Reviews:
One Wikipedia App To Rule Them All By: Chuck_Gee - Aug 21, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 This app is the best in its class fir handling Wikipedia pictures and graphics. The developer did a great job by adding a double tap feature that hides the toolbars, ensuring maximum display area.Overall, it's quite better than Wikipanion , Wikipedia, Mobile, et al, because of superior usability design. If Apple made a Wiki app, it'd be just like this one.One thing I would ask Comoki is to add the categories that normally accompany every article in the bottom of each page in the full web version. Other than that, one of the must-buys for any iPhone user!
Awesome By: dammitdexter - Aug 21, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 I'm a huge Wikipedia fan, and I've been using this app for awhile. I love it. Very easy to use and read. I like that topics are organized into collapsable sections. Really saves screen space.Ony thing that I don't really like is that it's easy to confuse the "back to search" arrow (at the top) for the "back to previous article" button. Tapping on the "back to search" always takes you back to a blank search field when you often mean to go back to the previous article. A little frustrating.

Best of the Wiki apps By: cryodrake - Feb 26, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is the best of the Wikipedia apps for the Iphone/Ipod touch that I've tried. The ability to save Wikipedia entries for offline viewing and the great formatting of the articles are what make this my top choice. In case the developers look here for suggestions, I would love the following functionality as well: - Option for automatic saving/cacheing of wikipedia articles as you browse - The ability to sort saved articles via folders - Bookmarking specific sections of articles - Option to lock the rotation Even if those functions are never implemented, this is still hands down the best Wiki app.
Far better than any other By: Bob Michael - Feb 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have tried every single Wikipedia app in the app store but none can compare to this one. The way this app formats the articles really is spectacular, and the user interface is so simple and logical unlike any other app I have tried. I also really like the way I can browse through articles with back/forward buttons which remember the place I was reading in the article. This app is truly worth the price as it is far superior to any other apps available. If you love Wikipedia like I do, do not hesitate!
Perfect Wikipedia App! By: Frampton - Jan 3, 2009 Version: 1.0 I can scarcely make it through a day without checking Wikipedia for some bit of information or another, so this app has truly become an invaluable resource for me. The interface is beautiful, the text size is adjustable, and I love the way each article is broken down into sections that expand instantly with a simple touch. This feature gives you the chance to find the right section quickly and easily without having to scroll forever. I also really like that you can view a full screen version of any photo with just a quick tap. Very nice application indeed!
Fantastic! Simply a JOY to use! By: Jeron Moore - Dec 15, 2008 Version: 1.0 I used Comoki's awesome web app version for months before and after trying many of the Wiki-readers at the app store. Finally their much-anticipated (at least, by me) native iPhone app has launched, and I am not disappointed at all! Search no further, this is absolutely THE BEST mobile Wikipedia app, hands down. There is Comoki's app, and then there is the rest.
Additions I'd love to see:
+ Remember the last page I was viewing, and relaunch with that page, caches and ready-to-go.
Wish list:
+ Ability to sign on to Wikipedia with login info and edit a Wikipedia right from the iPhone. Not sure if Wikipedia makes these APIs available for developers or not.
Thanks for such an outstanding app!
Awesome Wiki reader, the best out of all I tried By: sting7k - Jan 3, 2009 Version: 1.1 I tried every free Wiki reader and saw lots of reviews online. I used wikipanion for a while and then wikitap (both free) and they are both good and offer a bunch of features. But this one is my favorite. It formats the page nearly exactly like the webpage, but still customized for the iPhone. You can change the font to a large number of sizes to make it easier to read. This is my new Wikipedia reader, it out performs all the others.
Pretty spiffy, however... By: iVinh - Dec 28, 2008 Version: 1.0 There's always room for improvement. I've been using wikipanion as my preferred wiki reader for awhile until I picked this up. The only thing I'm missing from this app is the ability to rotate the view into landscape; I'm not terribly fond of reading with an iPod in portrait position. Also it wouldn't hurt to have wikipedia's main page formatted to load as the start up screen of the app. I've eased many boring afternoons on wikipanion by surfing through whatever random tidbits are on wikipedia's main page. Nonetheless this app is fine start!

Excellent app By: Phaelix - 08-Mar-2009 Version: 1.1 The low scoring reviews of this app miss the point completely- it's a wikipedia browser, not wikipedia. Don't rate this app down because you bought the wrong one.
A lot of thought has gone into making this app display wikipedia for the iPhone platform and it reads very well. If you want a way to browse wikipedia from your iPhone without constantly zooming and downloading unnecessary data, this app will suit you down to the ground.
As a prior poster mentioned, horizontal display would be welcome.
Love it By: Peter-n-AustinTX - Nov 7, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 Love the interface, love the format & really like that I can save an entry. Two enhancements would make it drop-dead great!1- the ability to organize and categorize saved articles similar to Internet bookmarks2- tha ability to email the wikipedia link for a page (for all the times I look something up to prove a point, only to still be challeged :0)
Pretty nice By: eduardd - Sep 22, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 There's two features I enjoy1. The section organizer2. U can save all the articles to an offline bookmark section. Pretty neat feature.
Real Good By: SBlazer - Sep 13, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 My 2nd best app dat actually work.
What's the deal with the icon change? By: Danny_V - Sep 1, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 Why did they change the icon? The W looks like crap and why did they change it to wiki mobile? Maybe due to legal issues but seriously. Is a letter and a font copyrighted from wikipedia? How can you do that? Otherwise it is the best app out there when it comes to wikipedia apps.
Swell By: Cookey Monster - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 When yr on search they should let u landscape mode. Also u can delete yr history one by one.
Best Wiki App Available! By: AlexMBeach - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 This app is fast, organized, and easy to use. I would have paid more money.
Better then the official app By: Fredfredbug4 - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 Well done and simple and easy to use worth the money
A breeze to use By: victoriachan - 25-Jul-2009 Version: 1.2 Beautiful formatting makes it really easy to search and read. Viewing pictures works well for my iPhone 3GS, didn't have any problem with it.
It's a well thought out and well executed product, definitely a good buy.
