Description:
"Use Your Handwriting" is a fun, intuitive and delightfully addictive way to organize yourself. Instead of typing items in, Use Your Handwriting lets you write them by hand (well, by finger). And no, you won’t be limited to one or two word entries. This ingenious list manager lets you scribble whole sentences, using an exciting method that allows the iPhone screen to accommodate any length of text — when you fill the screen with a word it slides to the left, leaving you more room to write. If you’re a visual person, you can even add a doodle. Have a look at the screen shots for examples. In no time, you’ll be creating lists that organize and inspire and, with a little practice, you’ll be able to scribble items as fast, or even faster, than you’re able to write them on paper. Check out www.geewhizstuff.com. FEATURES: • Create multiple color-coded lists • Toggle easily between lists by shaking the phone • Customize the title of each list with a name or a doodle • Master the intuitive user interface • Add multiple items at a time very quickly—with practice, some users add one new item per second! • Touch to mark an item as high priority • Program high priority items to blink, like neon lights • Swipe to mark as done, swipe again to remove • Frequent updates, and more! Make sure to check out all the possible configurations in Settings --> Gee Whiz Todo

Reviews:
I had to return for 5 star review! By: Hythlodae - Aug 8, 2009 Version: 1.25 When i first tried this App
I was extremely frustrated. It was definitely the best App at taking "writen" notes but i thought what's the point if you can't delete them. The problem is, how to delete a note isn't really clear or obvious in the instructions. Once you find out (by practice) that deleting requires swiping the entire width of the note twice, you'll love this App. And shaking the iPhone to see the 5 color "lists" isn't all that obvious either. I love the simplicity and i love that you can change the position of the items on the lists by hitting "edit". Give this App a chance - it may become your favorite to do list!
Best to do I've ever seen By: Jeff and Rachel Williams - Aug 5, 2009 Version: 1.25 -Shake to delete when adding a note.
-Swip finger to left to check as complete.
-Swipe finger to left again to delete complete note
-shake phone to bring up note color group selector
You have 5 color groups
Mine are
-HOME (ex. Dishes)
-AWAY (ex. Go to bank)
-THIS WEEK (ex. Tab out song for lesson)
-UPS (Rosie on vacation) I work there
-MUSIC MUSIC (Dylan won't be at lesson Friday.) I also work there
Really neat!!! By: Luv2craft - Oct 29, 2009 Version: 2.0 I can't believe the people who say they are having problems. They must not have paid attention to the built in tutorial that starts up when you first open the app. This is so easy to use and it's really nice. I wouldn't mind paying a buck or two for more lists than what comes with this version. Last, all the other finger writers out there don't compare. They look sooo crappy and shaky. This is you own handwriting!! Nice smooth lined & curves. A++
Great app that is one upgrade away from perfect! By: James D Mitchell - Jul 26, 2009 Version: 1.25 :::::::::::::::::::::::7/2009:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::**Update* The one upgrade happened! The newer versions now have all the documentation needed, made a back button, and fixed the bottom tab bar glitchy behavior. Awesome app, one of the best productivity apps! If you like FastFinger you'll love this------------------

While I agree with others that this is at times frustraiting and has no documentation, it IS one of the best, and one of the fastest & most unique list apps... oh, and did I mention it's free!
It needs directions, a swipe back or button when entering tasks(if you write in cursive and go to the right third of the screen, you'll have to erase the note or leave it without crossed T's or dotted I's), and lastly it needs to refresh the blinking notes without refreshing the color boxes at the bottom... very glitchy there.
Pros is the super fast handwritten entry, picture drawing notes, multiple different colored lists, neon/dull/flashing notes to stand out, a great look and a killer app.
To the author, please keep with this, it's already one of the bests lists for productivity and originality! KUDOS!
Truly Innovative! By: Stevearcher - Jul 25, 2009 Version: 1.25 This to-do list, with an icon badge flagging the number of reminders, is incredible! Its brilliant design is so simple and intuitive. Yet some reviewers struggle to grasp its operation because they're expecting to have to interact with it like conventional to-do software. But this one is pure iPhone-inspired. Read the App Store feature list carefully... they are sufficient to instruct. Then, enjoy! It's stroke-smoothing algorithm somehow eliminates jiggly lines. And, after becoming familiar with how its auto-scrolling is triggered, you soon recognize that you're using one of the best touchscreen apps in the store. Finally, and unbelievably, it's FREE!
Best todo app by far!! By: Chris W - Jul 19, 2009 Version: 1.25 This is the best todo app I've come across (I tried all the free ones). It works great and does it in a creative and intuitive way! Also am thankful that the developer listens (thanks ;). If you're on the fence on which app to use, use this one because it has all the features that the perfect app needs, yet it doesn't have too many features. And last, although I don't use it, I think it's a different and good idea to support multiple users. Thanks Gee Whiz!! (btw I seem to have lost my short term memory loss after using this app)
Actually the only thing it needs is that when you add a new item, add it to the top of the list, not the bottom.
This is soo awesome...but... By: Ravenashleyn - Jun 24, 2009 Version: 1.01 It could use updating and instrutions a little hard to get used to... But this app is sooo cool. It's the BEST productive app I've downloaded!!! It has different categories instead of one confusing to do list and it's color coded, so you know exactly what your looking at. and easy to find lists. Very cool and I most definetely recommend it!!! You should atleast try it out, definetely worth the time! :D
Awesome!!!!!! By: Friggo - Oct 16, 2009 Version: 2.0 This is my first review. I was compelled to write a review because of the great new enhancements in the current version that addressed all the deficiencies of the original version. Very clever and most natural to-do lister available. I am not a very organized person and don't like to maintain lists because it's a bother. (The most disorganized people hate to-do lists because it requires you to get organized just to maintain a list). This is the only app that is painless enough and pleasurable enough for me to want to actually jot my to do's. It has helped me so much to get my affairs in order and not forget to attend to matters of importance. The original app was a pain but conceptually powerful enough for me to put up with. I knew it needed improvement but couldn't imagine how the programmer would go about doing so, but every improvement was simple & elegant and just hit the nail on the head! Awesome!
i like it! By: Sujimichi - 22-Aug-2009 Version: 1.50 Nice one peps this is v good. works great for quick short notes. Not ideal for more complex tasks but to replace that scrap of paper on the kitchen table, its perfect. Being able to add little doodles to notes is always a plus. Only bug i noticed is that when u first open it, there are several tabs along the bottom, however after creating a note, the tabs are no longer visble. have to quit and restart to change tab. Other than that thou, its sweet.
I love this app and By: Demill - Oct 9, 2009 Version: 2.0 Use it all the time. It might be my favorite app. I just wish there were a way to either disable the badge count icon or assign the count to a spacific to do/ color list. However, that is my one and only complaint. Otherwise, I am 100% happy. After the recent update I like this app even better and I didn't think that was possible. However, I still wish there was a way to diable the icon badges. Please.

Easy and fun to do app By: Lovesgadgets - Oct 9, 2009 Version: 2.0 Since owning an iPhone, I've downloaded and tried out dozens of to do apps. This is the ONLY one that I've used for more than a week. It's easy to use, I don't have to worry about typing and it's fun!!! Sometimes I even draw my to do items. The upgrade is awesome and fixed a lot of the issues and missing functionality. It's a very solid app! The only other thing I would like to see is the ability to write in portrait mode as sometimes I want to scribble something down with my thumb while driving and dont want to bother with turning the phone.
Best app ever!!! By: Todo list addict - Oct 8, 2009 Version: 2.0 I am a Todo list addict- I write things on a list just to check them off! I have owned an iPhone for almost a year and never wrote a review yet- but this app is perfect especially with the new updates! Thank you, thank you, thank you! All the other ToDo List apps were boring and either tried to do too much making them overwhelming and confusing or did too little which was frustrating! This has everything I need, is really fun and is super easy to use (make sure you read the instructions completely though- you'll get so much more out of it!). It makes my lists so much less stressful! I can doodle everything I have to do! I've downloaded tons of apps and this is by far my favorite!
Not perfect but great potential By: Mr.Galbraith - 23-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0 This app is a really great idea, and I would pay money for an expanded version with the following suggestions;1. Ability to choose colour for each item, or allow to view multiple lists together (So that I can effectivly colour code tasks). 2. Hide/show user interface cues on demand ( be able to use the full screen for writing, hide bars seperating items in list view)3. Add information pages to an item, such as specific due dates etc.4. Use a two finger swipe to scroll left or right, similar to on a multitouch laptop pad.

Only 2 problems By: Pc wizkid - 31-Aug-2009 Version: 1.50 1) seems to crash on iPhone 3gs if items are swiped a certain way.
2) I like it enough I wanna be able to write whole notes, paragraphs, emails :( but cant. wouldn't it be sweet to send a screen shot pic, as a hand written letter with your own freaking signature at the end????and just the general idea in itself is awsome, but I'd prefer to see it happen. It would make this app.........SEMI-perfect?
Anyways, wicked cool none the less.
GETS THE JOB DONE!! By: Claymonger - Nov 21, 2009 Version: 2.2 Love this app! If you are looking for an app that lets you quickly jot your list or ideas down with out having to peck and type, this is the app for you. This app doesn't track your list with deadline dates, graphs, grids, reports....it's just like having a quick piece of paper and pencile to jot down those shopping lists or ideas, or whatever!! It took a bit of getting use to....give it a chance. Be sure to write big in your screen as your handwritting shrinks. Also, I think this app should be in the Productivity category. The only addition I can think of would be maybe (and I mean maybe) a note section for each item on list for those who want to type or write in a little more detail. Thanks again!
A *genuinely* useful app By: jkl234523 - Sep 20, 2009 Version: 1.50 This app is *genuinely* useful. It literally takes a couple of seconds to add a new note. Earlier today, I added a couple of things I wanted to remember to buy while waiting on a stop light while driving. Ok, they were scribbles, but I could read them. Also, with a little bit of effort, the handwriting can be *very neat*. My wife can't stop showing off her handwriting... it looks really pretty. Keep it up guys, and can't wait for the next update.
BEST "TO DO" APP EVER By: Organized123 - 4-Aug-2009 Version: 1.25 This is by far the best to do app that i have ever used. It is so convenient because of the badge icons. The ability to doodle is great for ppl who are visual learners.
A lot of ppl have been having trouble deleting tasks. To delete a task you must swipe it to mark it completed then swipe it again to delete it.
So pleased with this app!! I completely replaced my old one!!!
Would pay for it, but its free
THANKS!!!
