Hollywood FX Video Maker turns your iPhone videos into stylish movies with beautiful cinematic effects.
This app provides a set of amazing cinematic effects, many of which you could see in blockbuster movies or music videos.
List of effects available in version 1.0:
- TWILIGHT - Gives to your video that stylish look characteristic for fragments from the movie "Twilight". This app also includes "Claire De Lune" track from the movie OST that you can add to your video!
- SPARTA - Adds a dramatic effect with dark sepia tone and saturated red. This effect gives your videos a look very similar to the movie "300".
- BLACK&WHITE&RED COMICS - Adds an affect that characterized the movie "Sin City" - very contrast black and white video with red colors in it. Works best on videos made in well illuminated places where you have one detail that is of clear vivid red color and no others details of red color (or its tints) in the environment of your video.
- PREDATOR VISION - Makes videos as seen by a Predator - the extraterrestrial warrior from the famous movie "Predator".
- COLOR COMICS - Makes your videos look like animated comics.
- BLACK&WHITE MOVIE - Permits you to make old school black and white videos.
- SEPIA MOVIE - Turns you videos into stylish sepia movies.
You can use a video from your iPhone's library or instantly make a new video from inside the app.
Besides the effects you can also assign one of 5 different vignettes that will add to any of your video that stylish vintage look.
And there is more:
- You can accelerate or slow down any of your videos.
- You can add to your video one of 9 soundtracks included in the application. One of them is "Claire De Lune" by Debussy that was used in Twilight movie soundtrack.
No need for Internet connection to use this App.

I can't believe that this app isn't higher on the list--Apple really should spotlight it. I wouldn't have known about it if it hadn't shown up in my "genius" list of suggestions. The things this app does open up tons of doors and possibilities in editing. The possibilities are mind-boggling--and all done on an iPhone?!?! Incredible. Much kudos to the devs on this one. (P.S. I've had Vintage Maker for a long time now and love that. These apps, combined with another devs editing app have allowed me to put together vids I could not have imagined when I first bought my 3Gs)

Please dev, make all of your video FX apps have the ability to pull from the photo library! Not just from the camera roll! This puts a huge limit on all of your video FX apps! I will raise my star rating to 5 stars if this is accomplished per app!

This app should have been an update or an "in-app" purchase to their VintageVideo app. Its not quite worth the $2.99! There are several effects but all are not very impressive. 1)The color comic effect is not good. It just outlines all the edges of the objects in the video. It looks terrible! It would be great if it was like the cartoon effect in Aha's 80's music video of their song 'Take on Me'!! That would make this app a killer app!2) twilight effect just adds a slight green hue to the video. Looks like the same effect used in "The Ring". 3) sparta and sepia effects are almost the same except that sparta is a wee bit darker.4)predator vision effect is neat at first but then gets old quick and u realize it is a useless effect; maybe u will use it once in a while like in the summer time to emphasize the heat outside?5)the black and white effect is better in their VintageVideo app.However, There are more soundtracks in this app that can be combined with other video apps, but you will be forced to add one of the effects in this app.. There is no option to have 'no effect' and the user should be able to add the soundtrack only. It would be really nice if they updated this app with new effects like "sin city" comic effect or the "cartoon" effect I mentioned above.. The effects in this app were a let down but the soundtracks are somewhat compensational for the poor effects. My review may be more subjective than objective but let's see what other people who own VintageVideo app say about this app! Add new effects and/or soundtracks and it will be 5stars.
