Description:
ATTENTION: Please note the full version of Pocket Informant includes many features not included in this release such as customizable sync date ranges, push alarms, more flexibility with todos, and MUCH more! With over eight years of mobile calendaring experience, we have built simply the best personal information manager available on the iPhone. Features Include: - A calendar built the way an iPhone Calendar should be - Today, Month, Day, Week, Agenda, and To-do views - Swipe between Months, Days, and Weeks - Easily jump to any date in Day and Month views - Timebars to show your free/busy time at a glance - Expanded detail view to see events and todos on any day - Todos integrated in the Calendar Views - Send Appointment Meeting Requests - Getting-Things-Done (GTD) management of Todos - Franklin Covey ABC/1-99 Prioritization of Todos - Filters to quickly find active, due, overdue, and completed Todos - Starring/Flagging Todos - Supports up to 15 todos at one time Synching: - Syncs with Google Calendar and Toodledo - Calendar Data is separate from the built-in Calendar - Syncs one calendar one week forward and backward with Google Calendar - To sync with Outlook or iCal through Google Calendar please follow the Quick Start on our product page - Lite version does not support any direct Synching to desktop applications HOW DOES THIS DIFFER FROM OTHER TODO MANAGERS? Proper todo management is essential, but it’s only part of the picture. Pocket Informant is a full featured PIM, so it lets you focus on everything you do in a day - not just your todo list. We believe bringing your appointments and todos together in one place is more efficient than working in isolated calendar and todo management systems. Pocket Informant is designed to not force you into any one method of doing things - use our Todo View as rigidly or freely as you want, using GTD principles, Franklin Covey, or your own system. WHY DO I NEED THIS WHEN I HAVE A CALENDAR? We love our iPhones, but we saw some untapped potential for a full-featured PIM. Pocket Informant fills that gap. To start with, we made navigation very natural - simply swipe between the months, or tap the month name to jump to a new date. For those of us who have several events in a day, we built a time bar so you can see how your day is blocked off at a glance. When looking at a day’s activities, we show you your appointments AND todos together, and we give you nearly the entire screen to see them. We offer a convenient view to quickly see activities going on "today", and we built a great week view as well. For years, these and numerous other features have made Pocket Informant a must-have application for school teachers, soccer moms, salesmen and executives alike. If you are a user of Pocket Informant from another platform, be sure to note that while we have crafted the iPhone version from the same stock, it is a different application. Many of the most-requested features have been included and many more are coming. Of course, we spent time making sure to take advantage of the iPhone's unique capabilities in the process. A few of your favorite features may not have made it in these releases yet. Reviews:
So far so good By: Deviant Min - 25-Jul-2009 Version: 1.04 I've been using PI for years on my old ppc. Was very eager to obtain the full version for apple, but after reading the reviews, I'm quite shocked. Sounds pretty bad, and there's no 'release date' or 'recent update date' to inform us if there are improvements made to the application. Thus I'm using the light version at the moment and so far so good. I hope the developers acknowledge the reviews for the full version and change the description to reflect and inform if there are changes and improvements are made. This light version doesn't hang nor give any sluggish or slow performance, just missing the features from the full app. This app has been stable for me but I'll only purchase the full application if I get assurance that the developers are dedicated to make improvements and listen to it's consumers. Overall, PI clearly addresses the mising elements in a proper organizer. I hope that this app is given another chance and it's bugs fixed as well as updates clearly stated in the app description.
great app By: lena343 - 17-Sep-2009 Version: 1.04 i really like this app, i only got the light version and it is everything that i ever needed (without knowing that i needed it) i can sync it between the PC, Laptop and my partners iPhone, so we always know what we have got planned that day. no more paper diaries and copying one thing after another everywhere, no more silly texts to reming each other of appointments, no more EVEN shopping lists!!! booked in to go shopping on monday (or whatever) in the note section you write what you need and add it as you go along. then before we go shopping we sync, bye and voula - very happy family indeed :) thanks apple
1.01 Significant Performance Enhancements - Great to Use By: SteveHK - 13-Apr-2009 Version: 1.01 I have used 1.00 since issue and the release of 1.01 a few hours ago sees a significant improvement in the speed of switching from one view to another; has resolved, for me, a sync problem and introduced a number of further options and features. I continue to believe that this is my No.1 "must have" application on my iPhone. The Developer has advised on his forum that 1.02 is in progress. This will see further speed improvements and other enhancements. He has set out in general terms a longer term program for 1.1 etc, which is the way in which he has developed this program on other platforms. He also actively invites and responds to suggestions for additional features as well as requests for assistance with issues. For me the interface is intuitive and I have not needed to look at the user manual (which is available in the forum) to carry out settings adjustments that I want to make. In this regard I do not understand the earlier comment made about the interface.
I really like this app! By: wayne0211 - Sep 19, 2009 Version: 1.04 This app is really great! It has a great UI, and the ToDo portion covers all the types of ToDo items that I need. I really like the calendar portion. It has views to cover every angle of your time that you need. And I really like the customizable repeat feature, with great flexibility and options to use. I would like to see more primary colors in the calendar portions for different calendars instead of the weird shades of colors. And I would definitely purchase the full version if the price was lower. $12.99 is too high for this app. I would pay as much as $4.99, but compared to other apps, this one is on the expensive end of the scale. But it is a great app.

Nice.... But something important its missing By: blue sphere319 - Aug 16, 2009 Version: 1.04 I was about to upgrade to the paid app when I read on some reviews that the alarms doesn't work.... I can believe so I try myself and....so sad its true, you can set them them in the iphone but they doesnt work.. No sound at all.. Maybe they work on google calendar, but I rather prefer to take along my iphone that my laptop.. Its a little more light... If they can make the alarms works on the iphone it will be perfect
Love this but..... By: JBlondie - Aug 14, 2009 Version: 1.04 So far, I really like this app. I have a couple of complaints though....alarm doesn't seem to work. I've already blown 10 bucks on Smarttime and the alarm doesn't work on that one either. I would really like the alarm feature to work for once. Secondly, for some reason I can sync from Google Calender to the app but not the other way around. Any entry I make into the app doesn't sync with Google Calender. Am I doing something wrong???? The syncing needs to work both ways.
Over all, a good App! By: Ezra4no1 - Aug 2, 2009 Version: 1.04 The App works well. Most of the complaints that I have noticed from other users stem from their lack of reading about the app in it's current state from the developer's site - which they are aware of and are making improvments and updates. I have tried several of the other top rated "To Do" apps from the iTunes store, spending literally 20 plus hours trying to get them to work in a way that I have been use to from other PDAs and smartphone devices and this app comes the closiest to what I would of wished Apple to have included in the iPhone \ iTouch. The App has room to grow - but over all is the most complete and functional App I have found for the iPhone and am looking forward to the developers future updates and improvments.

Good App By: MommaOfTwo0207 - Jun 13, 2009 Version: 1.03 Great Calendar, I love that I can color code things very easily. My only complaint is that the full version is to expensive ($7-$10 is more my price range). I would love it I could use picture icons to show up on my month view. I was a HUGE fan of Agenda One's calendar when I had my Blackjack 2 I miss the icons in the month view. I'm watching for the price to drop some on the full version then I will be buying it. I love having my todo's right there with my calendar, much better than having to seperate apps!!!
Quite good By: davyhouston - Jun 10, 2009 Version: 1.03 This app - like the WM version - will keep evolving. I would guess that background alarms (impossible until Apple releases OS 3.0) will make almost everyone ecstatic. If you have been a WM user, you MUST remember that Alex and his team are tireless; constant updates and the integration of user requested features happen on a very regular basis. I'm using the lite version right now, but will purchase the full version on the 17th - or whenever 3.0 is released.

Finally an all in 1 organiser By: mtcoz - 03-Sep-2009 Version: 1.04 The small fortune I've spent on To-Do's and organiser based apps is rediculous. I've only been using this for 1 day and already I will be doing away with the standard iPhone calendar & all the other countless apps previously installed. I love the google sync function, the ability to invite attendees, and the view that allows me to see the daily calendar with all active to-do's on one screen is priceless. I'll certainly be upgrading to the full version. Now my iphone is complete. Another Gr8 app
Finally a decent calendar ! By: InaSo - 07-Jul-2009 Version: 1.03 Absolutely marvelous. I have been looking for a calendar to sync with Google for a few days now and downloaded lots of them... I too think it's essential to see the whole day at once. Syncing with Google Calendar was easy and quick. All the alarms where included - will use it for a few days to ensure all is working well and then I gladly pay for the full version just to support the programmers. The full version allows you to sync for more than just 4 weeks at a time, but the free version is very functional and would be good enough to use on a daily base. THIS IS THE BEST AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
