This app is great, especially when there's more than one shopper in the household. The syncing between multiple devices is just fantastic. If only one of us is going to the store they can get all the stuff the other person needs; if both of us go we can split up to get out of there in half the time and while were shopping we can see what the other is getting. No duplicates at the checkout!And it's NOT too complicated. The people who think thus app is too cumbersome probably have a flashing "12:00" on all their clocks! Only complaint is that the current price of the full version ($5) is a little too much for us since that'd be $10 for both phones (what can I say...we're frugal!). Hopefully it'll come back down to $3 and then we'll certainly both upgrade.Thanks for such a great app! Apple should feature it on one of their commercials!

We recently upgraded from the free Lite version to the $4.99 version. What a difference!! Lite is a great starter list and it was hard to believe all the features that come in this free app -- especially the portal access and sync.But, for our family of 3 we needed more flexibility with number of lists and item volume per list. This app was a perfect way for us to test Grocery Gadget before upgrading into the full $4.99 version!!

The lite version only allows one list. We have enjoyed using the full version quite a bit. Especially handy/fun if you have multiple shoppers sharing the same list on their iPhone.
To make it possible for your data to transfer from lite to full you need have the grocery gadget account set up online. I went form iTouch to iPhone and was still able to get data.
If you are an iTouch user you will be able to view your list without wifi but not have auto update or link until back in wifi.

Great app - a lot of intuition (sorting, lots of built-in items to choose from, etc.)
One big improvement would be voice recognition. Having so many choices makes it a little hard to type enough letters to get it to find "Creamy Peter Pan Peanut Butter, 12 ounces," etc. rather than just saying "Peter Pan Peanut Butter" and having it show just a few options.
Also, an interface with your desktop would be a bonus. Sure, you can pay extra to use the Grocery iQ webpage, but why buy the Grocery iQ app when I already have this one? Sometimes one of us will have the phone and the other will want to put something in the list before we forget. So, some other way to input items would put this over the top and make it the #1 iPhone app.

I used this (free) version and had an issue. I emailed support and received not only a prompt response but he continued to work with me until it was resolved. I couldn't ask for better support if I had paid $1000 for the software. Naturally, I have now purchased the $5 full version. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. Don't take my word for it. Their try before you buy policy allows you to see for yourself.

I have tried other shopping list apps and this lite version beats them all. Definitly going to get th full version. My only recommendation and I'm not sure how possible this would be for an app, is to some how be able to scan the barcodes of items to create lists or add quantities to a list. That way when an item is out or when making a list all we would have to do is take a pic of the barcode. It would have to be easy and not a hassle to be worth it.

I have tried several apps for shopping lists. This is by far the best one. I upgraded to the pay version after testing out the free one. You can make groups so my wife and I can add things to the list and it updates both phones. We can e-mail the lists from the app, we use it all the time to prepare the lists and then mark items off as we shop. I have never given an app a Five star rating, but this one comes as close as any I have used.

I liked it so much I'm going to go buy the full version! Just because I always have a pretty big list. People are complaining it's limited to 20 items... Well yea, READ, it says it right there in description! And it's the lite version so you can see what you can get! The creators didn't have to do that yet they did! So stop complaining!
I've tried other shopping list apps and they are no where near as good as this one! I definitely recommend it!

I'm one that can't go shopping with out a list. I've used this to go shopping several times. I might get the full version. Its very easy to use. I like the picture feature that's great for sending the list off to others who might not know which item to get. I like that you can add items to the product list. I also like that you can input the pricing of items. Great app! Thanks
