☂ When using sync, please always ensure iCal is backed up every now and then to avoid any mishap: iCal > Export > iCal Archive
* Push alerts will require WiFi or an officially supported carrier plan.
* iCal Sync requires Mac OS X 10.5 or above

I was looking for a GTD app that didn't exceed $5 and that could communicate with my iCal calendar. This wasn't my first find.
But after seeing that push notifications is what made me decide to get this and I am happy that I did. Other than a few issues with syncing that I quickly got sorted out, I have been able to use this exactly like I like to get things done. I feel like this app was made for me.
A perfect task manager!

Long ago after having used their app Groups for a while I just wished the same functionality could be offered for a To Do manager app. I had tried and tested all other similar apps and always wondered why and how these apps made it to the top with a maze of a user interface. After having used this app for just 10 minutes, I was able to synchronize ALL my calendars, tasks and alarms to the iPhone!! I am just AMAZED (well not really as I have learnt to expect such quality and support from the developers) at how well thought this app is.
The interface is just so easy to use and is SO natural. Calendars as Tabs! Amazing. I have fallen in love with a To Do app all over again. Well done, really. What would be really nice in an update would be the option to sync to google calendar. Although my calendars get synched from the mac to google, I'd like to be able to do this from 2Do too.
2Do is my perfect Note and iCal Sync app

2Do is the new To Do application for iPhone OS from Guided Ways Technologies. At the time of this review, the app was 9th most paid app in the productivity category in the UK Store.
Although its name might suggest something else, I see 2Do more of a iCal & Notes Sync . 2Do allows the user to add tasks notes and add them to a todo list. The list is ordered chronologically, having on top the errand that needs to be done now. 2Do doesn't differentiate different steps in GTD techniques or other existing ToDo apps already populating the store such as (App Store links) Things, Todo or OmniFocus. Guided Ways is not new to the category since they already had placed mid-price app Groups in #43 in that category.
2Do icon is a mix between Things and Notes apps, which I think its very indicative. A Todo list on a piece of paper of a calendar. The design is correct but is not on spot.
The application itself has a variety of themes and functions that are present in other apps from the same developer (ie. Drag and Drop, Tabs, Colour scheme).
Its best functionalities are :
Adding a new errand in 2Do. Alarms can be set as push potifications, iCal alarm warning and email.
Tasks can be sorted using different criteria easily
Loads of eye candy options that you have to discover yourself.
One of the themes (sugar, I think) resembles a cream crumbled piece of paper.
Syncing works over WiFi as long as your computer has installed a small plugin to syncronise your iDevice with your ical agenda. These guys are so careful and nice with you that they warn you that the app might mess things up and that it is advisable to backup ical frequently. This guys even give you a little script for you to execute and backup without any mayor problem.
To mark tasks as done, you just need to swipe your finger across the screen. This actually feels more natural to me than the tick-box system. You can undo actions as well. 2Do gives the user the ability to stretch the screen to use tabs or to use a wider version with small icons.
Conclusion: 2Do deserves to be in the 100 app list. This piece of software is fully featured and has many more options than other apps todo productivity apps. 2Do delivers to sync over wifi, making it more innovative than my current favourite Things for example. The UI is definitely eye candy although the icon is not master class yet. I love the functionality that 2Do brings to the table because it allows me to merge calendar entries with task items very easily. Guided Ways has a good track of design and innovation and I believe that this will get updated till 1.5 in the future.
For people that need to have constant reminders and alerts, for the short term planning, this app is ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Fancy and functional

I doesn't sync at first but when I read the firewall settings, It synced amazingly!, It brought all calenders I have in iCal and the to-do's from iCall and Mail! which is amazing!
What I can say is that, it brings all your calnders ToDos and orgnise them in a very fancy easy to use list.
I like the fancy visuals animations etc. Lovely layout. Easy to use.
Changed my mind after I saw its syncing feature! very promising.

Finally! A todo app for iPhone done right.I've tried literally every single decent todo app on the iPhone, and thus far I've been very disappointed with every app... except this one.It does everything I want and need it to, and better yet, it does it well and with no performance issues encountered so far.5 star rating in all categories. From design layout, performance, features, etc - this truely is an amazing app.
Best to do list app on the iPhone.

I've tried may many other todo list apps but I've never found one that did what I needed it to and looked amazing at the same time. I'm a professional user interface designer and I must say that this application has one of the best user interfaces I've ever seen. I'm still looking for a todo list that has a partnering mac app but this will have to do for now until thehitlist releases their iPhone app. Thanks so much to the developers if this app for go ally getting the todo list application right!!!!
Done with Style

Terrific application, the interface undoubtly the best on the iPhone.I'll try not to sing the same old song, but more features is a must. Hiding calenders by moving them into folders in iCal is a terrible workaround. Cloud syncing won't hurt.I'll stop there. The interface is jaw-dropping and easily understood. I hope the developers give nice updates to their customers. The biggest selling point: the UI. The biggest letdown: the feature list.
The best To Do manager out there....
By: Ghigo1961 - 01-Nov-2009
This is by far the most interesting and usable To Do solution I have seen on an iPhone. If, like me, you want to get away from the often distracting sophistications of GTD apps (such as the excellent Things) whilst maintaining elegant control of your To Do planning workflow, then this is pretty much it. It syncs beautifully with OSX sync services so you can use it directly in conjuction with iCal (although I prefer using BusyCal because it far exceeds iCal in terms of overall usability, without compromising on iCal's essential design simplicity). Definitely worth a try...I have tried every other task app out there and 2Do is the most original design. Great functionality and just enough eye candy to make it fun to use.

The UI is is just Gr8...fun to use...n has everything needed. Just if you can add some volume control for the alerts then will be Gr8 as at the moment when in office the ringer volume is set very low hence when there is an alert, I cant hear it...Please if you can work on this...it will be complete with the repeating reminders and additional features you are already working on v1.1.
Customer service is very quick and very good. Thanks guys U R DOING GR8 WORK!!!
Can you do something about synching with Windows operating system?...please...
Thanks ones again.

I used Things for a while but due to my laziness and unwillingness to open the app manually to see what I needed to do, I had to find a todo app with push. I wanted the best one. THIS IS IT. I love the interface. I love the way it's built. I will actually use 2do because of the push and email alerts. They are great. I only have 2 requests of features that are missing. 1. Badge alert customization. It shows a number badge that counts EVERY todo you have. This is confusing. Please make the badge customizable to where you can make it only display the number of todo's for today. 2. Repeating todos. I'd like to be able to create todos that happen frequently.Keep it up developers!
AWESOME(but needs tweeks)

love the UI, love that I can quickly tab to any list I want (I'm an inveterate listmaker) and drag and drop any todoto and from any list. it's almost a THINGS killer. would love to be able to turn off the badges both on the app icon and inside the list, would love more themes, would love to have lust background color be the same as tap but I know I'm being super nitpicky.great work!!! can't wait for other apps by these guys and updated to this one.
Visual Eye Candy and Very Functional
By: ncianca - Oct 19, 2009
2Do is a visually stunning todo manager with a user interface that is well thought out. As with their Guided Ways Groups application, I like the (optional) side tabs, allowing one to quickly jump to group of tasks without having to navigate through an extra set of menus or screens.
The task detail screen is clean and easy to read. One can also assign multiple alarms to a task.
While all the basic info one needs is in the tasks there are some additional fields that I'd like to see in future versions. One is the ability to attach contact(s) to a task, so that I can quickly call or send an email to that person. Another is the ability to attach location data / map to a task, a feature that is becoming common in iPhone apps everywhere. Because the layout of the detail records is nice an clean, adding additional fields should be a fairly easy proposition.
2Do should also incorporate support for urls (and url parsing) in its notes fields, which it currently doesn't do.
An companion desktop app for OSX allows the syncing of tasks to iCal, a welcome feature.
UPDATE: The desktop sync app has issues that may affect some users. It will sync every calendar you have in iCal, even subscribed ones, so you can end up with completely useless calendars such as "US Holidays". GW is aware of the issue and is working on solutions, but just keep this in mind. I took a star off my rating until the issue is addressed (it really is a 6 star app though).

nice as usual for this firm, visual part is really great and handy
but things like : showing badges for all undone , no matter whether they have a due date or not, is a bad thing for me,either selective badge icon for
tasks or only on those for today as ToDo etc.
maybe even rearrange calendars on the front page, not to have to go to the settings panel
but its going somewhere, who knows maybe some day it replaces ToDo, but those badges r killing me ,so its deleted till then :D
Another WINNER from Guided Ways!
By: fretrunr - Oct 23, 2009
Beautifully Done. I would like to see the reminders only show up on the icon when I set them to, as in alarms. Seems overkill to show EVERY 2Do on the Main Icon. Needs repeating tasks. Needs Import of Files and Images. Needs More color choices. I am sure Guided Ways has many of these planned for future upgrades. Also, I am on Mac OSX Tiger so another means to Backup all data would be nice.
This and GROUPS go together very well!

I've gone through more todo Lisa apps than a m'fer and so far 2do is in my top 3. I personally like a todo app that's a little bit on the busier vs a simple todo app. This is def busier. I've created so many calendar tabs it's ridiculous and any app that uses push is good in my book. A couple of things though...I think it would be great to be able to type in landscape mode and viewing + maneuvering in landscape would be better too in my opinion. Any possible way this could get added in the next update would be awesome. Otherwise all in all I think this is a solid app, user friendly, and nice to look at...good job!

This app is awesome but sometimes it feels a little cluttered. Some suggestions:MORE COLOR LABELS!! Definitely a must. The groups are great but we should be able to have projects. For example I have a "Personal" group but I want "House" as a project inside the group. We should also be able to hide default tabs like All. Sync with the Calendar on the iPhone instead of iCal. So MobileMe PC users are accomidated. Swipe to the right to complete app it would make the pencil animation feel right. Swipe to the left to undo. There's no need for there to be an add tab. Simply put a Plus button above the group tabs.Put settings in the Settings.app, you'll hardly use it anyways!Make the done bottom tab a tab at the bottom of the side pane instead.Make a sync all button under the all tab. The feature isn't for everyone! So there you have it guys, the bottom navigation bar is gone and the UI is all the better for it.

Decent app if you like the visuals, and want to sync with iCal. Sync to iCal was good, and would suit anyone who has a limited number of tasks, but wants to group them via calendar.
I prefer Things, but have a lot of tasks to manage in various projects, and I have tried every single task management app that offers sync to the desktop. Some good new features appear to be in the pipeline, the developer is responsive, and there were no problems with the app for me. A good 1.0 release.
Thank you! but Please fix..
By: Vakho - Oct 26, 2009
First of all I want to say that the app is fantastic. Thank you.
I have one bug that keeps crawling in this app: There are some calendars (like home, work, birthdays) that despite the fact thatI don't have them in my iCal, they still show up in the 2Do. I was able to delete "work" and "home" but "birthdays" won't delete. Please fix this otherwise I end up with 2 "birthdays" calendars in my 2Do. Also wanted to ask if it would be possible to have the alarm ring on the phone without Push activated. Thanks again!
The best app
