Was better before the update, I don't mind the ads but it is glitchy.To the guy that said it logs you out when you close the app: check your settings, you can choose how long to stay logged in while out of the app.To the guy that is bashing Apple because he doesn't like the app: Apple doesn't make the app, AOL makes the app. Yell at them not Apple and iphone/itouchThe AIM for windows app also has ads FYI.

App crashes upon open. I used it quite successfully before the update (installed 10-19-09). I had dealt with the slowness of sending/receiving and even learned to deal with the inability to type while a message was coming in. I like it for on the go but I can't even do that now since I can't launch the thing. Was excited to see changes but who knows when I will be able to.

If you updated from an old version, you will experience crashing upon signing in.To FIX that issue, simply uninstall the app and re-download it.You shouldn't have a problem then. Worked for me.

Is it really too much to ask for a landscape mode? Or a least an option to confirm the message before you send it? I can't say how many times I pressed send by accident when I went for the backspace button.

Agree with recent reviewers. It crashes soon after launch. WTF? Don't they test programs before they release them? Who is the genius who runs quality control for AOL?

Awesome app. It works perfectly on my iPod. It's great when I'm at work or just upstairs and don't want to go down to talk. Everything works perfectly, but I do wish you could turn it to landscape and use the wider keyboard. Other then that I wouldn't change a thing. --------------------------------------------------ok. It's been long enough. This is the only messanger app on my phone that doesn't support landscape mode. There is absolutely no reason why there shouldnt be a landscape keyboard by now. Even just in the IM windows. This is unexceptable! Fix it!

app crashes after update

after the recent update, the app will crash within a few min. I'm able to log in, but then soon after, it just crashes back to the springboard.

The new update fixed my problems with the program slowing to a stop every single time I got an IM. How did they fix this? They made it so I can't recieve anything!!!!! The program crashes CONSTANTLY when opening, and the rare times it doesn't crash, it won't connect to a network. This app was better when it was just painfully slow.

Well overall this app. works great. At first it would crash every couple of minutes but then I logged into aim on my computer and deleted 150+ screennames that i barely even talk to so now im down to 120+ s/n......with less memory being used up the app. runs more smoothly and is very helpful to me...especially since im on the go most of the time.....maybe people are experiencing difficulties due to the fact that they might have TOO MANY S/N! lol but thats just me.......:)
