Reviews:
Amazing app! Should be top 25!! By: spiffychristian - 11-Jun-2009 Version: 1.1.2 This app doesn't get enough exposure! It should be in staff picks and top 25 downloads!! It has an amazing interface that looks beautiful and is easy to use. It has a nice icon on my home screen and it works wonderfully. This app deserves to have a price tag of at least 99Cents if not more! I would pay for it! This app is amazing and everyone who has flickr needs to download this because the makers are nice enough to make it free!!!
Premier example of a perfect iPhone app By: Cartooning Dude - Mar 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 What a great app (and a great price). Has all the Flickr features a basic user would want, the interface and animation throughout Flickit is beautiful, fluid and sharp. This app is for uploading, not browsing. Designed to get your photos up on your Flickr account. The only downside is the lack of auto-rotate, but an email to the developer reveals that this is a limitation/bug in the iPhone OS. Workarounds would break the GPS data. And a very friendly and responsive developer. Workarounds for the rotation are on the list, too. It would be nice to be able to see your Flickr photos from within the app, but not necessary and goes beyond the purpose of Flickit. (Review date: 2009-03-01)
Great interface and batch upload ability By: aubaub - Mar 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 However; the program strips the EXIFF data from the photo on upload. It pretty much makes the photo useless for me. Also, the geolocation feature doesn't read the location data in the photo. Always says unknown location. Absolutely great start with the app, but the two problems above kill it for me. EDIT: I am changing my rating to 5 stars. I emailed the developer and he was very quick in getting back to me. It turns out the problem with the EXIF data is a limitation imposed by Apple. That being said, this program does everything it can do exceptionally well. Just too bad I can't use it as I need the EXIF data intact.
Yaaaaaaaaa By: matt.a. - May 23, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 Very happy with this app perfect and has a great interface with no crashed
Works great By: justjessa10ok - Jun 9, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 So far i've had no problems. People complaining about making the pics public, don't be stupid, go to settings and change it. Uploads quickly and actually work, unlike other programs. Bonus that it's free. At least see what you think of it and if it's not what you thought, well you didn't waste your money. You don't have to sign up for 50 new programs or anything. Just download and upload, easy peasy lemon squeezy! Haha sorry, longer than i expected!
And then some By: JenNjuice - Sep 9, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 This makes it terribly simple to upload pictures to flickr. I highly recommend this app to those who are just looking for a fast way to upload pictures from their library, or straight from their camera. Simple layout makes it very user friendly and having the opportunity to add description, set tags or sets, make pictures public or not and more just adds to the app. The only thing I could suggest is make it easier to switch between accounts. I have a couple of different flickr accounts for different things and it can get a little annoying having to enter in the user name and password to switch between the two every time. Other than that, very awesome app and one of the most I use on my phone!
Great start, but needs more By: TimmyGUNZ - Sep 9, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 This is great for a 1.0 release, although I would like to see more customizable settings. I tag all my mobile pics with the tag "cameraphone" and would love the option to have default tags assigned to uploads. I also put all my mobile photos in their own set so the ability to set a default upload set would be great too. Allow me to view my photostream and make changes directly from the app and it will be a 5 star killer app!
very solid app. By: byronface - Oct 6, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 the official Flickr app was very much lacking on the photo upload part of the app. so I turned to this one instead. one of my best decisions.batch uploading. with the official Flickr app, we were only allowed to work woth and upload one photo at a time. with this app, we can select multiple photos. great time saver. my only suggestion would be to batch process photos, instead of editing tags for one photo at a time.default metadata. this is THE ultimate time saver for this app. I have my default set to add the year 2009 and 'iphone' to every new picture, as well as adding every picture to my 'iPhone pictures' set.default visibility. I think I remember reading a previous review saying that they didn't like how every picture is defaulted as 'private'. not sure if it was before an update or not, but the option to default as 'public' exists and is very useful and time saving.stability. the app is very stable. I will admit that for some reason, my first attempt at authenticating my Flickr account, it would crash with each attempt. re-downloaded it the next day and everything went smoothly. no crashes since then.I can't comment on the Twitter/blogging feature as I do not use them.things that may need work: keeping the filename of the photo (like IMG_1234) as the title, rather than changing them all to 'photo' or whatever is set in the default field.why only four stars? -- the photos are dated once uploaded to Flickr as the date they were uploaded, rather than the date they were taken. this can be very troublesome for those who rely on the correct dates on Flickr, and may not have time to upload the pictures right after they were taken. this is quite a large setback and I hope it is fixed in the next update.bottom line: great, useful, and solid app. do not expect it to be a Flickr viewer, it is simply an uploader and it does a great job doing it. other than the uploaded date bug, it beats the official Flickr app by MILES.
Great interface & multi-upload capability By: intrinsi - Feb 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 I love the interface and subtle animations between screens. I also love the ease of uploading multiple images at once, which is by far easier (and prettier) than any other Flickr app I've tried. However, to be fair, when I tried to take two photos in a row as a test, this app crashed and I had about 21mb available before running this app. Still a great interface, though, and it did save my first photo after restart, so thumbs up overall.
Great Start, Just needs a couple more features By: Casademora - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is great! I am using it to take geotagged photos with my iphone and upload them to flickr while on vacation. For one photo, it works great. However, unless I'm missing something, I would like to see some simple things like: set caching, or the ability to save the sets locally (or just do that instead), the ability to mark the default set to which my photos will be uploaded. I would also like to be able to set visibility defaults. I always want my photos public, but I have to select that everytime. Also, the geotagging work well, but i have to manually tell it to get more accurate data. I would like it to automatically do this while the app is on and just set that to the photos that are to be uploaded. And, Iast, I would like to have the ability to select more than one photo and make batch changes to them. Even with these feature requests, this is still a very handy app that, while free, still give you a lot of useful value to uploading directly to flickr. The UI is simple, and fairly quick to use, however, as mentioned above, I think setting some defaults would make things go a little quicker (for me at least). Thanks for the great app!

Permissions By: erieger - May 29, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 Everything about this appliction is perfect except for one thing, and this is the photo permissions. Every photo that is added to the upload batch is set as private, and this make it very annoying to change to public. If it could be easier to change this setting for the entire group of pictures that would be great. Something else that could be added would be the ability to add all of the photos you are uploading to a new or current set. This is a great application.
Best Flickr App for Uploading By: JPFragile - Jun 26, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 The UI design of this app is very nice. Attention to detail was obviously important. I do have a small gripe: when you scroll through the film strip of photos that are waiting to be uploaded, they will actually scroll off the page. Not a terrible problem but a little annoying. I was using Klick before I heard about this program, and I will tell you hands down this app is better. One warning to users is if you are batch uploading photos and you have auto screen lock enabled on the phone, you will lose connection. I don't know if this is due to the programmer or the phone but the nice thing is when you unlock the phone it will continue uploading and when finished tell you which photos did not get uploaded. Overall a very well thought out app. I only miss being able to change the geotag from within the app (currently you can only use current location).Add the ability to change geotag location and create new sets and this will be a five star review.
Great looks. Scarce Features. By: iMcfly - Jul 30, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 The applications design is so sleek I put it in my dock, and also because I love putting pictures onto my flickr. I love the icon, and the entire app, but it could use more fixes, more power, and more features.More Fixes. More Power:The app sometimes crashes. That could be fixed. The app doesn't always launch completely when there are pictures loaded on it. More Features:It would be nice to be able to upload entire albums with one tap.It would be nice to select custom upload sizes. It would be nice to view pictures on flickr, send/receive comments. It would be nice to customize images before upload.
Yes, yes, yes By: jdwarrick - Aug 4, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 My Flickr account has grown since I added this to my iPhone. It does a fantastic job of uploading photos from your iPhone photo album to your Flickr account. Very clean interface, easy to use. I took some photos of a display in a store and uploaded them to my Flickr account while I was standing there. BUT -- I cannot get the app to work when I TAKE a photo using the app. It crashes every time. I have not tried Flickit Support, and probably should do that, but could this be a 3.0 bug? Otherwise, if use the built in Camera app and use Flickit to upload photos from your album it works FANTASTIC! Wish list: • add a Flickr browser capability. It would be nice to be able to view my Flickr photostream to confirm the upload without leaving the app. • add a Flickr DOWNLOADER function. But this is a solid App as is, and I recommend it highly and use it many times almost every day!
a few more fixes and features would make this amazing By: Putermcgee - Sep 6, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 for uploading a pic to flickr, this is my favorite iphone app, but it needs more. i just uploaded a few pictures to an existing set, and i noticed the 'taken on' date for all the pictures was changed to the current date (they were all taken on different dates). i'm not sure why that's happening, but it shouldn't. i also think there should be a setting to create a new set when uploading. creating new tags does seem to work for me either if the tag is more than one word (where normally, you'd make the tag "bike ride" with quotes to make a single tag). video uploading would be convenient, but since i don't put videos on flickr, it doesn't matter to me. some reviews are asking for a download function, but that doesn't seem like a feature they'll ever add considering it's hard enough getting a desktop app to do this properly, much less a phone.
Great app except for one thing... By: Jeepinjason - Sep 9, 2009 Version: 1.1.3 EXIF data gets stripped, or rather, over-written. It'll geo-tag, with your CURRENT location, and it'll time/date stamp, with the CURRENT time/date... not entirely useful unless you're uploading a photo you just took. That's why I gave it 4 stars vs 5 stars. However, so far it's the ONLY flickr uploading app I've tried that supports BATCH uploads! This is the whole reason I sometimes use the app over just emailing the photos direct from the phone (which retains all the EXIF data). It also uploads the photos at full res on my 2G phone (3GS may be a different matter though). If they fixed the EXIF data issue, this would be the best flickr uploading app hands down.
Bloomin Great App By: Jacqui UK - 18-Sep-2009 Version: 1.2.1 With the new ability to post to groups, blogs and twitter and set these as defaults too this is a great application. Would happily pay for this application.
Brill app By: Jr. Suvie - 13-Sep-2009 Version: 1.1.3 Can't beat it. Flickr one is rubbish
Superb By: Gordeh - 21-Apr-2009 Version: 1.1 A great app. A must have for flickr users.
