Most awesome task managment ever... By: happylittlehound - Jan 1, 2009 Version: 1.0.3 I have been a pro account holder for exactly one year, even before it was available for the iphone, and have enjoyed it immensly. It keeps me very orgainized, reminds me of the menial tasks that get forgotton during the day, and the cow is really cute! If you are like me and hold your iphone close at all times, this is the best task managment app. Its free, unless you upgrade to Pro, then its $25 a year; and very well worth it. Going to be renewing mine as soon as Im done with this review.
Fantastic! By: filipx - 24-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0.3 Probably the best todo app on the iPhone. It's a shame that most of the negative reviews here are related to the subscription model of RTM totally ignoring the fact that other leading todo apps for the iPhone charge both for the iPhone app and the desktop app. RTM is a yearly subsciption service offering a seamless sync solution and a great set of features not available in other iPhone todo apps.
Highly Recommended!
This IS awesome By: si_bedford - 20-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0.3 This is an excellent app help track your tasks. Combined with the website and ability to email in your tasks and to receive email reminders it's superb. However it's £17.50 a year so there are cheaper out there - but there are no other options that are cheaper that do all that this does.
It's so annoying that people are giving this 1star because they can't read. Ignore them! It's £17.50 a year but its superb and the more I use it the more I love it - it's changed my task management life!
By the way Rex who said it didn't sync is wrong - syncs brilliantly.
RTM rocks! By: Vinniefm - Dec 30, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 And the iPhone app is a fantastic compliment to what was already a completely solid service. Gmail integration, gCal integration, iPhone access, not to mention the super slick RTM.com site... All of you who can't read and are thus complaining about the PRO fees are either idiots or you don't really need a task manager. Go get one of the plethora of crap free to-do apps from the store and move along.
Keep up the good work RTM.
Great app, have your todo list anywhere! By: Casquith - 17-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0.3 I really like this app, it's one of the most polished and feature packed applications I've used. Now I can access my todo list from web or iPhone and is fantastic. I can see why people get confused if they don't read the terms, that the iPhone app is free but the Pro RTM service is not.
I signed up for the pro service because the web interface was so good, I was trying omnifocus which is great but I need access on different platforms and places. RTM is fantastic, the iPhone app is one of the most polished and professional apps I've downloaded.
Does exactly what it should! By: moominman - 22-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.3 Having used RTM on my PC and mobile phone for a while, I decided to up the ante and go for the itouch version. The PC version is great, and the mobile phone version is adequate while out and about, but the screen is just a bit too small when you have lots of to-dos in your lists. The itouch version has not disappointed me, and I can see why it won an Apple application award. It is very easy to use (I would say easier than a PC to input your tasks) and syncs with the RTM "cloud" quickly. I can still add/complete tasks while out and about, and haven't missed the internet connection for syncing (especially as I have wifi at home and work). Last night I was making a grocery list, typing the list directly into the itouch whilst checking store cupboards - then I sat down at my PC and the same list was already there! Only one niggle: it feels like you have to make several taps on the screen to complete a task, but as time goes on you get used to it. Can't understand why people complain about this costing money - it's less than a coffee a month!
If you use lists to organize your life how are you coping without RTM? By: Myer1 - 17-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.3 If like me you use lists to manage all aspects of your life then you need Remember the Milk. And if you have an iPhone and use RTM then this App is essential. It's changed the way I interact with RTM, improved my efficiency and this is now my preferred way to interact with RTM. It's a joy to use and being able to synchronize lists in real-time and see them on multiple platforms, at home and at work makes it an outstanding app. If you don't use RTM then perhaps you should but don't rate the app low because you didn't understand what you were downloading.
Replaced three Apps with RTM By: Jeff Donald - Dec 28, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 This application not only helped me helped me organize my life, but also cleaned up my iPhone by allowing me to delete three other apps. RTM combines simple list abilities, tagging, daily appointments, activities and more into a very powerful organizer. I previously struggled to get the multitude of list apps to do what I needed. RTM integrates and co-ordinates my tasks, daily appointments, work projects and lists. Everything can be sorted and searched with the use of tags and smart filters. I get the constant reminders I need via SMS and email. Daily changes and updates can be made via the same SMS and email. Everything syncs and integrates tightly into the Mac desktop app and my published iCal calendar can be seen by selected family and friends. RTM has saved me many hours of frustration and gained be hours of productivity. Thanks RTM for such a great application.
So many uses. By: madmuso - 10-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.2 Yes, there is the catch that you need to be a pro user in order to use this app after 15 days but the good side of that is that you get to "try before you buy". I was so impressed by all the things that I can do with this that I signed up for a pro account shortly after trying this app out. I love the fact that you can create unlimited lists and I've now got tasks grouped according to which area of my life they come under. As well as being able to place a gadget on my gmail and iGoogle page, I've now also got a desktop gadget which can be used offline. There are so many ways of getting reminders that I'm unlikely to forget anything that's listed. You get all of this for about £17 for the year which is pretty good value especially as you can add to your lists via the web, offline or via the iphone.
Superb, a few comments on the subscription charge By: JAKSH - 26-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.2 The developers description seems to make it clear that it requires a Pro Account on RTM.com (which IMO is worth every penny of the $25 yearly subscription charge), but perhaps the eventual charge should be made totally clear on the first line. However, given that the application is totally no risks I can see the developers point of view on the "get them hooked with the free download line". I think it's also worth pointing out that the standard web based remember the milk service always has and always will be free. Whatever the rights and wrongs of subscriptions and description wording, this application is ultra-polished, stable, syncs quickly and seamlessly and all in all is a real pleasure to use. The AJAX powered web interface is very solid, and the Google Gears integration makes it (almost) as good as a native client. However, I have to say it would be nice if a native OS X Cocoa application was made for Pro customers. In my opinion this is the only viable tasks application for people who use multiple OSs (I use Linux, Windows and OS X on a daily basis).

Life is not Free By: dorcino - Dec 18, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 This program is great, and for those who complain that you must pay to use this, write the app/service yourself then give it out for free.
This is the problem with the AppStore, lots of people who think they deserve it all, and give 1 star reviews cause they can't get everything they want, cause they assume people should just work hard for them and give them thier work for Free cause they deserve it.
Just get the app, pay the service fee and you won't be disapponted.
Everything you could have wished for ... and then some By: flashdyke - 07-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.0 Just love this app. Been waiting and waiting for RTM to develop their native app, and was wondering what could possibly take so long ... I understand now. Not just a program that works, but one that has exceeded my expectations ... and beautifully implemented as well. I'm going to start singing soon ... One proviso though, I only downloaded this yesterday, so might very well hit upon a glitch at some point, but right here and now, this is my absolute favorite app. Thanks for all the very obvious hard work.
Worth the money By: Matt Mizell - Dec 16, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 I was pretty disappointed in Apple when I learned they had no way to sync the task lists from Outlook along with my Calendar and Contacts. In an attempt to find the best alternative to Outlook, I downloaded app after app, and have now tested every "To Do" list that has been made available on iTunes. Hands down, RTM is the best of them all. Obviously I would prefer not to have to pay $25/yr for the Pro Account, but in exchange for the productivity syncability, the $25 is a very small price to pay. Use the 15-day trial to see if you like the interface, but don't waste that time. If you download it and don't use it for two weeks, you won't know the benefits of the app and will probably be inclined to delete it based on the pricetag alone. If you use the trial you will more than likely also come to the realization it is worth it.
I use it every day By: Moolover - Dec 16, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 I love this app! And not just because the icon is cute, or the interface is beautiful, but because it works for me. I need something easy, and complete (so I can trust that I'll have everything in there). If it's not easy, I won't use it, no matter how beautiful it is. I have never written a review before, but after seeing the poor overall rating, I couldn't sit by and watch. I use this app every day on both my computer and my phone - it's got everything in it, and it works wonderfully. Worth every penny of the $25. And if you don't want to spend the money, do the free app on your desktop.
If you are unsure about whether or not to get this: By: Macness - Dec 15, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 Remember the Milk is a free web task management system with a LOT of power. If you are a Gmail user, this is even sweeter. If you are a Firefox user EVEN sweeter. Try all the benefits from using this ON the site first (free to register and use - forever). If you like it and you want to try the iphone app you got 15 days. If it's a must for you - PAY THE PRO MEMBERSHIP. It says its free for members on the first line of the description of this app, so I don't know why everyone is griping about it.
Awesome, Don't Let The Idiots Fool You By: ShockMe - Dec 15, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 This application is for people who subscribe to the Pro version of RememberTheMilk.com (RTM), which costs $25.00 per year. So everyone who has posted a negative review complaining of bait-and-switch or that the service is not free are idiots. Ignore them. If you use the Pro version, this app is awesome. I've been using the free version of RTM for about a year now, but I've only been a Pro user for a day or so and I love it. Having access to my to-do list while I'm away from a computer is awesome. I can add and modify on-the-fly. It works as advertised. If you use the Pro version and have an iPhone, get this app. There's no reason not to. If you don't use the Pro version, go away. This isn't for you. If you don't use RTM, this app comes with a free 15 day trial for you to check it out. After 15 days, you'll only be able to access the system via a web browser. Bait-and-switch. Wow. Just wow.
Best to-do app for the iphone By: mebpenguin - Dec 13, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 I've been looking for a solid to-do app for the iphone for quite awhile and this one is the best I have used. My major concern is getting an application that allows you to synchronize between your computer and iphone as well as gives you the power and flexibility you need to manage multiple projects. RTM does both beautifully. What really sets it apart from other applications like Things or Omnifocus is the speed and ease of synchronization. With Omnifocus you would have to wait around forever when the app launched for the synchronization to occur. With things you had to sync it with the desktop manually over a Wi-Fi network and the implementation was buggy as it would not work on all wireless networks. RTM, by contrast, syncs in seconds when launched without me even noticing. To those complaining about the $25 a year for the Pro service to use this, I think it's well worth it. Give it a try for the 15-day period to see for yourself.
Great GTD iPhone App w/Pro webservice By: Ken 1.0 - Dec 13, 2008 Version: 1.0.3 I have been a PRO RTM user for over a year and the online tools are great. I have wanted an application that interacted with the web service API for some time. I think it is great to have all this information on my iPhone. The next step is to produce integration with sync services via iCal or just create an iCal plugin like Plaxo did. You guys already wrote this application in Objective-C so it can't be that hard to make a Mac Desktop version too. (my 2 cents). GREAT IPHONE APP and GREAT WEB APP!!
FINALLY, but well worth the wait! By: tallpjt - Sep 18, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 Remember The Milk is easily the best Web-based to-do list/productivity app out there, and most of us heavy RTM users have been waiting with bated breath for this much-anticipated native iPhone app. Even after a patience-testing wait, this app absolutely delivers. It's uber-fast, it seamlessly syncs with the Web-based product, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch to-do list service to carry with them. A++!!!!
Just what I wanted By: Jazzpreacher - Dec 11, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I've played around with a lot of productivity apps (paid and free), including Things (liked it a lot), OmniFocus (unwieldy for me), iProcrastinate (wish the sync was ready), and What Tasks (almost there). I've liked parts of all of them. That was the dilemma, I liked a little of everything but not one app completely. RTM is a home run for me, nice interface, adaptable lists, online sync, the works. I've even gotten over not wanting the little cow face on my home page. As for the subscription - yes, I dropped the $25 and I will do it again. Look at it as an investment of a little over $2 a month to stay organized and take the plunge.
