Best Wikipedia App Yet!

Thanks to Next Mobile Web for the most functional Wikipedia app yet. Not only is it faster than the webapp and as fast as other native apps, but it has many features not available on other apps. I'm especially excited about the "Nearby" function, which delivers Wikipedia articles based on your location. Very cool! That, coupled with basic wiki-style functions, like "Featured", "Popular", "Random Article" and "News", which are not available on other apps, makes this the best choice out there.
Once you actually find the article, there are even more options: increase/decrease the font size, and e-mail the article to a friend or to yourself.
I only have two complaints. The first is minor. I noticed in the description that the app saves the text in order to load frequently visited sites more quickly. This is a great feature, but I could see how someone who uses this app frequently for a wide variety of articles might be concerned about the space used in the cache. Wikiamo has an optional setting that allows users to clear this cache. I don't see anything similar in Quickpedia. This should be in a future update.
The other complaint is that you don't have access to the Wiki user features, namely discussion pages, editing and creating articles, user pages, etc. None of the iPhone Wikipedia apps have this feature, which makes me curious if Wikipedia even allows outside groups such access to their site. I know some other apps that transfer popular sites have talked about this as an issue preventing greater functionality. If this is not the case, I would love to see this in a future update. If it is the case, the developer might want to explain this in the description.
Thanks for keeping it free, and thanks for finally bringing a true Wikipedia experience to the iPhone.

I have a couple if other wikipedia apps but this is by far the smoothest, works very quickly and the interface is very well presented. It also has a couple of features that I belive to be unique to this particular app, like the "nearby" feature, which as you can probably guess, finds articles related to your current location. Not the most life changing feature but nonetheless a nice touch which could come in very handy when sightseeing whilst abroad. Overall I'm very happy with this product and hope it's a sign if things to come from this developer. Oh and it's free!! What more could you ask for!!!

This could easily be my new favorite Wikipedia viewer for the iPhone if some simple issues were taken care of: First, the app displays the first alphabetical articles in the search screen without even typing anything- why? Second, because the same initial articles are displayed to everyone, the Popular article section is weighted. It shows all those articles instead of ones that are actually being looked up. Lastly, I got an error page when trying to use Nearby.. but I sure am excited to see that working. Great app and again, gorgeous interface (which has a custom black translucent keyboard option btw), looking forward to an update.

I love Quickpedia. It's far better then the other Wikipedia apps I've tried. I especially love the collapsable sections, it makes everything so much easier. One thing I'd like to see though, is a landscape mode. That'd be great.

This app is very good, in fact it is even better than the official wikipedia app. Easy navigation and a very good layout, recommended.

The viewing area is too small and often spans off the edge (making it possible to scroll horizontally).
There are other free alternatives which gives you a larger viewing area (no huge bottom tab bar and a passive top navigation bar).
The search and history combined into the same view is a very good feature that I like but it needs to fix the other issues.
