app, and I hope newer/better upgrades are in its future.
PA1 By: PA112 - Jun 28, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 This is a great app..Most of the complants I read was that it sends you to Safari for some stories.Sooooo what. You get to see or read what you, that hit the back buttom and you're right back to Yahoo. Whats the problem with that.you just can't please all people even if you give them something free.To those whit an open mind get this app. It's great especially if you have a mail account throught Yahoo.

Excellent app for at a glance viewing of many sources of information. By: JabeltheHut - 01-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 This app does take a bit of time to set up, but allows you to connect to Facebook, Twitter, Bebo and many others. It also allows you to connect to many email accounts. Set up cinema listings, Weather, Stocks, RSS feeds. The News part of the app is excellent. The most compelling feature is the ability to have a unified view of many social networking sites if you have multiple accounts. Download and try and invest some time in setting it up , I think you will be impressed.
Want to be able to quickly email news stories By: Scottie Karate - Sep 26, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 I generally really like this app. I use it everyday and is the second app I check after Facebook. I use it most for browsing news stories and checking my "my yahoo" page. My only gripe is occassionally I'll come across a news article that I want to email or share, but ther is no easy way of doing that from within the app without having to launch the safari link, copy the link and then launching either Email, Mesages or other app and pasting it into there before sending.. It would be great if at the end of articles there would be a share or email button that would launch the Messages or Email app and would automatically paste the article's title in the subject line and link in the body. Other apps have this option (ei. New York Times app). I couldn't find a way to easily notify Yahoo! Of this omission/suggestion, so I hope someone from Yahoo!'s app development is reading this.
Great First Version. By: iLLussion - Apr 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 I love having a native app for my favorite web portal. Much quicker to navigate from category to category than using safari, especially as I am still on edge. This program is not without some issues though, which I hope is due to the version being 1.0. Specifically I am very disappointed that the Market Summary does not work when I add it to "My Interests" but it does work fine if I go to "More>Finance"

Excellent By: Joethegamer - Apr 24, 2009 Version: 1.0 Read the title. Read it out loud. With some energy now. That's what this app is. For the reveiwer that gave a 1-star review because they couldn't see their msn contacts, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!?!?! You can't give a 1-star review because an app doesn't have a feature it didn't mention in the description! At least give four stars! (and besides, they're two different companies) Worry about more significant stuff, like the speed of the mail part, which is why I gave four stars. Yahoo!, please speed that up a bit. It's inconvenient and slow to close the app, search through nine pages of apps for "Mail," and then open it up on an Edge connection. Until you do that, I'm keeping this review at four stars. Also, please make the news part openable within the app rather than requiring a new page in Safari, which is annoying, and takes away from the blazing fast speed of this app.
Yahoo By: FastEddieSRT - Apr 15, 2009 Version: 1.0 Overall it's a great app....it would be even greater if in email it did HTML and you can delete msgs without going to the bottom and clicking manage messages....messanger works good even in a bad signal (super). Maybe add my bookmarks and or my web instead of just adding onto the app like all other browsers...(you know WEB BOOKMARKS--advantage---no syncing needed) ....another improvement would be a better browser option besides safari if possible...OVER ALL ITS GREAT AS IT IS BUT THESE ARE THOUGHTS FOR IMPROVEMENT...THANKS FOR A GREAT AND USEFUL APP

Great By: xxxHolmesxxx - Apr 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 A few problems such as.....
1. On yahoo messanger, when I want to see who's online I can't because when I click on the button to show me who's online it takes me to another page that I can click on a button that says all contacts. When I click on that it takes me to the online buddys button again and so on....
2. On the messanger the contacts aren't loaded in for me and loading all my contacts in would be a waste of time. ( yes I have downloaded my yahoo address book/ contact thing)

Very good By: Jujujonjingle - May 24, 2009 Version: 1.1 Very good first attempt at an all in one app. The native news functions open within the app, which is nice. There is also an rss component, but most stories link to safari, which kinda stinks. The app possesses the capability to update status on myspace, facebook and twitter and others all at once, which is pretty sweet. For viewing your twitter feed, there are better apps to be sure. But the scope of this app is impressive and I'm sure it will only get better.
I don't get it By: Kyoanna - May 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 So I put in one of my yahoo mail accounts and it's all cool but then I try to change it to my main yahoo email and it won't let me??
Why can't I switch back and forth between two different yahoo accounts?
It only let's you add different ones like gmail and w/e but why can't I add another yahoo one?
I use each one for different things and the only reason I got this app was to go on my emails. It's making me mad...
please help, am I just overlooking something??
Everything is good on this app except for YM! By: USA-Scott - Apr 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is a great way to look at my yahoo contacts list, and to access many of the items I have already added to my MyYahoo.com homepage (news stories, stock quotes, sports scores, TV and Movie schedules, etc.) This app can also be connected to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other social networking websites, and of course be connected to not only Yahoo email, but also to Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL mail. Incredibly, once you connect this app to Gmail, you also have access to many other Google features too (Google Calendar, Docs, Images, etc.) I have yet to see any other app on itunes that can be connected to so many other things and can also be personally customized in so many ways. But there are two things that need improvement on this app. First, I do not like the fact that when I look at my Yahoo Calendar using this app, I only have the option to look at "today", "tomorrow", and "this week". It would be much better if I also had the option to choose "this month" in the calendar on this app, since I typically use the Yahoo Calendar to keep track of only 5 to 20 events a month. The second and biggest problem with this app is when using Yahoo messenger. I can chat much more quickly, clearly and with far more features on Yahoo Messenger using other 3rd party messenger apps on the iphone then I can with Yahoo's own YM! Interface on this app. With YM! on ths app, there is no auto caps, no auto spell correction, no emoticons, no way to send photos, and when I send a message, it takes 3 or 4 seconds for the message to show up on my iphone screen... that is way too slow. If Yahoo can fix these few deficiencies in their next update, this app will be easily worthy of a future 5 star rating from me.

Good! By: Toxic_Rhyme - Apr 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 I like this app very much. I can't say it would replace my yahoo oneconnect though. I usually only use these apps for yahoo messenger and msn, and yahoo oneconnect covered both of those, and sends messages a lot faster. But the one thing oneconnect can't do is request and add buddies. I had to install nimbuzz just to add my buddies, and I still couldn't request on that one! Yahoo does what I want it to do, and more! The only problems I have are-Sluggish at times, and takes a while to send and recieve messages. Fix that and Yahoo gets 5 stars!
Great App By: NavyRay - May 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 App is great and works as advertised. Even added custom rss feeds with ease. Not sure why folks are complaining about leaving the interface. All updates are held in the app not going to Safari. Great Job!
