I've been looking out for this app being released after hearing all the hype about it on Twitter, from folk using it on their jailbroken iPhones. I was not disappointed!! It really does live up to all the hype and the added features with ease of taking, viewing, deleting & emailing photo's all within the App, make it a hit in my book. It's now replaced iPhones original camera app on my homescreen.Image stabilization along with some other basic features would be a welcome addition for future updates. Other than that, 5 from Me!

I really missed this App since going over to non Jailbroke iPhones. In fact this was the main reason I used to Jailbreak my iPhone, just to get Snapture! It has features in it Apple should have put in their camera App, in fact if I'd been Apple I would have got the Snapture guys working for me or bought them out. Glad to see you here at last guys!!!! This is the best camera app you'll find bar non!

Great work, soooo easy to use, within 5 minutes of buying this app it had replaced my stock app on homescreen.
It does everything I had heard about and more, any chance though of adding upload tags to the images for social networking sites and mms also, tap to focus and take picture from anywhere around the edge of a pre defined frame would make full use of the imaging facilities, however its not a deal breaker.
The ease of zoom and send are fantastic and I would heartily reccommend this app to anyone who takes pictures.....it beats the competition by a mile and if social networking were to be added (maybe v2.0) it would be worthy of the 'app store top app in the history of apps ....ever!' award (my own idea)

I've owned and used Snapture for around 2 years now and I've always though it was a great idea. In fact, when I first got it I wondered "why isn't this in the app store? There are other camera apps but none like this.". Well now here it is, exactly as I left it, but in the app store instead of on Cydia. Hilarious. And whats more, both RedLaser and Snapture are in the top ten! These are both excellent examples of why there need to be few if any restrictions on what AppStore apps can do, until then great apps like this and RedLaser will continue to be availlable only to those who break out of jailNow if only you guys could get ClearCam on the appstore

This is wot I wos witing for is just perfect .but when you zoom is not good . I have the Zoom Lens from App Store is very good in zooming much much beter then this App but dosent have the options wat this have so ... If you fix the zooming beter quality you can bet evry body and this App culd be the best so please fix it Fix the quality Off the photos when you Zoom thas all i want and im going to give you 6 thank you
Great camera app but has it's flaws

I used to use this on my jailbroken iPhone and was upset when I found out it didn't work on iPhone 3G S. But now i got it from app store and it is the best camera app available in my opinion. Only dissapointments are no tap to focus as used on 3G S and no iPhone video. If they added these features I would never use the stock camera ever again. I highly recommend this to iphone 2g and 3g users but 3G S users should wait for now.
A great replacement for the default camera app

Snapture definitely knows how to create good software, and this app shows it. The little features throughout are polished to no end, easily seen when using the QuickView - it's fast, well animated, and intuitive. Things a camera app SHOULD be so that you can focus on the subject and not the software.
I would like to see a few more features - previous Snapture products had color modes and a few other bells and whistles. When that comes around, this really well be the perfect camera app.

They are the O.G's on the Zoom affect since iPhone has been unlocked! They were yhe 1st ones to do it! Love it! Can't wait for updates! Actaully in Cydia the app is way more advanced that it is here! But hopefully Apple can get better at approving what we want!

I unoffically jailbroke my iphone when i first heard of this program and it was the only program i downloaded. Back then it cost me $8 to get it. Then i had to unjailbreak it for reasons. I missed this program then i got an email about how they were in the app store. This program is well worth it even if it costed $30 cause you will take the most amazing pictures for a phone. And the fact that you can tap anywhere to take the pictures makes snapture the best camera program there is. First time writing a review

I don't jailbreak my phone anymore - most of the reasons I did are now in OS 3.0. Now with Snapture in the App Store, another reason just bit the dust. Snapture is great and makes your camera function even better. I have a 3G so I need to coax a little extra from the camera. Snapture looks like it will play nicely with a GS also so when I upgrade phones I will be in pig heaven. I may even be able to just carry my good camera and use the phone for my point and shoot.

Considering the recent spate of apps pulled for so-called replication of base functions on the iPhone, (GVMobile, Google Voice, etc)I didn't think this would make it through the approval process seeing how it is better than the base iPhone camera app. Combined with Photogene, PhotoFX, CinemaFX, & FocalLab, you really have a nice way to capture and process some very cool pix that can be immediately uploaded to online photo sharing sites like Flickr, or PhotoBucket using one of their native iPhone client apps.
For those that haven't used Snapture before, don't expect too much. It's meant to be a nice replacement of the built-in camera app. Nothing more, but what it does, it does well. As a camera app, it adds functionality that the built-in camera app should have had. Well worth the current sale price of $1.99 IMHO. If you use your iPhone to take more than the occasional shot here or there, then this is worth looking into.

If you are looking for a good picture app or want to get the best quality out of your camera, pay $2 and get this app.You are probably looking at the other pictures apps, just like I did, an seeing which one you should buy.Best camera - puts advertisements for the app that u can't remove on your pictures if u post them online.Camera genious - not even competition (hence the 3 stars.)I am a "save money freak". (At restaurants I never get a combo mean and always order water cause it's free).And I am glad I bought this app

Better than Camera Genius or Camera Zoom 2. I have tried all extensively. My only complaint has nothing to do with the app: I don't like the icon. And since I have replaced my iPhone camera app with Snapture on the first page... I wish it was more camera looking or cooler. But back to the app: works great. Totally worth it and what the iPhone camera app should have been all along... Way to go guys!

One-of-a-Kind Integration of Features

Shortly after I installed this app, I uninstalled "Camera Genius" and then found a perfect little quiet corner where my phone's native camera software icon would be able to enjoy its retirement away from all the activity **. I have (in my head) renamed my camera icon: 'The Last App on the Right'Of all the photo capturing software I have used thus far, Snapture's thumbnail stacks innovation is hands down the most well thought out post-snapshot review system I have seen. (I think they refer to it as picture-in-picture). It truly does simplify things. I also love the option to instantly delete or email any of the pics in review right from the same screen. The only thing i would like to see added would simply be an "upload to MobileMe gallery" option (preferably alongside the delete/email buttons).Thanks for a great app. I have a 16GB iPhone 3G (since Feb '08). Oh, and this is the FIRST REVIEW I have ever done on an app - other than the 5-Star tap rating that pops up whenever u delete one.** I am not sure how this applies to those of you with the new "S' ---> if video capture is controlled right from within the same camera app that does your stills, then you probably don't want to move the icon to the very last page...

Also, integrating a video camera would render the native iPhone camera app obsolite. Otherwise, fantastic app, very well done with a polished professional interface. Love it!***UPDATE***I like the fact that the new update has enabled the touch to focus feature for 3GS users, but can you please implement an update that will wait until the AF settles on a proper focus before proceeding to snap the images?

This app is AMAZING and worth it at any price! You know how the iPhone's camera gets frustratingly slow and hesitates all the time? This totally takes care of that, and does oh so much more - absolutely everything it claims, and to an extreme of performance. Thank you so much to whoever created this app - I can start playing with the picture art apps again, cuz I finally have the quality of pictures needed for those apps
