The perfect app!

This truly is the perfect app. Exactly what I've been looking for. This is the 2nd review I've written and I've had my iPod for over a year now. The 1st review was to express my utter dismay at how awful the app was. But this is the 1st time I've come across an one so fantastic that I simply had to give praise and say thanks to the developer(s). I do have one teeny tiny little suggestion. I have trouble with the redo button. It's so close to the pen color button that I'm constantly hitting the wrong thing. If there's a way to put a bit more space b/w the two that would be so helpful. But that little qualm doesn't even come close to deducting a star. A solid and completely earned 5 stars for this app.

I have been waiting for Fastfinga ever since seeing the videos and it doesn't disappoint. Fastfinga is fast and the UI is efficient. The options for inserting words with a thumb flick and automatically by time delay are supported. Multiple pages of writing and quick export to the photo library are great features. I had some trouble with selecting words but the cut, copy, paste menus which found in text based note taking apps are surprisingly found here as well. Word based selection found in Tanzaku Pad would be a great addition here. It would be interesting if each app could share features but tailored for different uses/markets. Fastfinga is a great app, but too bad I couldn't write this review with it.

A brilliant and wonderfully executed little tool. Good for taking notes, or adding a nice personal touch to an email. Tapping the thumb icon between words can be a bit clunky, but the 'scratch' feature is a marvellously interface touch; it speeds up the process tremendously, as you can keep your thumb on it and give it a little twitch to achieve the same. As ingenious (and appreciated) a feature as it is, however, it is unusable to me at present; I am left handed, and it's impossible for me to keep a thumb on there without negating the intuitive purpose of the app. I hope dearly for a 'lefty flip' option in an update soon (to swap the pencil/done buttons with the thumb icon), as I'll then be able to make full use of this splendid tool. Regardless, this app deserves 5 stars, for excellence in interface design if nothing else.

Thanks!New comment: I actually really do love this app. However I have some suggestions I hope are considered: 1: obviously I prefer old icon2: provide an option to title notes3: either save to image gallery or provide "folders" or titles that allow the user to access old notes from within the app environment...offer both options so that the app can be used more extensively in everyday life. For example I could open the 'grocery' folder for various lists I've made for groceries; the 'to do' folder for various to-do files I've made; and the 'interview' folder for various files I've made from interviews; etc. Old comments: I want to update this app but I'm scared because I hate the new icon! I wish there was a way to have a choice! That being said, this app rocks, I love it and use it all the time. I'm a writer and use it to take quick notes, ideas, etc. I just hate the new icon. When I saw it I fell to my knees and vomited all over my fine Italian suit. I got in my Ferrari and cried all the way home, committing several hit & runs. The new icon has turned me into a damn monster. I can't have sex with my wife anymore.

Worried it's getting too cluttered

This is a great app -- no question about it; but the latest version bothers me in two ways. First, the addition of icons is patently ridiculous and frightens me that unnecessary clutter is being added without clear thinking as to why. Second, in this most recent version, the accuracy of the stroke recording seems much poorer than in past versions. The strokes drawn on the screen following my finger seem too jagged and appear to be automatically simplified by the app. Fix these, add PDF export to email, and you'll have me back.

Use this with Evernote and you have a very powerful note taking, saving and searching solution. You will also have access to your notes from multiple locations and platforms. This is great innovation and execution.

Really does the job of simple data entry for notes simply by writing. Use this product with EverNote (which does handwriting recognitiion) for a spectacularly useful note-taking system.

Just curious to the developer, WHY ARE YOU CHANGING THE ICON BACK? The one you have is great. Now i will give it 5 stars icon is much better thanks Great app but please change the icon. I love the app but it looks bad on my phone. I'll give 5 stars when changed thanks for the great app.

Love the new update with tag and emojicon. But don't like the new icon with a blue hand, looks creepy. The old one is better.
Excellent quick note App for me! Together with Sketch Pad, no more pen and paper on the road.

Thus app works a lot better than I thought something like this would, and it actually turns out a lot like handwriting. I was a little disappointed you couldn't send a message directly as MMS, however this is likely due to security restrictions from Apple. What you need to do is save the message on the camera roll and then send, which is easy to do.

Can you please add the ability to save notes into folders and/sub folders. Also in the future to place the cursor anywhere on the page :)
I love this application and use it every day. Writing notes are easy. I no longer need to carry a pen or paper with me!
