Excellent compliment to the web interface  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Tom from DC - Mar 10, 2009
Version: 1.2
I use Toodledo's web interface for long-term planning and managing those tasks that I can perform at a computer. Otherwise I use their iPhone app to tell me what I should be working on wherever I happen to be. It's also pretty good for quickly capturing new tasks -- I can typically get the name, priority level, and due date of a task entered via iPhone in a matter of seconds, fast enough not to be too disruptive. Some of the critical reviews here have useful insight that I hope the company will heed as time permits. But count me as a highly satisfied user, as well as a new fan of GTD.

Great todo app! Has changed my life!  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: JimmyRoy - Mar 7, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
I chose this because I tried out their website and liked it. It was important to me to have the online component since half my tasks are at work on my PC and the other half at home on my Mac. That requirement ruled out Things since it is not online and works only on Macs. I keep a tab in Opera always open to Toodledo in both places and this app works and syncs perfectly with that setup. No matter where I am, I have my todo list now. This app and the companion website has literally changed my life. I've gotten more done in the last two weeks than what I would normally put off and eventually remember to do in two months, if at all. I am now Getting Things Done! I am so committed to these guys that I upgraded to their $14.95/year pro plan, even though I don't plan on using any of the pro features, just because I want Toodledo to succeed.

Nice App  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: killyourjets - 26-Nov-2008
Version: 1.3.1
This is shaping up to be the best to do app on the iPhone, really like the fact you can use this with simple details shown or with lots of details and also that so much work is going in to improve this app with each release. I have got this syncing with outlook tasks very sucessfully using the third party app. It's a slick and fast app with a good interface. The comments above about the badge not updating the number of tasks is the same for all Apps that use a badge Apple have not allowed developers to do this and sounds like they are experiencing problems with their palm software.

Great Task App  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: ScottNWDW - Feb 25, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
I really like this app and the website for Toodledo. I started using ToDo by Appigo when it came out. A few months later when this app came ot I got it right away. From what I could tell both ToDo and Toodledo are basically the same app functionally,
In some ways though, being a long time Franklin Covey user, I just wsh there was a task app that used their methodology rather than GTD.
One thing I would like to see is that rather than showing only the tasks that are due today, I'd rather it show all "active tasks" such as tasks that have a start date and a due date. An example may be that a report is due on the 15th, but when I set up the task I may put the start date as the 1st. I'd like to see the task appear on my task list starting on the first, and stay there, if not completed prior to, until the due date, at which point it could either be mrked as complete or the next day go past due.

One of my top 5 iPhone apps  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: mesae - Feb 16, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
I use this all the time with my Toodledo Pro account and I find it convenient, well thought out and very usable. Recent updates have improved it also. I think the fact that I use this all the time, that it's fast and easy enough to use on the fly in real time (instead of writing on paper and then transcribing) speaks well of this app's usability. I hardly ever use the regular web version anymore, even when I'm sitting in front of a computer; It's that good. For those complaining about lack of subtask support, you need to pay for a pro account (I think it's about $15/year). Using this app combined with Toodledo I have increased my productivity greatly. I hardly ever forget things anymore. If this was the only third party app on my iPhone it would be justified.

A must for list makers  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: jenlightenment - Feb 5, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
I absolutely LOVE this program! It makes it a lot more customized when you can make different folders for each category of your list making. I have one for school, for personal, for moving (or any other specialized project you're working on). I love being able to put the task in there and set a due date, then only focusing on the day's or week's tasks. This helps me prioritize my busy life full of various things to do. A real neccessity for people who just have too many things to do and can't keep up. It's my little digital secretary.

Versatile, graceful and effective  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: whereverigo - Jan 28, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
Toodledo is amazing. In a quest to find the ideal app, I installed so many I've lost count. Ive tried them all. Toodledo is by far the most outstanding. The best part is how easily I was able to integrate and sync with my iCal. Since I also have Mobile Me, everything everywhere is always in sync. I set up all my life goals, resolutions and weekly/daily priorities and am actually making leaps in these areas, where I've previously been so prone to losing focus. Tasks are so much more meaningful for me in this context. Toodledo lets you customize tons of stuff; yet the default settings are generally ideal for most users. Very well-thought-out. I'm a User Experience analyst and manager, so I know that there is nothing more challenging than making an app that is feature-rich seem simple. Toodledo has met this challenge and exceeds expectations. (Note: I really recommend setting up and logging into your online Toodledo account. Among other things, if you have a Mac, you can grab a very cool dashboard widget.)

Powerful & efficient  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: DogsAndCatsOhMy - Jan 21, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
Excellent port of powerful web interface to the iPhone. Toodledo won the "Internet Task Manager Smackdown" for me about a year ago, and the iPhone app is no different. Works best with GTD-style micro tasks as huge amounts of detail dumped in Notes isn't easily accessible, but it's all there if you really need it. Perfect companion to the web interface, especially with Gmail and GCal integration so everything syncs up neatly. Now if only Google released a real contact manager that synced with the iPhone and then Toodledo hooked in, I'd give it 6 stars.

Toodledo+reQall+Evernote=Perfect  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Derblutenkat - Oct 3, 2009
Version: 1.5.3
I searched and tested GTD apps for a few months. Literally 30-40 apps. Online, iPhone, desktop, desktop integrated with online, online integrated with iPhone. All of them. Toodledo provided the MOST flexibility when adding additional info to tasks (length, context, folder, goal, start date etc.) organizing those tasks and accurately keeping top priority items in your face. In addition, reQall integration with your Toodledo email account makes adding new tasks as easy as talking into your phone. Literally no effort. Then when time is available just open Toodledo and assign task data as necessary to those new tasks. With a reQall pro account you can then setup notifications that are location specific (using GPS) and pop up for a Toodledo task when you're around the location a specific task needs to be completed. reQall's recent integration with Evernote turns the Toodledo/reQall/Evernote partnership into a powerhouse unrivalled by ANY other GTD system. The price of the Toodledo app and a pro account online comes to a measly $17 which is a STEAL when compared to other GTD apps.

Keeps getting better  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Nsaudade - Jan 12, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
I started with Things then Todo and now Toodledo. All have their strong points but Toodledo is hands down the best. The developers are so responsive to users and provide all the important configuration options that just aren't available in the others. Combine that with frequent updates (not just bug fixed) plus a lower cost and Toodledo rocks. The only thing the competition has are prettier icons.

Perfect compliment to the website  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Group Captain - Jan 9, 2009
Version: 1.4.1
If you subscribe to the GTD (Getting Things Done) approach to task management, this is the To Do list for you. I have been using the web version for 18 months, and between the ability to email tasks to toodledo, and now the iPhone native app, there is never a moment in my day when I can't complete or add tasks. The last couple of revisions have really improved the app. It simply rocks. If you are a first-time user, think a bit about your folders and Contexts. For daily operation, the Status view is your GTD friend.

Worth every penny  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Horsehappy - Sep 29, 2009
Version: 1.5.4
I have bought & tried 3 other "task organization" apps. I have Been using this one now for over 6 months. It is by far the best I have used from a usability perspective. Others that i used were needlessly complicated, more expensive and i have deleted them entirely now that i found Toodledo. I love that i can access my list from my phone or any computer with internet and my list Synchs all of my entries. Each update has made the App that much better.

Best To Do for a living in a world of Macs and PCs  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: SeldomSean - Jan 4, 2009
Version: 1.4
I tried out a number of applications for tasks (looking for something with a bit of GTD focus but not a must). For awhile I had settled on Things due to a nice clean interface and what looked like a promising future. Three issues, though: 1) Cultured Code started to be really slow in releasing updates; 2) One update made it impossible to enter anything on my iPhone and have it stick (I could see on forums I was not the only person with this problem); and 3) Reality is that my work requires me to use a PC and Outlook so in a perfect world I needed to find something that would support my split personal/business world of tasks. So I started looking again ...
Enter Toodledo - the perfect solution that allows me to have one unified location for all my tasks whether entered on my iPhone, in Outlook, or via the Web. Regardless of the type of device, I know that I can both enter and access my tasks, and that they will rapidly synch between applications and devices types. Nearly flawlessly - I have to say nearly because one (1) time (and one time only) early on did I have a task entered in Outlook not synch properly. Since that one (1) time and a month of heavy use, the problem has never appeared again.
So is the application absolutely perfect? No, I would like to be able to adjust the size of the font used to display information on the iPhone. It is a tad small, but it is passable. The Things interface some how hit me as more "natural" - don't know any other way to describe it. The web based interface for Toodledo is pretty ugly and could look a lot nicer. But the application still deserves 5 stars because it does what it is supposed to, has a lot of power, and has made it possible for me to easily live in a split personal computer world and always have a handle on my tasks.

Best Todo App on the iPhone Because it Scales  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: SRhyse - Sep 26, 2009
Version: 1.5.4
I've tried all the other Todo Apps, but this one always wins me back.
Whether you like GTD, or just want a checklist, Toodledo's there for you. It can potentially have more features than you'll likely use, but seemlessly scales back based on which ones you actually WANT with a few clicks. You can even make your own! It's kinda fun.
If you like the webApp, you'll love this, which it freely syncs with. It encourages you to come up with your own way of using it, and caters to it, rather than locking you in to a predefined 'system.' Can't recommend it enough, especially over the higher priced apps like Pocket Informant. Todo is a close second.

Almost perfect  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: parrothead2 - Sep 23, 2009
Version: 1.5.4
Thank you thank you for putting this app on sale. I have greatly enjoyed setting up my projects, major as well as regular routine stuff. I am amazed at how much customization is possible. Would like to suggest another option for future updates--color coding, either whole line or just font for folders mainly, but also could be useful for other categories as well. Basically so you could see at a glance categories of to-dos or dates, etc. Would also be useful if different priority stars were different colors like green (most important), yellow (med importance), red (low importance)

Great Task Program  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: JKTX - Jan 2, 2009
Version: 1.4
I got rid of my Windows PPC after I got my itouch and have not found a good replacement for the Windows task manager until now. I tried several other apps in the store, and nothing has the flexibility, or the peace of mind, that Toodledo has. Toodledo has plenty of options to display your tasks. It may not meet every single need, but few programs do, and this one is at a bargain price. One of the best features is the automatic synchronization with the web based application (toodledo.com). I can work my task list from anywhere now (either on my ipod, or on the web) and have a synched copy on my itouch. Thank you for bringing this program to the masses.

I love it!  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: HPofSoUt - Sep 22, 2009
Version: 1.5.4
I did a fair amount of research before buying a Task/ToDo application. I wanted one that was able to sync with Outlook or a suitable desktop application. When I signed up for the free version of Toodledo.com and enabled the keyboard shortcut keys I was absolutely amazed!!! Navigation through that site is so fast and intuitive that my thoughts of using Outlook for tasks went away immediately! Toodledo.com is the task manager I have been looking for.
I wondered if the iPhone app of Toodledo would be as amazing as their website version, and the price of $3.99 made me hesitate. When I saw the price go down to $1.99 I jumped in and was pleasantly surprised to find that the iPhone app is the best Task/ToDo list I have ever used (I have been using Palm/Windows Mobile devices for 12 years, and iPhone for a short time)!
Knowing what I know now I wouldn't hesitate at spending $3.99 for this app!

Not perfect, but probably the best.  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: Shawn Bishop - Dec 30, 2008
Version: 1.4
Clean, fast app with more logic and better usability than most to-do apps. There currently is not a way to delete a task which forces you to 'check off' a task to get rid of it - even though you never completed anything. I like the online version of Toodledo although the interface could be cleaner... The wireless, automatic synchronization is simply flawless. Overall, Toodledo is not perfect but it's probably the best task management system I've ever implemented. And unfortunately, I've tested a ton of 'em. ----- Update 12/28/08 ------ I was wrong: there IS a way to delete tasks but figuring how to is difficult (not sure that I can even explain it). Feature Request: the ability to order tasks via dragging them...

Great  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: #1Nerd - Sep 22, 2009
Version: 1.5.4
Toodledo is an awesome website, and their app is very nice. The developers are unbelievably active. Try posting in their forum. I have really rarely seen a company as dedicated to their customers. I have tried all the Toodledo-compatible task managers in the appstore. Some have features that this, the official Toodledo app, does not yet have, but at the same time each of the other ones lacks some features that this app has. In the end, it is a matter of the individual's preferences, but I can say if you are a serious Toodledo user, this is currently the best app for reproducing the amazing experience of using their website. It is not perfect, but it is very good, and given the dedication of Toodledo to constantly improving their products, I have no doubt that this app will continue to outshine the others into the foreseeable future. Update 1.52: This app just keeps getting better. Notifications work great. I love the incredible variety of sorting options. The new automatic sync after making changes is ingenious. You never even have to think about whether you synchronized your data because the app can sync what you add or change as you do it. Update 1.53: Another great update. Landscape is fantastic, and works both for entering text with the big keyboard and for viewing lists in widescreen (great if you use long titles for your tasks). Update 1.54: Reminder sound options are a nice touch. The button for quickly adding a task skipping the details screen is great for adding something when you don't have time to work out the details but want to record it.

Nice Synch with iPhone and ICal  rating of Toodledo - To Do List
By: pdodd - Dec 29, 2008
Version: 1.4
I always kept a simple to-do list and a paper calendar because I didn't trust electronic ones. Plus it was hard for me to see little screens and with arthritic fingers, hard to type. Then I got an iPhone and I was hooked. After trying several free to-do apps and reading reviews of paid ones, I chose Toodledo. I also bought the Toodledo Plus online subscription.
What I like best about Toodledo is that it has all the features I need without being too complicated. I wanted something to keep me productive but not obsessing about stars, due dates, notes, priority lists, subtasks, etc. I wrote a bestselling time management book and I think you can be over-organized, which isn't efficient or effective either.
Another reason I like Toodledo is that it isn't an Apple product. I tried Apple's MobileMe for about one hour and ditched it after it messed up big time. I lost all my Apple Mail To-Dos with no backup. Now with ToodleDo on my Mac, on my iPhone, and on Toodledo's site, I'm very happy my data won't get lost.
