The meaning of free is always good! By: Bucky5676 - Jun 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 Ever hear the expression, "free is always good?" if you've taken a tour arround the app store you'll quickly be one of the first to disprove that theory.
In the case of the wikihow application however you can throw your hands up with praise and say "hallelujah."
Ever find yourself thinking... "I wonder how to do this?" Here's your answer.
Sit back and relax as you find step by step solutions to many things you've always pondered.
Type in key words or phrases and wikihow will pull from the data base everything related to your topic. Not only that but there is an awesome survival guide that works both online and offline. So if you're ever stuck in an emergency situation without a signal or just with your iPod touch then you'll still have some solutions available to you.
Download this must have app.

Really fun and useful app! By: Erin A. - Apr 15, 2009 Version: 1.0 This wikiHow app is really cool. I love their "How to of the Day" articles - I have them on my iGoogle page, too. These are usually helpful, and sometimes kind of out there or funny, but they are almost always a good read. Right now, they're things like how to hypnotize yourself, how to get your FBI file, or how to reinstall OS X. It also has a "shake" setting that brings up random articles (if you've ever tried a random article on Wikipedia, you know this can be pretty entertaining). And finally, the Survival kit has great stuff - think how cool you'd be if you saved a choking person with your iPhone! So far, it seems to work great. No crashes, everything operates as described. One minor thing - don't read the article on how to deliver a baby unless you want all the gory details!
A must have app. Get it. By: Sam Sun 29 - Oct 10, 2009 Version: 1.2 Every iPhone owner should have this app on their phone. It contains thousands of clearly written how-to articles detailed with photos and videos. It esentially is life's missing instruction book. Whether you need to know how to fix a flat tire, deliver a baby, or break up with your girlfriend, wikiHow has the answer. If I ever meet one of the volunteer wikiHow editors who painstakingly detail these articles I'm going to buy them a beer. If you are ever bored, just shake the article for a random article and learn something new. Such fun.

Not 3.0 ready. By: aSoulRedeemed - Jul 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app was perfect in 2.2.1, but when I upgraded to OS 3.0, landscape mode got glitchy. I kind of never liked landscape mode in most apps, it just seems thrown together and quite cheesy, to say the least.
Overall, this app is WikiHow in it's complete, unabridged edition, so there's no way not to like this app. I'd even pay for it, something I can say about few apps.
So just pick it up, and dive into the world of WikiHow!
Much better than Howcast; crashes less By: Spunkylemon - Jun 1, 2009 Version: 1.0 I heart this app! I used to have howcast; I still like howcast but had to delete it bc it crashed a lot n their videos buffered a lot. With wikiHow, ive noticed that it crashes less now and I can find almost every how-to article imaginable!
It doesn't have as many videos, but I prefer text anyway bc I learn better when I read n not have to concentrate on listening so hard...and the directions are presented in a step by step format; so organized! I'd give it all 5 stars if u can access everything on wikiHow offline, but having total access offline is not possible without taking up so much GB on ur iPod. overall, I love it, especially the shake for a random article feature!
Bad organization By: Resik - Oct 11, 2009 Version: 1.2 Good app, fun to browse through. Horrible organization of the offline emergency stuff. An example... "How to identify if someone has had a stroke" is filed conveniently under "I" for identify. Every article is sorted this way so make sure you know which emergencies need identification, which need assessment, etc. I suppose I should be happy that everything didn't just get filed under "H" for "How To" ;)Secondly, if I am bitten by a rattlesnake, I don't need three screens of text telling me I should have paid more attention to the rattlesnake warning signs, including example pictures. Great idea, and I realize it is just pulling info from a wiki, but this is more for pre-emergency study purposes than "oh crap I think I'm gonna die" emergencies. That said the non emergency articles are useful, if annoying to find. I will keep the app, as it will be fun to read through, and I of course still give it 4 stars :)

3 more things By: Tomatoe Head - Jun 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 1) Search feature for SURVIVAL KIT section.

3) Fix the problems with landscape mode.
awesome By: hatob - Jun 26, 2009 Version: 1.0 this app is awesome. Every ipod touch and iphone user should have this. i use it every day. it has more then survival info it has info on almost any how to question you would want to know. plus it is free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this would be a great deal even if it was $10
Free at it's best By: anewperfectday - Jun 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 Superb articles on Howto stuff at an affordable cost, free. However, even though its great and all, I'm not sure if it is just my iphone (3G S) or what, everytime I tilt it for horizontally, it can't change back to verticle view and the menu won't show unless it is in verticle view.
