Reviews:
This is great .. By: Smart 101 - 03-Oct-2009 Version: 1.12 I tried all the calendar apps going but this one is definitely the best and very good for being free. I don't need to sync with Google so won't be paying for the paid version which seems rather pricey bearing in mind it only offers a few more features and definitely not £5.99's worth! Having said that I think the lite version is well worth paying for as it offers a great interface and gives me everything I need. Good stuff all round ..
The best calendar for iPhone By: ReconDog - 09-Jan-2009 Version: 1.06 It's way better than the built in calendar - just a shame about the limitations of apps not being able to run in the background, so it can't do pop up alerts.
I use this in conjunction with Appigo's Todo - no sync, obviously, but this for events and Todo for tasks are way better than trying to stay organised with the iPhone calendar.
One nice touch about this app I really like - one multi-day event shows across all the affected days, and not just in the start day - the way it should be!
Fantastic By: moderndayeeyore - 13-Nov-2008 Version: 1.03 I have been tempted by the paid-for version for a while but have held off because I don't need synchronisation with Google. This free version is absolutely perfect. It has great calendar views, useful customisations and it's quick and easy to use. Would like to see previews of styles in settings menus, and some way in the calendar view to tell a tentative appointment from a confirmed one. Also would be really useful to be able to create different calendars such as home, work, study etc as you can with the built in calendar app, but this app is more than worthy of 5 stars, so give it a try!
By far the best free calendar around By: occoloradoguy - Sep 12, 2009 Version: 1.12 It's easy to use and let's you see text in the monthly view. It seems that many of the negative reviews are because it doesn't give the bells and whistles away or can't do things based on apples restrictions. Considering everything you get, I can't see how it got any bad ratings
I would like to see some type of to-do list integration and most importantly have the ability to interface contacts with the calendar.
I love it! By: orientbear - 21-Jan-2009 Version: 1.06 You'll love this if you're familiar with google calendar. You can automatically sync it with the google calendar. If you want alerts, you can set it in google. Google can either email you a daily agenda and can even send SMS reminders to you for free (you need to set it in google calendar setting). You can also link public calendars (eg public holidays, prayer timings - for singaporean muslims, search for Muslim prayer times by fajar MF, etc) to your google calendar and sync it to saisuke. Since I also share my calendar with my loved ones I just have to type my appts here and sync it to google and they can check my shedule anytime, anywhere. So, of course i bought the full version after trying the free one. Enjoy!
Finally, a calendar that works By: - Aug 16, 2009 Version: 1.12 After looking at all kinds of apps, this one works like the paper calendar I used to keep, and it is free. You can see your items as a list, for the day, week, month, and it has a year calendar for reference. It syncs one way with Google, something I couldn't care less about, but if you want two-way syncing, buy the paid version. It offers lots of room for notes and long descriptions, but also makes it easy to add short items with minimal typing. Making duplicate entries is also fast. And the online documentation is the most thorough I've seen for any app. A big thank you to the developers for this great calendar and for the improvements.
Works for me! By: Treelovin1 - May 27, 2009 Version: 1.10 After reading reviews I figured WTF it's free.. Very pleased with this app. Has all features I was looking for. Easy to use. Can completely customize to my needs. I don't need to sync anything won't need paid version, and can get rid of single use/purpose birthday app.
Thanx for a useful and free app that's worth space on my iPhone. ( change the icon. It should be as well designed as the app. !!! )

great! By: Suki scj - May 1, 2009 Version: 1.10 Love this app! Even if Apple won't let the app use reminders, is there a way to add a feature that gives you the little red circle w/ # indicator on the app icon itself? That would seem to work almost as well, and then a reminder could pop up when you open the calendar. That seems to be something that would let you know something needs to be addressed, but still comply w/ Apple rules. But otherwise, I have yet to find a calendar (iphone, computer, or otherwise) that I love this much!!!
Best Calendar/Schedule App By: Ccrn52 - Mar 18, 2009 Version: 1.06 I looked through all Apps - None had the highly useful monthly view with appt/to do tags - best part; but also has daily, weekly, list, year views (would be great if tags could be viewed on yearly view).
I have a rotating 2-week base schedule, but often schedule extra work days. Can copy paste same or request repeating appointments by any form, ie, weekly, every 2,3,4 days and on. Can have a plethora of color codes.
Read quite a few of the reviews - agree it would be highly useful to have an alert reminder. A great app and worth every bit of the cost.

The best free calendar By: SaiSuke Freak - Feb 27, 2009 Version: 1.08 This is the best calendar for free on the iphone. I love it. When I was looking for a calender that suited me and I found it in this one. I threw away my agenda after i got this. I love the color code, the automatic repeat and the copy and paste. This one is the best and would get more stars if i could give more. There is a couple of things I hope you put on this and that is more color codes, repeats by specific dates and a reminder alarm. Once this is done it would be perfect and you need to charge an arm and a leg. I am glad I got it FREE!!
Beats the preloaded iPhone calendar hands down! By: mrsgator - 28-Apr-2009 Version: 1.08 My husband works shiftwork and my son works part-time, so I was looking for a calendar to keep track of their shifts. This is perfect. I love the monthly view where I can see their shifts at a glance (instead of just the meaningless dots on the Apple calendar). And I can even tell day shifts from night shifts by using different colour coding. The ability to copy also makes entering next week's schedule a breeze. If you could add alerts/notification then I would use this as my only calendar. Apple should consider adding this as their standard product with the iPhone!
Great App. By: Teckzone - 9-Jan-2009 Version: 1.06 This calender has the best interface of all. It is designed to keep track of appointments at a glance throughout the month. Because it is an appointment based calender, it desperately needs two improvements: first a link to contacts from task setup so the contact info/address(for GPS) can be accessed from the calender. Second, a simple red circle notification icon to let one know there is an upcoming appointment; not everybody wants to use the data or e-mail services for alerting. If these 2 improvements are added, this application will become perfect & I will buy the full version in a heartbeat, as will a lot of others. I hope the developer considers this.
Good functionality By: tejcore - 12-Feb-2009 Version: 1.06 This app has great functionality and is more or less what I require from a calendar until apple sort out their act and allow direct gcal syncing to the native one.
I agree with one of the comments above that the layout is very clutered and aesthetically it's pretty awful. I think that to justify the price of the full version, visually this needs improvement, but it's a great app for those who wish to access their calendar without syncing with iTunes.
Easy to use By: Jengagirl - Sep 5, 2009 Version: 1.12 I spent some time with saisuke and pocket informant lite. Overall I like this program better as you can view text on the monthly calendar, an option that PI says they will add in the future but one that I need now. I was tempted by PI's current sale that makes it the same price as saisuke's full version. PI also promises alarms but per saisuke's FAQ, iPhone does not currently allow this feature. I'm sure if iPhone allowed it, saisuke would also update to include it. As is, you can set alarms via google calendar to send you a text.
While PI has built in todo lists, I found it cumbersome unless you are familiar with the GTD format. Granted I just use my calendar to keep track of myself (and my husband), so I have no high powered meetings or projects to manage. I use To Do as a separate app that I find much simpler than the PI to do functions. I don't need my to do list integrated into my calendar, just an electronic post it note.
As I just upgraded to the full version of saisuke, I am saddened that I can't find a way to transfer the info from saisuke free to the full version. My reason for upgrading from the free version was that I wanted 2-way sync.
Best Calendar yet for the iphone By: palmConvert well almost - Jan 8, 2009 Version: 1.06 I've been a palm user for years and have been using one of the best integrated PIM apps that I could find for it for about the same amount of time. While excited about the iphone and it's capabilities, I found it wanting in many areas compared to my palm. One of them was calendaring, where I live most of the time. While this app isn't the cure all for my woes, it goes a very long way in meeting my needs. Not being a Gcal user, I'm ok with whatever it's limitations might be. The only thing that I'd like to see is an alert option for appointments. I understand from reading the FAQ that the iphone OS doesn't permit this. The native iphone calendar app has it.. this app should too ... it's the only limitation that keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating .. nice job!
Best Free Calander By: Aori - Dec 18, 2008 Version: 1.06 I have been enjoying this app. over the few weeks that I've had this new 3G iPhone.
The features, layout and customizations make it feel ad if I was in my Google Calander.
Just one concern...
I can't change what type of input I'm making a note for. As in everything is a green shaded appointment.
My option to change this to anything else; conference, birthday, meeting, etc. is non fuctional.
The option itself under settings is greyed out and not "clickable".
Help?!!
Love this app! By: JenX3989 - 20-Jan-2009 Version: 1.06 This hands down way better than the built-in calendar app on the iPhone. Its interface is aesthetically very pleasing and it is very easy to set up appointments and recurring events. The only main setback, which is Apple's fault for not allowing this, is the inability to set up alerts for upcoming appointments. I don't use Google calendars, so the paid version of this program would not be of much use to me. I love the ability to use different colours and visually see events at a glance, unlike the built-in app which only shows events as a single dot on the monthly view and has no weekly view option. I haven't found any other app that comes to the beauty and functionality of this app, and this version is free! Love it!
