Glad it's here!  rating of MobileMe iDisk

Now, let's make it even better. Emailing files as attachments should be available. Atleast from a MobileMe email account. Face it, when someone wants a resume attached they don't want to deal with logging into a linked file. Also, where is native Photo Album support? (with even a "transfer album to iPhone" option) Thanks so far.. Just take it all the way and you'll have no problem selling MobileMe. Recently it's been orphaned from the phone and even this is only a great holiday visit.

Someone stole my new 3G I-Phone  rating of MobileMe iDisk
By: Another Happy Camper - Aug 6, 2009

OMG, thank goodness i bought the Mobile Me package when I purchased my phone. I bought it because it auto-syncs my computer and phone and thats imperative for my work. But when my phone was stolen, I was able to go to the satelitte and see exactly where it was, 35 miles from my home, 30 miles from where I thought I lost it. When I called the police they said that GPS was not accurate, only within a mile. When I called the support phone # on Mobile Me the tech walked me thru everything and stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes, explaining the new system is pretty exact on location. I printed the satelitte map and headed out(with large man assisting for safety)as the police said they couldnt knock on every door. I located the exact apartment, called the police for back-up, with them explaining I shouldnt get my hopes up. I told them to tell the "person" I didnt want to press charges, I could press the button on Mobile Me and disbable the phone, I just wanted my phone. When they answered the door, my husband pressed the 2 minute alarm for Mobile Me, and the police heard it ringing inside the apt. They handed over my phone and I was more than a happy camper. Do not forget to "Enable GPS" when you download Mobile Me. My salesman did not emphasize that, thank goodness I have a 21 year old son that had done my set up and took care of that. It would have been useless had he not enabled the GPS. I love my I-Phone.

Perfect app for anyone with a MobileMe account! This really helps integrate my iPod into the mix with my laptop and desktop machines. I believe this one app alone is going to increase the practicality and usefuleness of this device. I bought the iPod because it was supposed to be the "funnest ever." What it's turnning out to be, however, is an amazing PDA I'm having trouble envisioning living without! Awesome app and very highly recommended!

Great app!  rating of MobileMe iDisk

It's a simple app that hooks up to your iDisk. Easy interface and you can add other people's public folder on it for easy access. Overall pretty good. It can open iPhone supported files such as doc, pages, ppt...etc. There was a note that said it won't be able to stream audio and video files off your MobileMe. I actually have some handbrake encoded movies on my iDisk (around 1+gb each, in h264, m4v format) and I was able to play it right off my iPhone 3gs. It took a little bit for the iPhone to load it, but it works! Overall, a great, simple, and solid app.

First of all, Apple you should rename the app to "MobileMe iDisk Viewer" so those users who don't know what the app is for or even didn't use it can know what this app is about. I love this app because now I can have a 52 GB iPhone and 20 GB of it is not "bound" to iTunes. You can view documents on-the-go and even share them easily. Just upload them using your computer. The only problem is Pages file viewing is flawed. Pinch zooming requires many times of trying. Please fix it. For those reviewers who are complaining about the $99/yr or the inability to upload files... Please: - Know what this app is for - Know what the review system is for - Recall what MobileMe gives you and why it worths $99.

I'm delighted with it  rating of MobileMe iDisk

I'm delighted with this. The only thing is that I wonder why they haven't done it before. One other reviewer commented that the speed was too slow "in the UK" but I live in the UK and the speed is absolutely fine for me.
I have use a great application called "Files" for ages. With that I have to keep a small group of files on the iPod Touch itself. However with this, I can access many more files while on the move, which surely is what "MobileMe" is all about.

Just what the iPhone needed! This App is perfect!! You can now take your office or file, pictures or music with you even if you forget your memory stick! Access your files from anywhere around the world! This is perfect for me because I can't log into mu MobileMe from work as it runs off a really old version of Windows and there is also no Firefox but now I can use my iPhone then email stuff to myself! This is a must have!!! Thank you Apple! 8-)

About time..  rating of MobileMe iDisk

Not sure why it took Apple so long to come up with this but anyway, glad it's here. As mentioned already.. Noticed one bug: the edit button on the opening page doesn't work. That aside this was a much needed app and has been implemented well. It runs quick and has an adjustable chache so you don't need to download the same file over and over. Looking forward to future updates.. Further integration with email attachments & Safari etc would be warmly welcomed.

Great App  rating of MobileMe iDisk
By: scubarider - Aug 3, 2009

I have just begun to use this app. I don't understand all the complaints about creating files like pdf's, etc. This is to view files, not create them. You can view anything you create on your desktop or laptop, like keynote presentations, slideshows, etc.. One reviewer who stated it remembers your login info is correct, but you can sign out under the settings button. It would be great to have a sign out button on the home page though. If you want to create, edit and upload files, there are plenty of apps to do that with. Most people seem to complain, even before they have learned to use the app correctly. You can upload pics directly from the photo app and view them on your gallery right on the iphone. You just have to sign in or send the subscription link to yourself and then bookmark it. Simple!
I'm sure Apple will be tweaking this as they read the reviews and requests. Thanks Apple, for bringing this to the iphone.

Great App  rating of MobileMe iDisk

We finally have a non 3rd party way to access our iDisk. This is useful to me because I upload a lot of photos and documents to my iDisk, and now I have a free way to access them on my phone. It is best to be on 3G or WiFi for the larger files. I only have one request for iDisk (not this app), I wish there was a program for my computer that automatically uploads files saved in certian folders so I don't have to manually upload them.

Makes MobileMe more worth the price  rating of MobileMe iDisk

When I first heard about this App I was a little skeptical. But since downloading I have realized how great this application really is. I have shared quite a few files with and with out passwords, and it worked flawlessly. Viewing personal files on my phone is very important to me. So being able to connect to all my files on MobileMe makes the $99 that it cost me for MobileMe totally worth it. I would definitely recommend this App to anyone with a MobileMe account

Much faster Load time than competitors.  rating of MobileMe iDisk
By: the CL - Jul 30, 2009

Much faster load time than mobile files, air sharing, and air sharing pro. This isn't designed to be what most people expect it is a viewer and can send a link. That's more than I need. To work with files, I just log into MobileMe on a comp and download the file. I use this to view on the go when I don't want to use my laptop. Side note to the idiot who complained about it not working because he didn't have 3.0, it says 3.0 is a requirement. When it was announced, it was announced as a requirement.

Perfect  rating of MobileMe iDisk

I resisted other apps because I knew Apple would answer the call. This app is really long overdue, but they got it right. Makes the annual subscription that much more valuable. So far so good. Immediately after downloading I was able to send a 400MB video file to a client from the movie theater after I left it uploading at the office. 20 minutes later I checked, saw the file, hit the share button, and made my deadline without missing family time. I know it sounds corny, but the app works, and now I don't need to spend extra minutes at the office waiting for uploads and shares!! Nice job.

I've just downloaded maybe one of the most useful iPhone Apps to come along for those of us who are very active on our MobileMe accounts. I'm a musician and since I'm away from my house more often than not, this App allows me to send potential clients Links to my Band's picture, bio, songlist, and even some of our "Recorded Live" mp3's. I don't even have to be in a Starbucks to accomplish this amazing feat. I'm also really thrilled with my new iPhone 3G S. Looking forward to much more hip productivity that "just works" the way it's supposed too.

Could Change, (In the "checking it out" stage.)  rating of MobileMe iDisk

I just signed up for the free trial, before the subscription, and so far I am pleased. There are numerous ways to access and store your data, no matter what it may be. I'm in the process of uploading my data. I've completed a few syncs, at least I hope. I'm certain the first one occured, and the rest are suppossed to be automated. My main complaints I have thus far are, the inability to synce your bookmarks with Firefox, and the 1GB upload limit. I do have to admit 1GB seems pretty generous from the small amount of research I've done. There is a data transfer limit of 200GB per month, we'll see if this becomes a problem. I do have to admit, as well, that the 20GB that you are initially supplied with is a little meager. There is an option to "upgrade" your account, but being in the trial stage, I do not have access to this option, yet. So, the "upgrade" price is unknown. Who knows if it'll be worth it. But, I must repeat, all in all I am satisfied. As time wears on my rating will remain the same, or degrade depending on how satisfied I stay.

You can view the /Sites and the /Web/Sites folder from the iDisk app, I do all the time. I also edit my website from my iPhone using other apps and upload the changes. But, then again, I'm not an idiot. It sounds like you use iWeb to make your 'blog' which is sad and has somehow given you a sense that you have any technological skill. The fact is champ that you would need an iWeb mobile to edit your crappy blog. Why not learn actual HTML, JavaScript/Java/CSS/etc. and make a proper site rather than complaining that their user friendly is too friendly and their hard is too hard.

BEAUTIFUL!  rating of MobileMe iDisk

I put off buying any of the third-party apps to wait for the REAL thing! The ability to create folders and move files around, and the ability to email folders, are much-needed updates. At least allow files to be moved into Public folders when away from a computer. Right now, one has to plan ahead too much before leaving one's computer behind in order to get the most from this app. Also, a Send FAX option would be great (to send documents to those pain-in-the-butt old-timers who still don't use email). I'm very happy with this first version! Great job, Apple!

Excellent program to view files from your iDisk in your iPhone. I love being able to view my pictures right in my phone. Well worth the download and it is free as long as you have a mobile me subscription which is well worth the $100 a year. I am able to transfer all my contacts and my calendar instantly and both ways with mobile me. I use outlook on a pc and it still works for my contacts and calendar and with my mac can transfer files from my iDisk to my iPhone.

The cloud(s) are parting  rating of MobileMe iDisk
By: WoWadict - Jul 31, 2009

OK so I origionally got the MobileMe subscription for security to hold backups of my financial data, using only 1/10 of the memory at any given time. The unstable 'cloud' seemed to be getting worse a year ago, but it just seems to be getting better by leaps and bounds now. This app makes me want to do so much more with this service. I considered getting one of the other apps but felt nickel and dime'd far to often. Free is not really free when u consider the $100 claims we shell out each year, so consider this app an extension of our service and a continual attempt at improving our experience for what we already pay for.

Slow, Locks Up and Crashes  rating of MobileMe iDisk
By: mikeyrogers - Jul 29, 2009

The first thing I tried to do is open a video. I was told that the server is not currently configured to do that. Okay...
So then I decided to open up a PDF. As it was loading up, I flipped over the page to look at the details. I flipped back to the progress bar. As soon as it finished and tried to load up the 8 MB file, the app crashed to the desktop. Alright...
I decided to give the PDF one more shot since it was the only thing that seemed to download. I checked the Recents tab and the only file showing up was the video that wouldn't even try to play. So I went searching for the PDF again. Even though it wasn't in the Recents tab, it still did not need to download again. It took a few seconds but opened up. I tried scrolling down. Nothing. I tried again. Still nothing. After trying several times to get the page to scroll, it finally budged out of its default position (which was for some reason zoomed into the document already). I tried zooming out by pinching. Nothing. I tried several more times. Still nothing. I tried scrolling feverishly, and nothing! After putting the phone down in defeat, I see all of my previous actions occurring on their own, playing catch up.
It's obvious this app was not ready for prime time and can't even work properly with the simplest of functions. Please Apple, spend just a little more time fine-tuning this app. We've waited this long. A little longer for a solid app probably won't hurt.
